Lebert equalizer?

Hi,

I read about these a while ago in a fitness mag. and was wondering if anyone has these. The pair is only $100 and they are throwing in a dvd with it now, I'm considering buying these, I wanted the tower, but I'm not sure of the release date or price, so these might be a decent alternative, and have additional uses.

Well, I bought them, you know, staying home is proving to be way more expensive than going out.

Same here. I just ordered coffee and sugar from "Dean's Bean's," an Xmas present for DH, hinges for my new barn doors and a pair of pajamas. Money talks, and around here often just says "goodbye!"

What economic crisis? :p :D

LOL! you have that conversation too! It's completely one sided in my house! I think we could start a "Spend-a-holic" thread that more than a few of us could have to face the music and admit "My name is Dani, and I am a shop-a-holic!" LOL!

Dela, please be sure to let us know how you like these. I was wondering where in the world I was going to put the Cathe Tower in my little workout room but these seem like you could nest them and move them out of the way pretty easy... and as you said, have more than a few uses!

I just started the spend a holics thread, after posting this, and I think we need it!! :eek: I can't wait to hear of other peoples impulses!

Lebert Equalizer

Hi there,

I purchased a set of Equalizer's about 6 months ago and I love them!! I work out at home so I needed something that was versatile and compact but at the same time challenging. Honestly, I never thought that I could get a great workout just using bodyweight exercises but you will be surprised just how challenging it really is. I just checked the website, www.lebertequalizer.com and they have a bunch of the exercises on you tube - something to check out.


My sister just purchased a set as well and she loves them!!
 
Ok, so I put them together, and they seem to be a little wobbly, I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but it doesn't have instructions.

I'm going to email them and see what they say.
 
OMG, how wicked of you!!!! This is torture, I want these soooo bad. I have been on quite the kettlebell spending spree and I did not need this temptation. I went to the website and love em' but must say that the advertisement on the left side (I think) of that Kardashian twit promoting them detracts (ever so slightly) from it. Must have, must have, must have!

Booboo39 I totally agree!!! Dela is truly a HUGE temptress on the spending habits of others!!! She literally MADE me spend TONS last week to keep up with her spending spree and I purchased 3 more Cathe DVD's, a new Original HC Step, incline risers and a few days before, a foam roller, 20# DB, Cathe vest and ankle/wrist weights! Sheesh! :rolleyes:;);););):rolleyes:

Oh wow, this is quite the impressive purchase! My husband just kept shaking his head at the equilizer, I didn't mention the new dvds or the book I bought.

But gotta say, i'm not in love right now with the equilizer, I need to figure out if they just take some getting used to, or if I need to adjust how I put them together, but they just don't seem nearly as stable as when I see them in the pictures on the site.
 
Well another update, so I've been tinkering with them, I think I'm seeing some improvement, I'm hoping they answer my email to find out if a little wobble is actually ok, because once i apply body weight it seems pretty steady.

I think it will be good enough to act as a pull up replacement for STS, and I'm finding it has some really good tricep exercises.

Now I have to great creative and find places to work this in to my workouts. :cool:

I bought the Lebert Equalizer a while ago and LOVE it!!! My fave exercise is the pull-up (while lying on your back). It's great too for tons of other exercises.
 
I couldn't resist!
Love my Equalizer.
The pull-ups with feet on one bar and pulling up on the other bar are very challenging! I also like tricep dips using it.

Has anyone else had problems with the DVD(s)?

The beginning/intermediate DVD that comes with it won't play on my DVD player (I get a 'cannot play this disc" message, and this on a maching that has never had problems with DVD-R) but it plays on my computer, and I ordered the advanced DVD as well, which doesn't play on either machine (it starts to play on my computer, then the program closes by itself. There is no obvious scratching or damage to the disc).:mad:
 
I know this is an old thread but I was wondering if anyone has experience using the Lebert Equalizer with STS. It's on sale for $89 now on the lebert equalizer website. I didn't see anything on the STS forum.
