Good Morning All!!

Pure Cardio - done (WooHoo!!). I've been dreading this workout and Shaun got me a bit scared when he started talking in the beginning about how nervous he was about the workout. I should have previewed this workout because I thought we were going to go through another round of the exercises and I was thrilled when we did not :p Call me crazy, but this may end up being one of my favorite workouts from this series (I'm right there with you, Dela) I liked it :D

Aveggiegirl - not sure what to suggest for a tough warmup aside from a few minutes on the TM, sorry I'm not that creative. I'm surprised not to see Fit44 either, she definitely helped encourage my interest in this series.

Iseefitpeople - yep, those squat pulses in CR are brutal, but I guess there is a purposes for them :)

Ffte - not sure if you have left for camping yet, but have a great time and we will be waiting to hear about your great workouts - how's that for motivation :D

Hope everyone has a great one!!

Good morning all...haven't done my workout yet but now I am psyched for it. I have been dreading it but sooooo need it after my birthday yesterday. Lunch out with a flour less chocolate waffle for dessert. Dinner pizza and more cake and ice cream. MY LORD is all i have to say I am ready to work.

I'll report back later. Have a great day everybody

Whewhoo!! Pure Cardio!! ITA with Jennifer and Dela; it's my favorite so far. That was awesome. Those who haven't done it, it's tough, but it's endorphin heaven. :D

Jennifer, I leave later this afternoon. I plan on taking the workouts. If the T-storms happen tomorrow I'll have to wait till Sunday night. :(

veggiegirl, If I had to guess Cynthia (aka Fit44) is probably checking in at VF and may not have time to get over here too.

So Pure Cardio:
I substituted standing exercises for the last two. I was not bringing my head below or even level with my heart at that point. Not.happening. Next time I'll have to remember to insert the suicide jumps and push-up jacks earlier and then do the subbed moves during suicide jumps and push-up jacks.

I added just a few exercise afterwards. I did reps of 12 of everything. Switching between exercises
Tri's
2 sets kickbacks and then overhead extentions
Bi's
2 set bicep curls
Shoulders
1 set side, front and rear delt raises (these fatigued quickly so only one set)
Back
1 set double arm rows (see note on shoulders)

I may not get a chance to check in later today so here's to a great workout for everyone, both today and tomorrow.

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, JENNYFIT!! Sounds like you celebrated as you should - yum :p You're a Leo, right?? My youngest DD's birthday is next Wed, 7/29 and she fits the Leo sign to a "T" - you must be a fun person!!! Now get to work on that workout :p:p:p:p:p

Happy Friday!!!:D:D

I did 4DS Back weight work and those one arm rows felt really good. I love to let the weight go down slow and stretch out the back and shoulder. I went slower with my reps than Cathe did because of the stretching during the exercise. Today was also Cardio Power and Resistance. So glad it's over! My quads felt very heavy today. I suppose that's a good thing. Maybe all of the plyo is working after all.:D

Does anyone know how many calories they are burning with these workouts? I'd like to know but I don't own a monitor.

I plan to do legs tomorrow and give the Insanity a rest for a day.

Have a great weekend.

good morning ladies. i just did pure cardio and cardio abs. i could hardly breathe during pure cardio. i posted on the open discussion forum about the dread factor with these workouts but i'm finding that i'm just chickening out and i really need to stick with them. the whole point of them is to get you out of your comfort zone which they definately do. plus it helps to know that the actually hardcore workout part is only 20 minutes long so i just tell myself i can do anything for 20 minutes. tomorrow will probably be a recovery workout and some additional cardio.

Sorry Jenny,
I'm going to blame the endorphin high for clouding my brain, but I completely forgot to wish you a belated Happy Birthday. I thought the 23rd was still Cancerian, but I just looked it up and it said the 22nd. Your right on the cusp I guess.

veggiegirl,
According to my GWF I burned 415 calories doing Pure Cardio and the added weight work. I'm sure my HRM would have come out much higher, but I need to replace the battery in the watch part and I haven't gotten to that yet.

Thanks for the info on the calories Dawn.

Kariev, I do the same thing as you. I tell myself that the "hard" part really isn't that long. Maybe that's what get's me through it.

Great job on the Pure Cardio ladies!!! Isn't that feeling of accomplishment at the end worth all the effort?
Today is an off day for me, but I teach an advanced step and sculpt class every Friday so I did get a great workout in this morning. The whole class was redfaced and sweaty by the end of the hour which is a great way to end the week and start the weekend.
I start week 2 tomorrow, so i think it might by CPR, i'll have to look. I am ready for another Pure Cardio workout, I felt so good at the end of that workout.

Happy Birthday Jennyfit... here's to a happy healthy year ahead!!

Brenda in Indiana

Happy Birthday Jennyfit! sounds like you celebrated the way I do:p!

I am sooooo sore from M2W1 legs. But I did my insanity workout anyway. After the warmup I forgot all about the DOMS pain I was in. I did the 2nd wrkout. I think that is Power cardio and Resistance.
It definitely was not as hard as the first workout. I have one complaint about these workouts....the stretch after the warmup is was too long. The stretch at the end should be that long and it is shorter. I don't get it.

Well anyway my shoulders are really sore which is weird because they never get sore but Insanity made them sore. Oh well I actually like getting DOMS (to a point anyway:confused:)

Have a great day
chrissy

Anyone going on the RT next weekend. I will be there. I can't wait

Hi Ladies: Today was the 2nd time I did Cardio Plyo...and it was so tough, but I did feel better than the first time I did it. I'm not sure if any of you are aware, but this am i accidentally put in Max Cardio and when it came on it said 59 minutes!!! OMG am I dreading these DVDs....have a good night
Elena

Hey Ladies,

Kariev - I'm right there with you re Insanity is certainly pushing me beyond my comfort zone and I've been needing something like this for a while.

Brenda - Love, Love, Love Pure Cardio. Funny how something I was so scared of turned out to be my favorite workout. Just goes to show how important it is to challenge yourself and to try new things.

Elena - I'm hoping this month will get me conditioned enough for the longer workouts next month. I know we can all do it :D

Chrissy - I would love to attend the Road Trip and meet you all in person. Maybe next year!!

Have a great evening everyone :)

Hi Everyone,
Even though I do my workout in the am, i don't seem to get around here until just before midnite:rolleyes:
My 5 year wanted to join me today for Pure Cardio. I didn't think he would last, but that little guy did the whole thing. Woo-Hoo!!!
I am loving these INSANITY workouts! I love how they push me!
Trying to figure out which day would be best for adding the upper body workout from the deluxe package???
