KK's August Check In

Good Evening!

Hi! Today was also 4DS Bootcamp for me, too, Jeanette. What a great workout. No workout for me tonight, however. Got home too late -- too much talking after class...if there is such a thing.;)

Oh, I remember what I wanted to say about high impact -- from a few days ago. I'm older than anyone else here, I think, and I have noticed that high impact (ensuring that it's an impact that at your own speed) is a key to growing older gracefully. That and anaerobics -- anaerobics in particular helps to kick up the ole HGH hormones in one's body naturally -- the one that keeps one looking young. So although I don't always like the higher impact or anaerobics, I think they are important for us folks that are getting a little up there in age.

Janie, don't worry about the mistakes on the manuscript -- we all make them -- just eyeball it as best you can and let people help you with the errors. Only after fifteen years in the business do I feel okay about sending in my manuscript without other eyes upon it first. And in truth I only do it when pushed -- like last manuscript, I was out of town and no one to send it to to eyeball it. In cases like that, read it aloud -- that's the only way I can catch the errors myself. And even then, I hesitate to do it all myself...

The main point is the creation of it and communicating. Probably the last is the most important thing...communicating. And by the way, I love that graphic.

Gosh, I'm going to have to work out something on this laundry thing. I sent the clothes out to be done with my scent-less detergent and they came back scented again. It's not their fault -- I had a hard time getting the scent out of them, too. Am going to have to try to find a non-toxic dry cleaners and see if they do laundry. We have them all over LA -- but I haven't seen any here. Gosh...

Hi Mandy & Tammy!

Well, have a good day, everyone and a super, super holiday weekend.:)

Evening everyone,

Jeanette, do have fun over the Labor Day weekend with your camping.

KK, Thank you for the manuscript advice. I sure needed it. I will read it out loud from now on.

My Joey is making an aerobic floor for us! He has already bought the plywood. I already have the 1/2 inch puzzle mats to be sandwiched in-between the plywood boards. We are looking at Pergo (fake wood flooring with a cushion under it) and bought a few samples. I hit them with things, dropped weights on them and they are holding up very well. The floor size is 12' X 10' in our family room. Our weights and where we do cardio and step up are in there too. Along with our family theater. This will be done just before the young doc gives me permission "maybe" to strech or do light yoga. Yooohooo!

Also bought a bokken (wooden sword) and a Ilaria Montagnani DVD "Forza" and on how to use that sword. This DVD looks really good and you should see Ilaria. She is buffed to the max. She also has Powerstrike which I'm watching on Ebay for a small amount of money tonite. I hope it stays at that price.

Things to look forward to. Or am I bored?

Joey and I didn't do anything with the book today, we went out to get flooring ideas. Tomorrow is a book writing day and more editing.

Have fun over the weekend everyone and stay safe.

Janie

Good Evening!

Hi!:p Today was 4DS Kickbox -- good workout and tonight was cardio only from 4DS-HIS. Still trying to learn that workout. Interesting how I put on a lb. when I didn't exercise. Goodness, how I dislike this weight mumbo-jumbo.

Gee, that floor sounds really great, Janie. I have tile floor right now with a rug that flies out if I'm real energetic -- I got a pad for it today -- but that pad has an odor. Oh, well...

What fun that floor will be when it's done. Well, it's full weekend days on course for me tomorrow -- 8 hr. days each one.

Have a good weekend, Janie and have fun on those edits.:D

Sorry it has been so long!

Hey everybody,
It has been so long since I have been able to post! School started, niece was christened, sister bought a house, then my son celebrated his sixth birthday. So I spent a good week cleaning the house and back yard getting everything celebration! Then Tropical Storm Fay decided to come to the party too so it was a rainy party, but he had a great time! I hope everything is going well.
I am fighting a stubborn sinus infection, I swear I always get one this time of the year, no matter how I try to prevent it!
As far as workouts, I have been running and trying to alternate between working upper and lower. I would love more definition in my arms.
College football starts today!! I am so excited, it is a way of life in the south!
Take care everybody, have a great Labor Day weekend. Talk to you soon!

Good Afternoon!

Hi! Just a quick post to figure out my rotation for next week. Don't worry about being able to post all the time, Mandy. We're just happy to hear from you when you do.

We were in Fay's line as well, but she kind of passed us by, thank goodness. I hear that there's another one brewing off the coast. Deep breath.

Hope you are all having a great holiday weekend.

Here's the plan for next week's rotation for me:

Mon: IMAX 1
Tues: Power Hour
Wed: Short cardio and Cathe Stretch
Thurs: Circuit Max
Fri: Cardio only from Drill Max
Sat: Body Fusion
Sun: Off

Yesterday was cardio only from 4DS -- Boot camp and last night was nothing -- was so tired, I didn't work out. Today was Basic Step -- I wanted an almost no workout -- but I still wanted to do something cause I'll be sitting on course all day.

Well, have a super rest of the weekend!:p

Good Mornin,

Mandy, It's nice hearing from you. Life truly can be very busy. Hope that sinus infection clears up for ya.

KK, Glad to hear the storm past you. What a relief! Your workout routine looks very good.

My daughter was here last night and we had a salad for dinner and a movie after that. She's such a great daughter.

Take care Rhea, and Jeanette,

Janie
