KK's September Check In

Good morning,
Today was Christi Taylor's Stepsational and Totally Hot Step, about 50 minutes total between the 2. I also did a very short bike ride to visit my parents last evening. Golf class after work today.

Karen, HSC is a good one. Hope your class is going well. What is an example of your schedule each day?

Rhea, hope you are feeling okay? Check in when you can. How's the stomach?

Yeah, I really like HSC, as well. Ah, Christi Taylor -- I must get one of her DVD's. Hope the bike ride was good -- and what a pleasure to go and visit your parents.

Well, we are negotiating the next contract and so that is going okay. I'm so pleased that my editor likes this next idea -- I'll be able to write about a tribe of Indians I've never written about before -- and that is so exciting.

Let's see, today was a short cardio -- did one of the early Cathe cardios -- Step Works or something -- did the first 25 minutes or so and then a stretch -- always like those stretchs.

Right now because I have to finish my taxes ASAP, I'm spending all day working on them, and then on class in the evening and then all weekend long. The taxes are going pretty well, too -- hope to have them done by the end of next week. Gotta hurry and get them into our accountant.

Yes, I think I might drop Rhea an email, just to make sure all is well with her. Have a super evening and a great workout tomorrow.:7

This morning was Slim Series Mix It Up. Will do some grocery shopping after work. Golf class was good last night and I found my swing again.

Karen, what tribe will you be writing about? Sounds exciting and bet it will be for you. Hope you got the taxes done. Wonder if Janie ever received and did a Christi Cardio yet. Haven't heard from her in a while. Hope Rhea is okay.

Good morning!

I'm doing just fine. I'm ignoring the tummy stuff for now and am just trying to not worry about it. Eating right seems to help. (funny how that is....) I have a doc appointment with a new naturopath/md on the 22nd, so I'm holding out until then. I think it is probably food/yeast related.

You ladies are so cute for worrying....I promise I'll post more even if it has to be short.

No workouts for me...darn mid-back went out again. I think it doesn't like back-flys. I did P90 3/4 on both Monday and Wednesday. Weds night that left rhomboid spasmed while I slept. Well, it actually woke me up. I was using only 5lbs too. So I think those exercises will be skipped in the near future. I'm not even going to do cardio since those arm movements tend to make it contract. It is better today. Hopefully sitting at the desk won't cause it too much aggrevattion. :* I was really bummed that I couldn't workout, I had intended on doing the Core Cardio of the Master Series, but there is a lot of plank type work, so no go. Oh well, maybe by Sunday.

Sounds like some great workouts, Jeanette -- am glad that you got your swing back. :)

Rhea, gotta admit that I have some trouble with the weights on other workouts besides Cathe's. I'm never sure exactly why, either -- at first I thought I did better with Cathe because Cathe talks so much form -- it's why I tend to stick with her -- cause I just don't seem to injure myself as much when I do her workouts. Maybe that is the reason.

Sounds like you've got alot of stress going right now, huh, Rhea? Probably a stupid question to ask a lawyer,but am wondering if there's someone around you who is upsetting you. Just wondering.

Hope you both had a great weekend. Mine was good. Still have taxes to do, but it looks like I might be done in a day or two. Yea! On Saturday, I did Push/Pull, a workout I haven't done for a while, but it was good -- and then today was my day off.

So am posting to kinda look at the week ahead and try to figure out a rotation that includes cardio, strength, anaerobics, plyometrics and stretching.

Mon: IMAX1

Tues: Power Hour

Wed: Short cardio & stretch

Thurs: Bootcamp

Fri: IMAX3 -- 8 or 9 intervals

Sat: LIC -- probably a premix, I think

Sun: Off

Well, that's the plan. Did I mention that we finished negotiations on the next contract? It's a new 2 book contract and I'm quite happy about it -- I'm going to be able to write about the Iroquois, which I am really excited about.

Today was Slim Series Tear It Up (or most of anyway as it goes longer than 60 minutes). Had a nice weekend. Saturday I went to Reno and bought some golf clubs, spent time with DS. Yesterday, no bike ride as I went with DH woodcutting. Got a nice small load of mahogany. That stuff takes forever to cut and you don't get a lot of volume, but it burns really hot and long.

Karen, so glad for you that the negotiations are over for the new books. Will you be researching the Iroquois, or are you well acquainted with them? Hope you get those taxes behind you. I can't imagine having them hanging overhead. I'm always so glad when they are done in April.

Good morning!

Can you believe that it is October already? The leaves and the air are definately showing fall colors and smells. I don't think we will have an Indian summer this year. It was already snowing in Beiber when we called for an oil delivery. I'm sure it melted, but snow this early....wew, long winter ahead. Better start gathering my nuts. (LOL)

No workouts for me this weekend. Specifically wanted back to heal. Back is much better, maybe a little tight from no movement. I'm feeling a little anxious to get a workout in, that's a good sign. I think I'll do Christi's Totally Hot Cardio at the noon hour. It is one of the shorter workouts and not a step one either. I think I need to get more yoga....okay, some yoga....okay I haven't been doing any type! More stretching is in order. I think I'm going to try going every other day with a yoga workout for the next month or so and see how it goes. Hopefully the guilt of not "working" out every day doesn't get to me as usual. Of course, when the new workouts gets here I will have a tough time not doing them each day.

What kind of clubs did you get Jeanette? I would really love a new driver since I keep using DH's. But I have a feeling that he will get a new driver and I'll inherit his....hmmm...that's how I got the last one....something's now right with this picture...LOL.

Karen - glad you are almost done with your taxes and that you are done with the negotiations. Hopefully you have a while to research before you are up on that deadline. BTW, the stress at work is just always there....bosses who are hardly ever here and clients who are continually whinning lately. Oh well...that's life.
