KK's August Check In

Good Evening!:)

Today's workout was a Sprint 8 outside, then a stretch and then a run with the dogs, as well. Getting in some good workouts walking the dogs -- more like running.

I did finish the revisions today -- first time through. They were heavy and so I may have missed some things -- so I have to go back through them -- but hopefully, the second time through will be a little easier. It should be.

Jeanette -- Love, love, love Bootcamp -- also love ME -- sounds interesting to do it all except the abs and then add on ME abs. Yeah, they get me every time, but I'm more used to ME -- MuscleMax really threw me for a loop -- found those abs hard. Hope your Cardio Coach goes well tonight, and is fun!

Janie -- What fun that your daughter from OK came by -- bet your day was just great! Actually, I have upped the intensity of my workouts, as it seemed to me that I was getting trapped in doing the same thing over and over -- Thanks so much for noticing. I slipped a little bit when I was on the rez, however, as I couldn't easily exercise indoors -- and though I was running outside, the weight work fell off somewhat. Plus, I got sick and a whole week went by without a workout. But all that considered, my fitness level has improved a little. Hope your writing goes well tomorrow.

Rhea -- No, I don't think you told us that your exercise was running home. What a great idea! That ballgame sounds really exciting, Rhea. What fun. I used to follow baseball many, many years ago, but it fell off quite a while back -- mostly due to not having a TV.

Well, gotta get ready for bed -- so many things to do before I can actually settle in for the night. Have a really super day tomorrow and have some fabulous workouts!:7

Good morning,
Today was Kickmax Low Impact Timesaver and stretch. Yesterday I did Cardio Coach Vol. 2 (Revised) on the bike after work. Good workout.

Hi Janie, hope you got to do some writing yesterday. I forgot, is your book on candles or soap? Yes, I got the newsletter finished and emailed off. Also, DH may texture around the hearth today, which means painting very soon for me!

Rhea, thanks for the tips on the clubs. I actually have 2 sets of ladies clubs sitting in my garage now. I practiced a little last night and they definitely feel better in my hands. We'll see how Friday goes.

Karen, good job on getting the revisions completed. You've been running with your dogs a lot. How far is a run? Bet they absolutely love going.

Jeanette

Good morning....

Just a quick post before court and then after that we are off to Reno for the Hot August Nights Swap meet and other shopping.

Did P90 sculpt 1/2 and Core Cardio Express yesterday. Today is a rest day. I think I need it. I went seven days in a row?

Karen - I bought some acidopholus pills yesterday and took my first dose last night. I probably shouldn't have started at the full dosage as my tummy is pretty big this morning and it growling like mad. I guess the little bacteria guys had plenty of things to attack!Oh well, I'll lower the dosage tonight and then slowly make my way up to the full dosage.

Gotta run, have a great day everyone!

Good Evening!:)

Let's see -- today was HSC -- 51 minute premix -- in the middle of which went for a run with the dogs -- then back to finish it up with the abs. We run the dogs in the morning just around the block -- cause either DH has to go to work or me, too, or I'm in the middle of a workout. At night, however, we go out for a walk/run for about an hour.

It's really quite nice because DH and I get to spend some quality time with each other -- and normally when he comes home he eats and then goes and does some work and same with me. So it's really quite nice. Figure we need to walk them twice a day because they were running wild on the rez and were used to running around alot.

I'm trying to teach them both to sit and not jump up on me every time I go out to see them...

Jeanette -- How long is the Kickmax Timesaver? It's the one workout (outside of the GS DVD's) that I don't have. Sounds like more work on the house -- we're doing some, as well -- but right now it mostly involves the dogs...

Rhea -- That's great on the acidodophlis -- should help to restore the good bacteria -- especially after antibiotics. Are you taking anything to make sure that you're also eliminating all the die off and such, as well? If you know what I mean... Apple fiber or some such fiber rich stuff like psyllium or something? Am sure your nutritionalist probably has you covered on this -- again, just curious. It's a tough diet, but it really does work. Haven't been bothered by candida since the diet actually -- and it's been several years now. So that's something to look forward to.

Janie -- how's that writing going?

Well, I took the day off of writing today -- didn't really mean to, but I did it anyway. Tomorrow, however, is another day. Gotta get down to it.

Have a super day, everyone and some really terrific workouts!

Good morning,
Thinking about the road trippers this morning, know they will all have such a good time.

Today was BM2 Cardio Timesaver plus abs. Will go hit some balls at the golf course after work. Have grandchildren coming to visit tonite so can't be gone too long.

Karen, the Kickmax Low Impact Timesaver is 48 minutes. Has a warmup, couple combos and then does the leg conditioning drills so it's not all cardio. The leg drills are tough for me as my hamstrings are very tight (I can't straighten my legs for most of the work). Nice workout yesterday with HSC. Nice way to break up the workout with walking/running the dogs. What a good way to spend nice time with your DH. My DH and I do a lot with our "girls" too.

Rhea, hope you had a good time at the swap meet. I've never been to Hot August Nights, know my DH would absolutely love it. Hope the stomach is better today.

Hi Janie!

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Jeanette

Mornin everyone,

Hubby and I moved furniture in my room after MM yesterday. The projector and screen (6 feet diagonal) will be in my bedroom in working order very soon. Hubby got a bigger one in the family room, and it now has the full wall. Enormous. When we watch anything, it's like going to a movie theater.

