Let's Do Lunch Together :)

Hi Cathe,

Nothing too exciting for lunch here. Salad with grilled chicken. Just had some yummy greek yogurt. Although, now i'm craving Mint Chocolate Chip! Thanks ALOT guys!! ha!

p.s. read somewhere that you're a huge peanut butter fan (good thinking girl!) What's your favorite brand?

Have a great day :D

Jenn

step moves

Cathe,

I have to tell you that I LOVE step moves. The video is fun to do and I love the music escpeially the song at the end. Just when I'm getting tired in the 3rd combo that fun song comes on and goes all through the end and it gives me a 2n burst of energy- I just want to bounce. Love it! I just have a hard time doing something else on my cardio days. :D

Cathe you TOTALLY kicked my butt this morning with disc 29 plyo legs :p I was not dripping with sweat - it was pouring off me!

Pam

p.s. another mint chocolate chip fan here!

Mmmm, your lunch sounds delish, Cathe. I'm having tuna in a pita pocket and an apple.

How was your silver sneakers class this morning?

I broke out CTX All Step last night. I was a sweaty mess when I was done...:D!! It's been awhile since I've done that one but it has a special place in my heart since it is the first "Cathe" workout I owned/mastered. And it took a while to master it, let me tell ya!! I did eventually upgrade to the CTX DVD, but I just can't seem to part with my VHS copy of All Step!!!

Enjoy your day!!

Hey Cathe,

I currently do Push/Pull or SuperSets on Monday, Drill Max cardio premix on Tue, LowMax Thur & Butts & Guts Premix on Friday, is this a good rotation in your opinion? Thank you in advance for your time. You are amazing! :D

Welcome back CoralTurtle! Yes, we have made lots of fun and exciting changes and additions to the website and our company in general.

I think its wonderful that you are acknowledging the importance of a healthy and active lifestyle and determined to get back on track. I will be happy to help you. I miss working out with you :)

Feel free to mix in and enjoy the workouts you have along with these suggestions.

We just filmed shorter cardio workouts (Shock Cardio Series) and some are less impact than others so I will recommend the ones I think you will enjoy.

I think you will enjoy Step Moves, MMA Kickbox, MMA Boxing and Athletic Step. I also think you will enjoy one of my other tapes "Low Impact Circuit" along with these. You can continue with Pure Strength for your all weight workouts but if you want any of my other strength recommendations in the future I will be happy to give them to you.

I would try the following one month rotation to shock your body. Modify anything you need to and be sure to eat very clean and drink lots of water :) Good Luck!

Hi Cathe,

I own Low Max & Pure Strength Combo DVDs. I really love them, and have been out of the loop concerning all of your new productions. I kind of fell out of working out regularly after we moved, and gained 20 pounds.

It's very important to me to get this weight off. First, I'm terrified that I will gain more. I used to be 200 pounds, and lost 70lbs over the course of a year & a half about 4 years ago, and I had successfully kept it off until we moved last year. Secondly, I turn 40 at the end of June.

I don't want to start my 40's overweight & out of shape. I can feel myself having less energy & feeling just, blah. I don't want to end up like that.

I went to your website a couple of months ago, and then "liked" your page on Facebook, so that's how I learned of your lunch. I was overwhelmed by the amount of progress that has been done on your website & DVDs. I don't know where to start.

I still like the DVDs I already own, but thought of getting something new, but I just don't know what to get. I have always loved and excelled at weight training, but I really don't love cardio, & that's putting it politely. I will do it, but I don't excel at it. In fact, even when I was at my fittest, and lightest, it was a challenge to finish all the combos in the Low Max. Sometimes, I couldn't finish. So, cardio-wise, I'm not that great. This is the same person who, within 6 weeks can really stack on the weight while I do squats, lunges, deadlifts, you name it.

Anyway, sorry this is so long. Any suggestions on where to start? How often, etc.?

Oh, and BTW, your DVDs are the only ones I can tolerate. They are just far more challenging & well choreographed, & your personality is great.

Thanks for your time!

Too funny Bobbi, that was my breakfast too (but I had natural Peanut Butter) fit minds think alike :D

Have a great workout!

Thanks Cathe!

I'm loving all the oatmeal + nut butter love in this thread; it's my favorite breakfast - tasty and it keeps me full until lunchtime. I often use peanut butter but lately switched it up with almond butter (yes, that is how exciting my life is!)

I'm so impressed by all the morning exercisers, you all rock! Working out in the evenings is what has always worked for me, I'm NOT a morning person.

Have a great afternoon everyone!

Hey Cathe

Love your workouts I am trying to do this months rotation but for some reason I am having a hard time getting motivated to do any of the wt. work. I doing alot of walking in the evening when I get off work but just can't get into wts. any suggestions or help would be appreciated. I am having a PB sandwhich for lunch and grape tomatoes.

