legs and knee injury

I recently hurt one of my knees doing something stupid and won't be able to do squats or lunges for a few weeks. My question is since i won't be lifting i decided to do a Firm Vol.1 floorwork for legs and am wondering if anyone has seen any kind of results from the firm floorwork. I also plan to walk alot the next 2 weeks for cardio since it doesn' seem to bother my knee. Just wondering about results. donam

I get great results from floor work. In fact, I tend to do more floor work because too much squats, lunges aggrevates my knees. I usually do two 2 floor workouts to 1 standing per week.

The floor work on Vol 1, IMO is one of the best you will ever find. Also, if you like floor work, Karen Voight Great Weighted Workout has a killer floor work section. Firm Vol 5 has good floor work too. I don't know if it is in print anymore.

Floor work is great to target the inner thighs and hips. You can also get the quads depending on the angle you do leg lifts. You can always add ankle weights or add a light hand weight to leg lifts to increase the intensity.

bebop!

First, I agree about Firm Vol 1's floor work. Good stuff.

THANKS for the other 2 suggestions. I'll try them too. I already have Karen Voight's tape, but hadn't viewed it. I suspected it did mostly standing. thanks again.

Firm Vol 1

You will be pleasantly surprised with the results from Vol1 floorwork! You will also feel pain in strange places at first because Susan works the legs thoroughly!I love the kick outs--you'll definietly feel the burn!Another tough floor work(but way out dated) is the original Buns of Steel with Greg Smithey! Very corny outfits but this guy works the legs and buns to fatigue--atleast you can laugh and cry at the same time doing this! Also, if you have access to a bike maybe you can sqeeze in 10 mins for a warmup keeping your knees parallel and no resistance and then hop back on for a 5 min cool down--just a thought! I hope your knee heels soon--that can be a bummer--atleast you can still work your upperbody and do floor toning--your still in action!Your friend in fitness~~Francine
