Good Morning Warriors :)

I am going to take a few days for just cardio, abs and stretching before going into meso 3. This morning I did 4DS LIS cardio and Muscle Endurance Abs and stretch. Will do something else tonight and then a segment of stretch max, but havent decided what yet.

This week is crazy at work, but if I get everything done that I need to get done, I will attempt to take all of thanksgiving week off, which would be an unheard of 9 days off in a row if you include the weekends. Lets hope I can pull it off. ;)

Looking forward to seeing what everyone is up to this week, even on your rest week.

Hope everyone is well. I will check back later tonight.

Happy Monday!

Good Morning Everyone!

I decided to really ramp up the cardio this morning and do CC8 (54 minute run) but I couldn't get my nano to work properly so I ended up doing CC4 which was only 45 minutes. So then I decided to do a 20 minute HIIT circuit. Wow after going all out running it was pretty insane. I had to back off on some of my exercises as I thought I was going to die but I did the 8 cycles for each. Then I did Cathe's Stretch no equipment because I knew that I was going to be sore. My shoulder/neck is still bothering me but not as bad so hopefully I will just keep improving. I'll have to do another stretch tonight!
Tomorrows plan is to do IMAX3.

MJ - I hope you can get the 9 days off. That would be so nice for you. I haven't tried Muscle Endurance Abs yet. I'll put that on my list for tomorrow!

Cheers everyone
Heather

Yesterday morning I did Step Jam and then in the afternoon I did about 40 minutes of yoga type stretching.

This morning I did Step Fit. The boys and I are in Kalamazoo at my parents. My Mom went with us to the Air Zoo this afternoon and we'll head home late tomorrow morning. As long as the weather is reasonable when I wake up in the morning I'm going to walk. They live in a manufactured home park, so I can walk a few laps.

BTW I did decide I had to have some rules about my envelopes. Yesterday morning I first picked Step Blast which I had done last Sunday - before I started using the envelope. Then I picked a Hardcore Extreme, but I'd just done IMAX 3, so I picked a third time.

MJ good luck getting your 9 days!

Happy Monday All!

Hope the week has started out well for everyone!

I didn't find the motivation to do Disc 8 (back & triceps) on Saturday, but it came on Sunday. I did both Disc 8 + HIS cardio only. Then today I did Disc 10--chest, shoulders & biceps + LIS cardio only. About halfway through Disc 10, I realized that I shouldn't be doing back to back upper body workouts! Oops! But amazingly, my upper body isn't hurting too bad. ;)

I'm excited that this is the last week of Meso 1. I have enjoyed it, but I favor Meso 2 more. Can't wait to start it soon!

MJ--hope you get those 9 days off. It'll be nice for you to have a reprieve from the work beast.

Heather--Hope your neck feels better. You have my anticipation up for the HiiT workouts. I've never done one, but I'm eager to get the upcoming Shock Cardio HiiT workouts. I'll have to start pumping up the cardio now to prepare!

Cathy--Enjoy Kalamazoo with your sons & parents!

See you all tomorrow,
Tara

Good Morning :)

This morning I did 4DS HIS cardio and repeated the end section with all the combos together a couple extra times to make it a little longer. Tonight I will either walk on the treadmill or go practice at the tennis wall. Depends on what time I get home from work.

Heather - Glad you neck is feeling better. Excellent job on the CC workouts. ME abs is pretty good, uses a medicine ball which I like.

Tara - Great job on meso 1, almost to the finish line. Meso 2 is a great change, I am sure you will like it.

Cathy - Impressive that you did your workouts at your parents. Hope you enjoyed your time away from home and get home safely.

Janis - Have you returned from your birthday journey yet?

Alright, off to work. Check back later.

Enjoy your day.