I can't thank you enough Cathe, for your gracious & thorough reply. I will do what you suggested & report back! Thanks a million for taking the time out of your busy day to help a stranger!

Oh, & since this is a lunch thread, I'm having turkey breast, veggies & a small half of sweet potato. I LOVE sweet potatoes! :)

Thank You So Much Jay! Everyone's body will respond differently to exercise, however, generally speaking, most who want to decrease size should focus more on endurance leg work and throw in a heavy weight workout one time per week (again, this does not always apply to everyone)

Here is my suggestion: In adition to eating a very clean diet and drinking lot's of water daily...

WEEK ONE

Mon: Leaner Legs DVD
Tues: Walk/Run 3 miles (or 40 minutes)
Wed: Butts and Gut's
Thurs: Walk/Run 3 miles (or 40 minutes)
Fri: 4DS Kickbox in its entirety (legs and abs included)
Sat: OFF
Sun: Musclemax

WEEK TWO

Mon: KPC (Kick Punch Crunch)
Tues: Step Jump and Pump
Wed: Interval treadmill walk run for 30 minutes
Thurs: Power Hour
Fri: OFF
Sat: Cardio Core Circuit
Sun: Leaner Legs

WEEK THREE

Mon: Muscle Endurance
Tues: Athletic Step
Wed: Indoor cycle class (lower resistance faster revolutions)
Thurs: Butt's and Guts
Fri: OFF
Sat: Body Max 2
Sun: Run for 40 minutes

WEEK FOUR

Mon: Muscle Endurance
Tues: Kick Max
Wed: OFF
Thurs: Muscle Max
Fri: Run 30 minutes followed by 200 walking lunges
Sat: Cardio Core Circuit
Sun: Leaner Legs

Hi Cathe!

Happy lunch.

You are the bees knees, love your videos, your wonderful choreography and queueing. Have been purchasing your videos and DVDs for years.

I was wondering if you had any hints and tips for someone specifically trying to decrease the size of her legs and hips. I am very much a pear shape, and would love some pointers (or even a specific rotation!) geared toward decreasing the size of my thighs, hips and butt area.

You rock. Thanks for what you do!

Jay

It's a date Jean! :p If one is close perhaps we can all do a fitness run to a local shop and burn it off before we even arrive there

Hi Cathe. Yes, yes, Yes what Jonezie said. While you are here in Texas you must try Blue Bell ice cream. My favorite is Home Made Vanilla. It is the best tasting ice cream I have ever eaten.

Jean

Thank you for your sincere words Nan. I'm enjoying joining you here regularly too. Great suggestions for Zazzle. We are making additions everyday. We have shirts with the slogans on them and I will tell them to add it to the mugs as well (if they haven't already). I think the cup with terminology on it is a fun one too. Thanks for suggesting it :D Have a great day!

Hi Cathe!! Hope I didn't miss you. I'm on 1st break at work. Haven't made it lunch yet :)

I am currently doing the all STS rotation and have MMA fusion (love it!) and the cardion only from Circuit Blast on tap for tonight. Let me tell you, the cardio only mix is tougher than the whole workout together. No breaks!

I am also enjoying you be on the forums more lately, I think alot of us missed in.

In hopes that you are reading this, I'm going to toss out a Zazzle suggestion, too. I'd like to see a mug w/ famous Cathe quotes on it "work, work" "what you do to one side, you do to the other" "take a break not a vacation" "was that a sheep" "shakin' like a chihauhau"
Or one with workout terminology on it. "3 knee repeater" "around the world" "pop pop duck"

Ok, gotta work now! Happy Day!!!

Nan

As long as you get it in there Wendy, it's all good :D

Hi Cathe.

I have oatmeal w/natural p/b for breakfast almost every morning! YUM! I have a salad and a piece of left over chicken sausage for lunch today. Slept thru my work out again this morning. Second time this week! Hoping to get it done after dinner again though!

Enjoy your afternoon! :)

How cool Heather. Love the sound of your salad. My mouth is watering :p

We're having a salad potluck at the office today. I brought in an apple cranberry wheat berry salad to share. Looking forward to seeing the other options.

Thank you for kicking my booty into gear with Step Blast this morning. One of my all time faves!

Happy Thursday to you.

Good Luck Dela. You can do anything for 40 minutes ;)

Hi Cathe! Happy lunching :)

I'm off to go try Athletic Step for the first time, I have not been a Step fan in the past, but maybe I can do this one since the moves are more basic and less dancey, I figured I have it, might as well try it!

Wish me luck ;)

Hi Jenn! I'm not too picky on Peanut Butter brands. I also try to do the naturals and the organics but sometimes good ole Skippy chunky style tastes great too. :p
