Happy Saturday Warriors!
I have emerged from my mountain of work and get to have 9 days out of the office in a row! woohoo! I had to forego starting meso 3 until today because of the extra long hours at work to get enough done to take the whole break, but I will start it later today. Slept in a whole hour and half longer than usual (even when I want to sleep in my body just wont) and got up and played tennis.
Looks like everyone is doing well and keeping up with their workouts. Very impressive
Okay, here is my thoughts on the GWF, I will try not to ramble on too much I have had mine since April and it has been one of my best purchases for my health. I had alot of weight to lose and needed to see exactly what was going on with my body so I could solve the issue once and for all. I learned that I burn way more calories then I thought during the day and especially on days that I do one or two workouts, simply I was not eating enough for my body to let go of the weight. The daily steps goals, calories burned and activity time goals become quite obsessive to reach everyday and seeing the charts and graphs, at least for a geek like me, do help motivate. Perhaps the most interesting thing has been being able to track my sleep. My sleep efficiency was terrible, the time lying down compared to actually sleeping and how many times I wake up during the night was quite eye opening. I am definitely better now that I have been able to see my sleep trends and start to figure out what hours are best for me to be in bed by and when I naturally want to be up in the morning. I also know figuring out the sleep issue has helped with the weight loss and my mental health. What I do know is that I am now 60lbs lighter and getting closer to being done with the weight everyday and the GWF was a big part of helping get here.
As for using it for maintenance, it really depends on what the knowledge will do for you. If goals and targets are your thing, then the device will be invaluable to keeping you on track with whatever you are trying to achieve healthwise. It can also be used in muscle gaining mode where it helps set goals and track your daily expenditures to make sure you have enough extra calories, but not extreme. Honestly, I dont know if I will be wearing it all day, everyday like I do now once I finish getting to where I want to be weight wise, but I will definitely continue to use it for different workout goals, like a round of STS & Shock Cardio, and for weeks at time to check in with how my body is still doing. Knowing whats going on has become a habit of everyday now, so we will see what I end up doing long term.
I dont know if my experience helps or not with your decision Janis, it really is an individual thing. If you are pretty in tune with your body and know what works and what doesnt for you, then maybe it wont really make much of a difference. If you dont really feel confident in your knowledge or perhaps you are just really curious, then its great to help learn. Anyway, enough rambling....
Off to figure out what to do with my Saturday afternoon before working out again tonight.
Talk to you later. Enjoy your Saturday.
