LIC and IMAX3, or SP&J/Step Blast?

Hi!
Just wanted a few opinions. I have a gift certificate to Collage Video. ($50). I have been really into the step routines. I have Low Max, Imax 2, Cardio and Weights, Body Max 2, to name a few. I would like to get either LIC and IMAX3, or Step, Pump and Jump/Step Blast. Any suggestions or comments? Thanks, Nancy J. ~~~~~

If you want complex choreography, go with Step Blast; I think the Step Jump Pump step section is fairly intermediate in terms of intensity and complexity. I personally like SJP's hi/lo section, AND it's ab/core routine.

If you want a step up (ar ar) (sorry - couldn't resist) from IMax2, then certain I-Max 3 is the way to go. I think the choreo is a bit more complex, and the interval intensity is more . . . well, intense.

I personally think that LIC might be a bit too light for you if you're getting into pure step at this time, although I really, really like the blast-only add-on premix.

If you had to choose one of the 3 you've listed, I think your best bet would be Step Blast / SJP.

Hello Nancy,

How about Rhythmic Step DVD that has IMAX and MIC on it? The DVD cost $50. $50 for 3 very different workouts, now that is a bargain.

Rhythmic Step has complex choreography but once you learn it, it's very dancy and a lot of fun. The other two are interval training and one long (hard) endurance floor aerobics combined with intense, but simple choreography, stepping. Or go with the Classics DVD which has 3 step workouts on it. They are all more steady state cardio step, but high impact. I love this tape and do use this quite often. Power Hour, Step Fit and Step Works, they are so good I can't can't decide which is my favourite. Maybe Step Fit.

I don't have any of the DVDs that you listed other than Low Impact Circuit and I freakin' LOVE it! I cannot imagine my life without this DVD. The choreography is super fun, the blasts are amazing, and the weight work it really good too.

I would go for LIC...

In terms of bang for the buck, SJP/SB is the way to go. SB is my favourite pure cardio workout. It is truly a blast. SJP is also a hoot. Then you take all the premixes that combine the two workouts, and you have my desert island dvd. It's a fantastic dvd that belongs in every step-junkie's collection.

Thanks for the suggestions!!! Now I'm in big trouble}( I want them all!!! Guess whats on my wish list for Christmas? A gift certificate to Cathe.com!!! Anyways, I'm leaning towards Step Pump&Jump/Step Blast, however, I checked out the clip of LIC on the website, and it looks like so much fun!!! Hmmmm.... The old ones look fun, too....:D

LOL! Sometimes, fingers move faster than brains, I think. I try to reread my posts before posting, especially after I've found some shameful typos!, but sometimes I don't, and I later come back, when editing time is up, and think "Who's the idiot who typed "their" instead of "there" there?

Man. Now I KNOW that's going to be on my next order. I've been trying to decide and you TOTALLY made up my mind for me! Thanks.

Just to be clear, the Classics has Power Max on it, not Power Hour. :)

I went through all my DVDs recently to categorize them all to start plugging into rotations.

To the OP, get them all! :D Rhythmic Step and Step Blast are my favorite step workouts of Cathe's. Although, Low Max is high up there, too. I'm trying to incorporate more weights into my workouts now, though, to break through a plateau (although just resting seems to have helped a lot!! Who knew?).
