KK's February Check-In

Good Evening!

Once again, I'm in a rush! Wow, did you see how many people are viewing the STS network?

Let's see. Today was the anaerobics section only of Boot Camp from 4DS. Tomorrow, I'll probably do Cathe's sculpting video tomorrow -- it's the right length and 30 minutes is about all I can devote to it right now.

How's everyone doing? How was your weekend?

Have a super day tomorrow!

Hi all,
I had a very nice weekend, got to start STS on Saturday, rode my bike with 2 other folks on Sunday, and finished cutting out the quilt fabric on Saturday night.

Today was my rest day, but will be doing Disk 2 of Meso 1 tomorrow. Think it works triceps and back. The production quality is top notch on these DVD's.

Karen, your days must be jam packed. Are you in front of a computer the rest of the time, or in a classroom?

Rhea, hope your cold is history now. Enjoy that CLX.

Janie, how's your flu? Gone now, I hope. Did you do disk 2 of STS yet?

Hope everyone is getting plenty of rest. I think the worry about the economy is a drain to our systems.

Good night.

Good mornin,

Jeanette, My flu is gone. YEAH! I think it might have bee a supplement I took. You sure have to be careful with that. You started STS! Isn't it great? Joey and I will be doing week 2 disk 4 today. LOVE IT.

Rhea, how ya doing? Are you feeling any better? I sure hope so.

KK, I know you are so busy. I feel for you. Glad you are making some time to do exercises.

Snowing right now as I speak. It will turn into rain today, (darn). Hopefully it will still be snowing after our workout so I can be in the hot tub while it's snowing.

Take care everyone and see yas around,

Janie

Good evening!

Super busy and long day at work today, so I must make myself not workout this evening. Feels like it would be pushing it a bit, but that's okay, it is what i planned. Feeling much better almost 100%, but not quite there. Darn nose is still acting up and at the most inconvenient times! Tomorrow is Push Circuit #2, totally weights, so that is good. Then Weds, I'll do the Burn Intervals and Ab Burn before my massage. Maybe that will get all the crude out of me at last.

Well, off to do chores. Have a great rest of the evening everyone!

Good Evening!

Today was Total Body Sculpt -- a perfect length for me right now. Had planned to do some cardio later, but the later never came.

Janie & Jeanette, you both have started the STS -- wow -- and the production quality is great, huh? Wonderful.

Jeanette, I'm mostly in class -- I do some of my work from home, but it's almost entirely in class. I, too, am very worried about the economy -- I could go on and on, but I won't. Things are tough right now, I fear -- I'm afraid it's going to be quite a ride in the future. I hope not. I pray not. But from my listening to others reading from the Bill up before Congress... Some of the things make my hair stand on end. I love the quilt idea, by the way.

Janie, am glad you are recovered. And love that you, too, have started STS. Is your DH doing them with you, also?

Rhea, you sound about as frazzled as I am -- perhaps more so. Think you're wise to make sure you're really over it.

Anyway, tomorrow, I plan a cardio of some kind. And then I'll start the 30 minutes of weight/cardio workouts -- doing 1/2 the workout at a time.

Have a super day tomorrow!

Hi girls,
Today was the 2nd disk of STS. It worked Back and Triceps. Great workout, with never a repeated set. You do 15 reps, then onto something else, using DB's, BB, chinups or pullups (I use my Bowflex with lat pulldowns) and band work. I thought I was going to be sore but so far am not. Today was a haircut and color after work. I'm letting my hair grow out a little bit, just getting it trimmed a little every 5 weeks. Tomorrow night is sewing night with Mom and my sister. We'll be starting my quilt.

Karen, you are probably spending as much time in class as at your apartment. Bet Georgie misses you during the day. The light at the end of the tunnel is a good one! Wish I could say the same about the economy. Scary for sure.

Janie, how was disk 4? I'll be doing disk 3 on Thursday. It will be nice because I'm off work that day and can take my time. I hear that the legs get really sore in that one. Yikes!!! How is your book coming?

