Leanness Lifestyle

Hi

Has anyone had any success with the Leanness for Life programme?

Thinking of starting the above - looks good but unless people recommend, it's difficult to know whether it's worth trying!

TIA
Andrea

I have heard of people hving a lot of success with it. I follow BFL which is a simpler version which is why I haven't made the switch to LL. LL is a bit more strict and you probably get results a bit quicker.

Have applied to join their 'club' and now waiting to be accepted...filled in the application form on Tuesday but not heard anything yet.

Really hoping I'm accepted as I feel I need this 'push' to get where I want to be!

Hi Andrea (and anyone else who does LL),
I just signed up for LL as well this week! I got my acceptance email yesterday so I have spent a lot of time going through the site. I have to say I am dissapointed so far in the way they orientate newbies! The website and tools are very confusing. I am hoping once the book comes, that it will be more clear and make more sense. I even had my husband sit with it and try to figure out what the heck I should be doing (eating, exercising, logging meals etc..) He was frustrated as well and felt like they don't give you much direction.

I am not trying to be pessimistic, I am just bummed, because I don't feel like I know what I am doing. I did post a question and a nice gal answered me. She suggested I get up tomorrow (7AM) and take a class on the phone..long distance. Supposedly, this class will help to explain things. I'm not crazy aout paying for 60 minutes of long distance though.

Please let me know how you are feeling about this. I am tempted to email them that I quit, so I don't get charged $. I sure hope the book comes soon. Thats another thing...are you under the impression that they send us the book automatically, (how much is that?) or do we have to go to their store site to purchase?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts you or others may share! :)

Hi

I got my 'joining' email through on Saturday.

I was a little confused at first but I'm getting my head round everything (I think)!

There are a few questions I'd like explaining:
Frequency of workouts - only given a %.
Finding it hard to get all my food ratios right. Do they all have to be spot on (protein, fat, carbs, calories?

I've dropped 2lbs already so I'm on the right track!

I think they post the book out to you and from what I've read, it should arrive within a few weeks (although that may differ for me - being in the UK).

It all seems rather daunting at the start but stick with it and see how you go. Might even get to chat to each other on the forums, eh?

Good luck and thanks for the post,
Andrea

Hi Andrea,

Thanks for responding. It sounds like yo are off to a good start! Congrats to you. YOu seem to "get it" a lot better than I do! :)

I don't want to sound like a quitter, but I emailed them at the"[email protected]" address and told them not to bill my credit card. I think I will wait for the book to arrive and go from there. If the tools on the website seem like they will be a big help to me when I start following the program, I will go ahead and sign up for it again.

I am curious about your goals with this program..how much weight do you want to lose? I would like to lose @ 15 lbs. or so. I am really hoping this will be the right program to motivate me to complete my goal! Let me know how you are doing. Again, congrats on "getting it" and losing two lbs! That is awesome!

Hi Becca

Sorry to hear you've 'quit' - although the only thing I've found really useful on the site is their nutrition analyser which allows you balance your meals (40% carbs, 40% protein & 20% fat - 1100ish cals) - easier said than done!

I enquired about the 'book' situation and David said you had to buy the book in addition to anything else - I was under the impression from the 'blurb' on the site that you got sent the book, newsletter & vitamins as part of joining - obviously I was wrong(!) so I've ordered the book from Amazon.com (so as to avoid any unwanted import taxes).

I'm hoping to lose a lot of body fat which, no matter how hard I exercise, doesn't seem to shift. I too want to lose around 14/21lbs and to gain a lean physique. Lost 2.5lbs this week and I feel 'thinner' so I'm sticking with it for the time being. As the first 30 days are free anyway, there's nothing to lose but will see what I decide after the 30 days are up.

Have you looked at www.fitday.com? This seem to do the same type of thing but for FREE - worth checking out.

HI Andrea,

Thanks for responding. Thanks also for clearing up the book thing. I thought I would be automatically sent that as well! To me, that is just one more thing that is totally unclear about his online program. I was under the imression that the book got sent when you sign up! I feel like there is a lot of gray area and that makes me a bit suspicious. Especially when my DH pointed out that you can get $20 if you get someone to sign up for the program. I guess I will have to decide if I want to purchase the book from them. I wish I could get it at the library!

Feeling thinner must be the greatest feeling! I bet your even more motivated to keep going. Good for you. Thanks for the tip about fitday. I think I'll give that a try! Keep me posted on your progress!

Take care,