I didn't work out at my parents, I worked out before we came. ;) Their living room would barely be enough room for most step workouts, so I never bring anything other than my mat. I'm wimping out on the walking because it's 35 and windy outside. Though my youngest is now lobbying to stay so he can watch Looney Tunes on TV at 11:00. We don't have TV, but we have a Looney Tunes DVD set at home he could watch, apparently watching it on real TV is better. So, if we stay and it warms up some, I may go then. In the meantime, I'll probably do some yoga type stretching.

Good Afternoon Everyone

I just back from work and man was it cold outside. I don't often have to work outside this time of year but it looked alot warmer than it was! Anyways, I got up extra early to do IMAX3 and abs (I did do ME abs as I forgot the ball downstairs). I felt really good afterwards and it was not near as hard as I remembered it. The thing that bothers me about IMAX3 is the blasts with footwork...it takes me a little bit to catch on and then I've missed some of the blast. I will get better at know what to expect next though!

MJ - hope you get to practice at the tennis wall! I hadn't thought of doing the completed HIS multiple times at the end. I still haven't quite got that on nailed down for the footwork I'm impressed!

Cathy - What could beat Looney Tunes on the TV? Kids always want what they haven't got!

Tara - It's such a good feeling knowing that you finish Meso 1 - a feeling of accomplishment. I always felt like I was working so hard because of the cardio factor in M1.

Janis - Hope you had a great trip!

Talk to you all tomorrow
Heather

This morning I did Kick Max combos and then some planks and extra stretching.

Heather we ended up coming home and he watched the Looney Tunes we had. My Mom told him she'd have my Dad tape him some. I had told my husband not to feed the guinea pigs or fish in the morning, so we really needed to get home at a reasonable time. As it was the guinea pigs were pretty ticked off. ;)

Hey Warriors!

I got in late Monday night. Yesterday I managed to do Chest and Back, Disc whatever the hell I am on in Meso 3 (31?) and today I did week 3 of STS legs meso 2. Confusing, no?

I must have picked up a mild stomach virus of some sort on the plane or some where along the way. By late afternoon yesterday I was feeling queasy and cramping and all kinds of yucky. I seem to be better this afternoon - phew - it just would not be a good time to BE sick or get sick.

Our trip to San Diego was nice. Not hugely fantastically fun, but ok and nice in it's simplicity. My ds and I didn't really want to go, we just agreed to to keep my dh company on his business trip. We went to the Zoo (one of the best) and Sea World (sadly, not as good as it used to be) and twiddled our thumbs at the hotel. Ds and I walked around a lot, which was nice since we live in the country and don't do much city walking.

OK I need some input from fellow Warriors - one of my birthday gifts - unexpected and not requested - was a GoWear Fit. My dh had noticed me reading about it, doing a little research etc...when Sandra "Fiddle Fit" bought hers. He also gave me the Polar HRM I asked for, a RS300x sd, the one I wanted/asked for.

I am around my goal weight, I added a few pounds while rehabing my ankle and not running, but I think it will slip off once I am totally back to running and once I stop eating the semi-sweet chocolate chips in the pantry. What do my warrior friends think? Should I keep this handy dandy tool as a preventative to NOT gain weight and to get more lean, or should I return it?

Tomorrow I am going to do STS shoulders, biceps, tri's, I think it's disc 33. Later in the day, if all goes well and I am feeling 100%, I am going to do B&G. I need to get some cardio in some time this week too.

Let me know what you think about my - keep it or return it - dilemma!

(such a long post! I'm clearly making up for lost time!)

BTW, Cathy I still LOVE LOONEY TOONS! Lucky kids. :D

Good Evening Everyone!

I seem to be echoing Cathy today! I did KickMax this morning and worked hard. My youngest woke up a little earlier and it was a little distracting to have a watcher but I did not let it deter me!

Tomorrow I think I will just go for a run and then I'm baby sitting my Dn.

So Janis that is a tough issue... I have been pinning away for a GoWearfit and I am pretty impressed that your Dh actually picked up that you were interested. I have pretty much hit my Dh over head that this is what I would like it for Christmas. However the I am interested in loosing 15 pounds so I know what I am looking at it for. If I was at goal then it might be useful as a maintenance tool... Maybe talk to Fiddlefit. She does not seem far away from her goal. Helpful aren't I! The question is are you happy the way you are? Or do you want to get leaner? I would say that you will love the HRM.

