Let's talk Yogurt

Okay, what is the best tasting yogurt but low in fat and sugar?

I'm thinking plain (no flavors added) but not sure which one is the best.

Any ideas?

Elaine:)

I only ever get plain nonfat yogurt. I used to add Equal (tells you how long ago I did that), but don't feel the need anymore. I'll get whichever is on sale- Dannon or Lucerne (Safeway brand).

Don't waste any time or money on any of the (unclean) low carb "yogurts" they are a disgusting example of how messed up people who work for the food industry can get. My .02!

Stonyfield Farms non-fat, no sugar, no artifical sweetners, organic.. I add Splenda. It also has 2 gm. inulin which is a soluble fiber.

Okay, I just had to chime in. I just had the best yogurt I've ever had in my life!!!!!!! It's not low fat or low sugar though.

Yoplait - Whipped Chocolate Raspberry!!! OMG!!!!!!! Sooooooooooooooooooooooo delicious!!!

Dani! I completely agree! I LOVE LOVE LOVE those Yoplait Whips! My favorites are Key Lime and Lemon Meringue. It tastes like you are totally cheating and eating something unclean. I just stocked up on 10 of them (on sale) at the store last night!

LOL! Angie! You did??? I just bought about 15 of them today!!! I looked again, it's actually Chocolate Mousse Chocolate Raspberry Whipped!!!

Teehee! I'm whipped for these Whips!! :p

My favorite yogurt is...Dannon Non-fat Yogurt. I just love it mixed with cottage cheese and Fiber 1 cereal. I like it with tuna and onion. I also enjoy it all by itself. I think the zing to the flavor is what I like the best. I also reallllly like Yoplait Chocolate yogurt.

If you are looking for plain yogurt I got one that gives you the most bang for your nutrition buck. Unfortunatly they are a bit pricier than others but so worth it (anywhere form 1.69-1.99), I cannot eat other yogurts anymore. Its the "greek" style yogurt. The company name if FAGE Total yogurt. There are a few different kinds. The regular one I stay away from as it has 20g fat but you can either get the 0% fat or 2%. The 2% is my favorite as it packs 8g carbs, 4g fat and a whopping 17g protein in one 7 oz. container. Thats a great serving of protein for a small snack. Greek style yogurt is already strained so the texture is so thick that if you turn the container over it will not fall out, making it more filiing too. I either put in a splenda or add some fresh strawberries. I'm addicted! I have actually gone from store to store to find it. The only Supermarket I have seen it in so far is Stop & Shop and not all of them just a select few and most if not all gourmet/natural markerts should carry it.

let me know if you get it, curious to see your opinion on it

Edited to add: you will find it with the other yogurts in gourmet shops but in Stop & Shop you find it where the gourmet cheeses are, usually in one of those middle floating isles that are common to all the markets, near the deli counters.

I second the Stonyfield Farms yogurt. Not only do I add Splenda, but some natural PB too...it is so yummy!

I may just get some for that time I am craving something sinfull:p

Stoneyfield is tops in my book for nutrition and taste!

Next, I like Dannon.

For some reason, Yoplait makes me nauseous. What is up with that?