Must run,

Good morning,

Will be doing a cardio today, but first have to go out into the 8 inches of snow (hubby will be driving) to shop for food. Oh, the Meez said I had a bug, that's why she was gone, but they activated her back. I think by playing their games is what does it. If you don't like it and it is just to much, please say something and I won't use it anymore.

Jeanette, Disk 4 was much like disk 1 except they were in different order, 5% more weight, a different way of using the rep, (1.5) some exercises were different, but not many. Sometimes subtle differences, but enough to make the workout unique form the first one.

KK, My Joey is doing them with me. Isn't that wonderful?

Rhea, if you still are not feeling well, then not working out for awhile is your best defense. Literally. Please take good care of yourself, and get better.

Will be back later,

Janie

Good evening!

Much better today. Had great energy all day and did my second push circuit workout today. Heavy weights for the shoulders and the legs. I doing nice and heavy weights. Tomorrow I'm going to try and get in the cardio before my massage in the a.m. I have the day off from work (well, I don't have to go in that is...have work here at home to work on...) Plus I'm going to try and get some more of the filing cleaned out.

Well, gotta run and get the dinner in the oven, or whatever, since I don't know what I'm going to eat yet.! lol Have a great rest of the evening.

Good Evening!

Please forgive my quick post -- I have to get to bed as quickly as possible and email just took me way too much time tonight.

Today was an older cardio from one of Cathe's cardio DVD's -- I forget the name. I'm literally running most of my personal time -- I run from chore to chore -- working pretty hard, actually.

Jeanette, it is very scary. At least you own your own home -- we owe on ours. Not a good time to have debt, that's for certain. Very scary. Hope it's not influencing you -- hope it won't influence us at all -- but then I'm probably dreaming.

Janie, love that you're back at it and I love the Meez -- this is very cute.

Rhea, glad that you're back in the saddle.

Again, please forgive the short post. I am thinking of you all.:D

Good Afternoon,

Did Disk 5 from the STS series. WOW! Good though.

Rhea, great workout. Glad to see your energy is back.

KK, You are a doll baby. Can't wait for you to get home where you belong.

Jeanette, disk 5 is something else. She has drop set in them. O boy! Good workout.

Take care everyone,

Janie

Good afternoon,
Yesterday's workout was a premix from KPC, followed by no-equipment abs from STS abs. Today was Disk 3, Legs, which I loved, loved, loved!!! It has so much variety in it, no repeated sets at all. The wall squats where you pick up the weights I couldn't do, nor did I try very hard as it puts my knees in a bad spot. I just went down horizontal to the ground and held there.

Janie, thanks for the heads up on the drop sets on Disk 5. I'm going to repeat each week over again so I won't get to it until week after next. I'm planning on a 6 month rotation. How is Joey liking it? I was sore today from Disk 2, which I did 2 days ago. Nice DOMS in my upper back. Glad you got your Meez back. I really enjoy seeing them each day.

Karen, you have so much energy!!! How much longer? You need a long vacation when you get done with your course.

Rhea, hope your massage was nice today. I'm enjoying my day off, furlough day tomorrow and another holiday on Monday. We're having fun sewing a quilt for me. Got 2 blocks done last night. I may need to look for a sewing machine if I really get into this.

See you all later,

Good evening!

I feel awesome today. Had a massage this morning. Masseuse (sp???) tole me that my lymph nodes were a bit swollen. No shock since I have been sick. So I did interval training with some good old fashioned high intensity cardio and then took a real hot ginger bath this afternoon. So hot that I look like a lobster when I got out. It was great! I'm a bit beat from all that, but feel pretty good.

(OH and no cold medications or allergy medications needed today! whoo hoo!)

KK, no need to apologize for short notes, we know and are hoping you get home soon.

Jeanette - did you have today off too?

Janie - glad to see your meez back. Good job on those STS, I'm looking forward to doing those weight workouts and adding some favorite cardios between them.

Well, better get to some chores. DH is coming home for a visit this weekend. The house should at least not look like a tornado hit!

Good Evening!

Georgie found another cat this morning and so his time out was longer than usual and I had to rush to get in 25 minutes of Cardio & Weights. I know he'll look for that cat tomorrow. That's great cause when I get home, I have other cats there, also.