So the semi-sweet chocolate chips call you from the pantry too eh? I think that they are my undoing!

Cathy - If you can believe it my kids have not actually seen Looney Tunes yet... I am a TV natzi. My oldest was pretty sensitive when younger and his TV shows were pretty limited. We just haven't got there yet.

MJ - How was your day?

Tara - How much rest are you going to take after Meso1? Are you done the last legs disc?

Cheers and see you tomorrow
Heather

This morning I did the weights part of AC Weights & Plates and then some yoga.

Heather there are lots of things my boys have no clue about as far as TV goes. We went and stayed with my sister and her boys in FL for a week a couple years ago and that's where they got exposed to the Looney Tunes and Tom & Jerry. We probably still wouldn't have watched them. But, they love them, especially the 8 year old. He entertained my Mother for quite awhile the other night with his routine of Bugs Bunny and Yosemite Sam, has the lines memorized and does a decent job at the voices, too.

Good Morning Warriors-

Quick post before I run out the door, will write more later tonight.

Did C&W cardio yesterday and did Body Fusion step combos this morning (never did these before, it was good for a less intense workout, feels a little like doing step in slow motion because the pace is so different from the advanced workouts). Will start meso 3 tonight.

Good job Cathy and Heather on Kickmax :)

Janis - Glad you enjoyed your trip. I have had my GWF since April and I absolutely love it. I will make sure to tell you some more details tonight to help with your decision.

Alright, Im running late to work....see you later, enjoy your day.

Well this morning I was doing Step Fit, but my right calf has been bothering me for awhile and today it was grabbing too much of my attention and causing me to mess up on the cues, so after 18 minutes I stopped and did yoga. At least I was well warmed up for it. Not sure what's up with the calf. Both of them had been bothering me a little, but the left one is fine. I thought is might be the old shoes I was wearing during the day, so I got some new New Balance casual shoes and that helped the left calf, but the right is being stubborn. Hopefully, a couple more days rest will take care of it.

BTW I really like one of the yoga books I got from the library. It's called "The Athlete's Pocket Guide to Yoga." It's a small book and it contains 50 different routines for flexibility, balance and focus. For each routine they show a picture of each pose, and list the names of the poses used, how many breaths to take for each pose and approximately how long it takes. It's broken down into sections and you can choose which poses you want to do for each area.

MJ I thought the same thing when I did the step portions of Body Fusion.

Janis I'd love to get to the San Diego zoo someday. Very glad your bug was short lived.

Hi Warriors!

Wow - where did the week go? I am getting ready to do Disc 33, shoulders, tricpes, biceps, which I was going to do yesterday, but ran for 35 minutes instead and later in the day did B&G.

I am already thinking about January, STS and Shock Cardio, how about you ladies? When are you thinking of re-starting, and will you do it in the same order, or like MJ, as the undulating rotation?

I am still suffering my keep it or send it back dilemma. The GWF seems like a good motivational device, but I still will need to log my food/calories regardless and it can't give me a jolt of electricity when I am in the pantry eyeing the chocolate (which gives me a headache anyway, so why am I stuffing it in my mouth?). The other con, is having to wear it on my arm 23.5 hours 7 days a week.

Honestly, I just need to keep moving and stop using food as recreation.

I need to re-read the posts I skimmed/missed while I was gone, is everyone doing yoga??? I must check out the book you recommended, Cathy, yoga can be so boring compared to the vigorous workouts we love, it would be good to have a reference so I can get the yoga routine done without the commitment of a long boring dvd.

