Hello Friends of the Forum.

Please give me your opinions of LinkedIn. This website was encouraged by a CEO that owns Women for Hire on GMA today. Indeed.com offers forums for some informal networking but I need some direction connections.

My husband has used it for awhile now, and it's been very beneficial to him. He's VERY particular about websites (and well, things in general), so I'm positive that if he's using it regularly, it's legit. He's in the business world, and is looking to start his own company (consulting). I know that he's gotten "linked in" to many people this way; people who have really helped him. Not only in his new endeavors to start his own consulting co., but which other business-related issues.

I'm on it- hubbys on it...some other Cathe folks are as well. Cant say that I've used it to its fullest but DH has (he's in technology) and likes it.

I am in sales and use it. Good tool to stay connect and network within your industry. It is another great networking tool.

I would recommend it.

Hi Jennifer! I'm on it; I'm in technology and it has been very useful in many ways including finding contacts we wanted to hire, networking about projects people are working on that we may be interested in discussing their technology, etc. I've also used it to get introduced to other professionals I want to collaborate with. It is a professional website and not a facebook type of website. My DH uses it also. I recommend it.
