Like/review/verify/don't buy check in for 2016- 2024

We drove back today to beat the snow predicted across the midwest tomorrow. My son drove the last 5 hours with his learner's permit. That is a new experience!

I needed to move so tonight I did a YT step video that I had saved in my playlist over a year ago. Really great workout. I did all the low impact options because I really didn't feel like sweating it out a bunch.

Good morning,

DH and I will go to Miami on Thursday, it's our 35th Anniversary. I am not sure about the internet connection at the hotel. This morning I wrote down all the exercises for week 4 D 1 to see if we can do in case we run into a internet problem :) I found a timer online for the burnout set and abs. It kicked my butt this morning.

W4 D1 Chest & Tricpes

Set 1: 10 reps/3x
Chest Press
Tricep Press
Flys
Tricep Kickbacks

Set 2: 10 reps/3x
Decline Press
Skull Crushers
Rotating Chest Press
Single Side Crushers

Burnout Round: 3 rounds/15 sec rest between each round
Wide pushups – 30 sec
Tricep pushups – 30 sec
My triceps were fried at this point.

Core: 3x
Reaching Situps– 30 sec
Bicycle Twists – 30 sec

Stretch

Waving Hi to everyone that checks in after me. BBL!

This morning I did Kelly Coffey Kettlebell Kickbox Fusion, 26 minutes, 166 calories, met 5.8, 1,893 steps, heart rate average 134, max 165. I then did Build and Burn Lower Body Tabata, 27 minutes, met 4.7, 140 calories, heart rate 118 average, 157 max, 1,153 steps. I finished off with Cathe's Fit Tower Advanced Legs, GLutes, and core skipping the warm up and core, 28 minutes , met 3.5, 95 calories, 82 steps. I wore 2# ankle weights while doing this. Total time was 81 minutes, 401 calories burned.

Belinda, going to Miami for your anniversary ought to be fun. I have seen all kinds of timers online. Can you use your Fitbit or phone?

Diane Sue - great job with your KCM workouts. I am looking forward to warmer weather. I would a timer in google, which worked fine. I also could use my phone.

Belinda- Miami sounds nice! Enjoy your anniversary!

No workout yesterday as I had a meeting with a client 3 hours away so we left early and got back late.

This morning I did Peak 10 More Cardio Strength. 55 minutes. I don't remember if I mentioned that will the Fit Body Challenge workouts I also got access online to all the original Peak 10 workouts! Again this morning I followed the modifier and didn't do all the jumping!

Quick check and I will come back. I had the dryer delivered early this morning and got some laundry started. I signed up for the 30 day trial of Les Mills on Demand and got that set up with my Roku after the dryer was set up. I did Combat and yoga #2 , 352 calories, met 5.9, heart rate average 127, max 168, 3,453 steps, actual workout is 61 minutes but I skipped the meditation at the end so it was 54 minutes for me. . I then went to the Short workouts on Les Mills on Demand and did CXWorx ab blast #23, 15 minutes, 53 calories, met 3.2. I think the short workouts are remixes from other workouts. I really liked it. Thought I would do more abs, but this was tough enough. Total time was 69 minutes, 405 calories. I loved the workouts and there is so much variety on Les Mills on Demand. I will have to look at some of the other styles of workouts and weight work. This was last minute and not planned out this morning.

Doreen, that is great that you get access to all of the Peak 10 workouts. You will have plenty of workouts to try.

Belinda, nice workout. Waiting to see what you post later.

I am back: I signed up for LM on Demand. They offered a free month trial.

I also did LM BODYSTEP #111 . That was a lot of fun. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the music in that one. This one had some weight workout mixed in. This one had a lot of shoulder work. My shoulders are fried. Need to read the description before I click on a workout, lol. I am so close to signing up for LM on Demand. Love the workouts, music and variety.

Is it just me or does Cathe's premixes look like they are just stung together like in her last few series? I don't see anything special than Main workout + Staggered Upper Body + Abs + stretch:confused: Maybe I am missing something? So far, I am not really impressed with the premixes. I probably will cancel my preorder once I see clips and get the downloads only. I just should have gotten the downloads instead of the dvd's in the first place.

My workout is done, and I need to run errands, but am waiting for a check to come in the mail. I started with Coffey Fit Raw Just Step, 24 minutes, heart rate average 141, max 168, 2,194 steps, 156 calories, met 5.9. I then did Les Mills on Demand Body Step #107 Express, 32 minutes, met 5.8, 204 calories, average heart rate 133, max 155, 2,775 steps. I then did Les Mills Short Body Pump #102 arms, 16 minutes, heart rate average 103, max 128, 324 steps, met 4.5, 79 calories. I finished off with Les Mills Short Body Flow Yoga focus on hip opening, 14 minutes, met 2.0 31 calories. Total time was 86 minutes, 370 calories. The body pump had the usual light barbell total body warm up. I did not do the clean and press and I used only a 15# barbell for this. The arms started with triceps alternating overhead extensions with a weight plate(15# me) and single arm kickbacks 10# dropping to 5 when they did the pumping move. They repeated these 3 times then moved to biceps which was slow, quick, halfs, singles, pumps etc. I used 12# and dropped to 10# dumbbells. Their weight plates have a better handle grip in the center than mine do so it depends on the moves which I use.

Belinda, I have not paid any attention to Cathe's new workouts. I guess because I did not pre-order, the anticipation of how I will use them is not there. I will look later. I am really liking Les Mills too. I have always loved the dvds from Pump and Combat, so I am not surprised that I like the streaming. They seem to have a pretty professional set up on them. The music is great and all of the instructors are motivating.

Diane Sue - that's right...you didn't preorder the new workouts. I LOVE, LOVE the LM workouts and the music. Love the professional set up on the workouts too. I agree all the instructors are motivating. You sure getting lots of use out of LM. Good for you!

Where is Doreen?

Aghh.. you are making me want to try LM on demand! I actually have the app on my roku- just have never set up an account. It's on my to do list!

This morning I did the Fit Body Challenge fit test for 25 min and then did a Mindy Mylera cycle workout for 20 min.

Belinda- I agree the premixes look all the same. I guess they have just figured out a template to do them and keep following it to get the bonuses all added in.

Doreen - they have a free trial. Try it! It's a lot of fun. They have really music. I am really disappointed in all the premixes. They all look the same. You don't need a dvd for those premixes, IMO! I will cancel my preorder and sign up for a year to LM. Lots of variety and they are fun. Great job yesterday,

Belinda - Yup- I'm tempted but I want to try to do a full rotation of FBC. We'll see how long that goes before I get tired of it. Its not much lifting - all cardio and metabolic weights. This morning my husband was sleeping on the couch as the guy he watches didn't sleep last night so I didn't want to trapse through and wake him. I just did Fit Body Challence Flex and Release upstairs so as to not make a bunch of noise!

See you later.