Hey Everyone

I tried to post earlier this morning but my internet went down...if you can believe it I actually fixed it. My husband is a tech junkie and we have an airporter so that we can use our laptops anywhere in the house and occasionally it messes up. Anyways, this morning I did legs and Glutes to do something different than Butts and Guts and then I did another Bodyrock.TV workout. It was 10 exercises doing 60 reps each. It was good too but I am not sure that those workouts alone would help build muscle....not like STS anyways. Then I finally did ME abs with the stability ball. In Legs and Glutes she does a move where you are on your side with your knees bent and up on your elbow. Then you lift your hips off the ground and shoot your top leg out straight. One side of my body could not do this move to save it's life. Do you know the one? Anyways, I will have to practice.
Yesterday I got up early and ran with CC7 and then helped look after my neice while my sister had some very minor surgery. My arms were killing me as she would not let me put her down for 45 minutes and I had to be in constant motion and she finally went to sleep while walking... so I got an extra 80 min walking in the morning and then I took her out again in the baby bjorn strapped to my front for another 75min. Who needs Cathe's weighted vest when you can just carry a baby! I wonder what my cal burn would have been for the day!

Anyways, tomorrow I am going to do some fun step and a shorter run. I have been planning on doing yoga all week and it just never happened. MY Dh is away next week so I'll do it in the evening then!

Janis - glad to hear your getting your runs in, so nice for you! Good luck on the GWF situation

Cathy - hope your calf is feeling better! I can attest to the frustration of calf pain!

Tara - How are things going?

MJ - Hope all is well!
Sorry for the long post!

Heather

I'm printing out workout cards at the moment, can you believe it's almost noon my time and I haven't worked up a sweat!? There was an Honor Roll Assembly at the school this a.m., which threw off my entire schedule. I am getting dangerously close to blowing off today's workout. Double:eek::eek:

I just had to comment on the workout you did this morning. Legs&Glutes AND Butts&Guts AND additional ABs AND bodyrock.tv. That's over two hours of working out! What did you have for breakfast! :D

So, the body weight exercises, from say Bodyrock.tv, are good for maintaining muscle and are good interim workouts to augment lifting weights?

Maybe I should work out a deal with your DH about my GWF...it also came with myotape and digital calipers. :) What is the price difference USD to Canadian? Would it be a better deal for you/him?

Janis I'm planning to start up with a total STS rotation again on January 3 using STS Strength, Shock Cardio and Ab Circuits doing an undulating rotation. I'm not sure if I'll use the cardios before I start the rotation or not. I'm thinking that all of them except the dancy cardio will be ones that I can just go ahead and do the moves on, so I may try and do the step one a couple times to get the moves down.

Did you get your workout in today? I'm really bad about doing something if I don't just get up and do it first thing.

Heather I know exactly which move you mean in L&G and it's a killer one. The second side always gets me no matter which side I start on.

Hey Again

Janis - I just wanted to clarify... I didn't do Butts and Guts...I was wanting to do something different. I did feel like I had gone a little over the top even without the B&G. I think that I was procrastinating. I have some really tedious boring work to do that I was supposed to get done today. I am going to have to get it done tonight though, if I have any hope of having a weekend!.

I think that the US versus Canadian is pretty close to par right now. It would probably not as good a deal for you though! As for the Bodyrock workouts... they are more endurance for sure and I am sure that they would maintain strength...
I hope that you got your workout in... Once I get past noon I usually can't get myself motivated. In the morning I can't talk myself out of it!

Cathy - Undulating STS sounds interesting! I know what you mean about the "Unknown Step Routines" were you are moving along and then have to stop and stare at the TV and say "How did she get over there" and then your heart rate drops... Whenever she says "Did you get that" i know that I am in trouble!.

Well I had better get to work and get something done!

Talk to you all soon
Heather

Good Morning Everyone

I went for run this morning, CC2, 37 min and then did the Step and a couple Hi/Lo from Step, Jump, Pump. It was a good mix... but I really felt like I should run longer!

Anyways, tomorrow is going to be a rest day for me which I think that I am in much need of. Hopefully I will do some yoga.

I am hoping that everyone is having a relaxing Sat. I had better get back to work!
Talk to you soon
Heather
