hi,

Need your input on LIC and Low Max...posted it in wrong forum prior to this...sorry.

Wanted to get low impact workout and was curious which one you would recommend.

Thank you.

R:)

Cupcake(awesome!),

It's hard for me to pick! I love them both! They are both such great step workouts! LIC has the added bonus of weight circuits but you can always mix in some weights with Low Max if you really want a circuit workout. I probably do LIC without the weight circuits (cardio only premix) more than with them...hmmm

Seriously, I can't decided which I would HAVE TO HAVE if I could only choose one. It's like Sophie's Choice...:eek::p

Let me say this, you can't go wrong with either one! :D

I agree with Lisa. They are 2 of my favorites, and I would rebuy both of them in a second if something happened to them...Sophie's Choice, very funny Lisa.

You can't go wrong with either, but you would be better with both

I don't know-- I trade LIC, seemed like too much of a mish mash to me. And, I only like Low Max as a step workout, but it is fun for that purpose.

Yeah, it really depends on what you're looking for. Personally, LIC is at the top of my favorites for cardio, but I only do the cardio premix & almost never do the strength training. The choreo & music are a blast, BUT if you're looking for a high cardio cal burn Low Max would be the better choice.

My recommendation is buy them both. ;)

I like them both but I prefer LIC much, much more! The music is better and the background is brighter. I love the choreography and it's a step workout that I actually get into and look forward to. The premixes are great too!

I love them both but it really depends on what your goal is with the purchase. If you want cardio and weights than definitely go with LIC. If you want a longer cardio workout you should go with Low Max

I like both but Low Max is my favorite. It is like a low impact I-Max. LIC does not seem to get my heart rate up enough but I do like the weights. If you can get both it would be a great set to have to start with. Alternating them would be great to get both the cardio and strengh you need to condition your body and lose weight if that is your goal. There are great premix's on Low Max to help you get started also.

That's half the fun, cupcake!! I hope you enjoy your new workout. Could be worse, we could ALL of our favorite Cathe's, then you'd be in real trouble!!

:)

I also really like them both. What I enjoy about LIC is that you can do it with no music, as the music on that particular DVD really grates on my nerves. And I think the weight work is excellent. But I do find that Low Max is a tougher workout in terms of cardio. I absolutely agree that having them both is the best -- as well as some of the older ones, which are way tougher than either of these!

Low Impact Circuit is much easier than LowMax. Lowmax has some pretty tough blasts in it. From a fun factor I like LIC better.

LIC is my all time favourite Cathe workout - love the music, the choreo and the variety of premixes. It's the only Cathe workout I do in it's entirety every single time cos it's so much fun.

I love both and can't imagine not having both workouts! I find Low Impact Circuit easier just because of the circuits so it is easier to get through. I struggle with Low Max - I think it is a much harder workout. But I love the music in Low Impact Circuit - so much fun and motivating! You really can't go wrong with either one - it just depends on what you are looking for like other people have mentioned.

I love both, with a slight preference for Low Max because I find it tougher so I feel more awesome after I do it.

OK, this is really corny, but does anyone else find it really adorable when Cathe says "two butt kicks low!" in Low Max? Everytime she says it I smile, it just strikes me as really cute.

Thank you!

So I have had these for about 3 weeks and I need to thank you for suggesting that I get both! It is tough to choose! They both have so many options and it`s so nice not to have to jump around and still get good cardio. Is LIS a good one to try. Or do you have any other suggestions for low impact step workouts.

Glad you like the DVD's! I have never done LIS but wanted to recommend Imax 2. Though it is not low impact, it is very easy to modify it to be low impact. That's what I do, and I still get a GREAT workout everytime. And I totally agree: It is nice not to have to jump around and still have a great cardio workout! :D