Janie, so glad that you're really going on the new workouts. They sound wonderful.

Jeanette, sounds like these workouts are really testing you -- how is the music in the new workouts -- that always makes a difference to me.

Rhea, wow, you sound brand new and ready to go. Am going to try that ginger bath -- only trouble here is that the water has so much clorine and flouride in it -- sorry about the spelling on those -- am afraid that I might get a large dose of flouride and clorine along with the ginger. When I get home, we have a whole house filter, so it'll be a little better.

Have a super day tomorrow, everyone!

Hi Guys,

Just thought I would see what was up tonight.

KK, Georgie and another cat. Does that mean you now have two cats, or is it just a friend of Georgie's? How cute, either way.:D STS has been a god send for me. Just like CLX for Rhea. Seems I'm finely coming back to life.

Rhea, I only had a massage once in my life, and would love another one. Maybe one day.;) I'm going to have to try a ginger bath. Put some in tub, as hot as you can stand it, and stay in as long as you can? Is that how to do it? I love my favorite cardios in between the STS workouts too.:)

Jeanette, My experience with the STS legs was when I fell ill for 24 hr. But, what I did in that workout was a hole lot of modifying. Ball on the walls were very difficult, very. The next time will be legs in a couple of days, and I'm ready for them. Can't wait for the next leg segment! I'm doing STS in 3.5 months and after an active rest week will do the whole thing over again. I'm too curious to wait.

Got to get going, see you all tomorrow,

Janie

Good evening!

Did my Push Circuit #3 today which is basically chest and back with legs added. Going to have to use heavier weights next time, didn't reach failure in the 8 reps on a lot of the exercises. It is amazing how strong your back and legs really are.

Janie - I think you use a couple of teaspoons or tablespoons of ginger in a nice hot, hot bath. I never measure, just pour. In fact, I might have another hot bath tonight, it sounds sort of good. But I suppose I should probably eat first.

Well, Have a Happy Valentines Day everyone!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's day to you all. Don't you just love today?

Hope everyone had a great Valentines Day!!!

Did Burn it and Recharge, great workout. I'm a little sore today from all the great stretching. Today is a rest day, so I think I will be taking it.

Have a great rest of the weekend everyone!

Good Evening!

A quick check in as I have to get to bed as quickly as I can.

Had a good Valentine's Day -- what I can without my DH here with me. So glad, Rhea, that you're getting back into it -- and Janie, I love what STS is doing for you. Hi Jeanette!

Okay so for this week, it's going to be more of the same, even CTX is too long for me nowadays. I'll just get doing 30 minute workouts, splitting them up between two different days.

Just wanted to write in and say "hi." I'm off to get to bed as fast as I can.:D

Good Afternoon,

Did STS disk 7, shoulders, biceps and chest. WOW! I use to be able to do abs with this, but I now have to to abs on my cardio days. Too spent from the workout to do it any other way. They take a lot out of me.

KK, I can hear you rushing to get to bed. Hopefully these classes will be done soon.

Rhea, How was your much deserved rest day yesterday? Hope you had time to relax.

Jeanette, How ya doing?

Janie

Hi,
I had a nice 5 day stretch off from work. Did a few STS workouts during that time. Today was STS Disk #2, Back and Triceps. After that was a Tastefully Simple party and then a bike ride. My rest day will be tomorrow and the evening will be sewing night at my Mom's.

Janie, wow, you are on Disk 7 already? I'm repeating each week so I'm way behind you. I have Disk 3 to do again, then will be able to start disk 4. Are you noticing any changes yet? I like that these workouts don't repeat sets, lots of variation. I enjoyed the #3 Legs Disk, but I hear #6 is a toughie too. I couldn't pick up my weights while doing the wall squats so didn't even try. Just held the position against the wall. That was hard enough.

Karen, CTX is a good one for sure. I'm always so surprised by the intensity of them.

Rhea, glad you are enjoying CLX. By the way, I'm looking for a sewing machine. Do you have any recommendations? What is the store in Reno that you go to for sewing classes?

Good night,