Today calls for cardio, so I plan on doing Cathe's Power Max. Then off to pick some black berries to freeze for smoothies.:p I'm hoping to do some yoga later on.

Karen, my book is doing fine, I'm still on it a lot, but instead of 8-14 hours a day, I work on it 4-8 hours a day. After all, (this is what I say to myself)I am retired. It will take a little longer, but then I still have my sanity.

You two are so good to your animals. You are doing it right! Have a wonderful day off from writing today. Are you doing anything interesting for today?

Jeanette, have fun with the grandchildren and golfing. Great workout by the way.

I'm also thinking of the road trippers. What a terrific weekend they will have.

Hi Rhea, how you doen?

Hello everyone!

Doing just great, been wanting some other things in my diet, but so far staying away from them. Karen - I've been munching on my protein/flax seed muffins every day and I'm making sure that I have plenty of fiberous veggies. Yesterday was a little slim on the veggies, but only because of the Swap meet and no good food for me to eat. So I ended up eating a lot of nuts actually. I did not want to partake in any of that fair food. BLech.

I might end up having another rest day today. I have a massage at 3:30 and am toying with the idea of doing my cardio after. It wouldn't be bad since it is just cardio (solid gold step is on the schedule) and I really don't know the routine well enough to go beyond the first four sections.

Janie - I love the sound of your "movie" room. I'm a big movie buff and think that certain movies have to be seen on a big screen to get the right effect.

Karen - how do you have the time to do all that for your doggies? I've been meaning to get them out, but just haven't. They do run and run in the yard though, so they get lots of exercise.

Jeanette - have fun at the golf course. It looks like you might be getting hooked a bit. :D I'm actually slowing down on the golf because I need to concentrate on the fitness goals first. Plus work keeps interfering with my life, darn it.

We might have to go back to the Swap meet tomorrow to pick up some parts, just don't know yet. Never did get to the Home Depot to pick up the lumber for some new dog houses. That has to be done very soon.
May just have to go over tomorrow for that.

Have a great weekend everyone.

I placed this same question on the OD, but wanted to make sure (if I may) to get your opinions. I was wondering what you might think about this exercise for the abs. It was stumbled upon by Larry Scott, a famous body builder. He is giving it free on the internet. It's very long, but worth it if it works.

1 - The Ring Of Fire

"The Secret To A Flat, Hard Midsection"

When I owned a health Club... each time a customer came in... we'd ask
them what part of their body they wanted to change most. Almost without
exception both men and women would say...

"My midsection is the one area that really bugs me. If you can help me
with my stomach, I can almost put up with the rest of my body."

If you feel the same way but haven't had much success with sit ups and
leg raises,.let me share a totally new concept in hardening and
flattening the midsection called the "Ring Of Fire It burns fat off all
around your waist
If you're anything like I was, when it came to midsection, you
definitely don't look forward to it. But that's all changed for me and it
will for you too.
When we first stumbled on this Ring Of Fire concept a martial artist
suggested the Tai Chi masters have long known about this phenomenon and
they contend the reason you feel a "special energy lift" when working
the midsection is because you are squeezing the liver, kidneys, spleen
and other vital organs. You're massaging and forcing the toxins out of
them. It's like emptying a vacuum cleaner. Once it gets full it doesn't
work as well and it spreads dust all over the house.

What Makes The Ring Of Fire Work So Well

Have you ever noticed how the debris on a mountain stream collects in
the eddies rather than the rapids. I think we collect extra calories in
the eddies of our bodies rather than where the muscles are doing all
the work.

How to Change Our Waist So It Won't Store Fat

First we have to look at the nature of the storage. When extra
calories first get sent to storage, I believe they settle under the skin, then
gradually invade the muscle fibers. Much like the marbling in a good
steak.

The Ring Of Fire reverses the whole process. After we get rid of the
marbling we then can work on the rolls of fat.

Here's How The Process Works

We first get rid of the fat that's taken residence in the muscle
fibers by depriving our body of refined carbohydrates (more on this another
time). The muscles have no choice but to look for body fat for food.
Then we use the Ring Of Fire which converts the midsection from eddies to
rapids.
Once you feel the muscle starting to get hard down under the fat you
know the magic has begun.. Now we just stick at it and watch the fat
disappear..

Now Let's talk about the Ring of Fire Itself

You have 9 muscle groups around the midsection. We are going to turn
all 9 into fat eating machines. Just so you'll know what I'm talking
about, pick an area on your body. Any area of your midsection, for
instance, and... flex it for all your worth. Is it still pretty soft?
You can see why you're carrying flab in that very area. You first must
send enough electrical stimulus to the muscle to make it hard to begin
the process of getting rid of the fat riding on top of these muscles.
Lets try again. This time... flex like you've never flexed before.
Squeeze those muscles to life. Mentally crank up the voltage in your
nervous system so it arcs from axon to axon into every single muscle fiber
you've got.
It's no longer just... you... pumping and pushing weights. It's a
combined effort between you, your nervous system and your muscle fibers.
Once you build a nervous system with enough voltage to trigger this
degree of flexing you'll change your whole midsection. front sides and back.

You... Can... Spot Reduce

I know... they tell us there's no such thing as spot reducing but...
believe me when you learn to flex your lower abdominals, sides, love
handles, lower back as hard as a rock. They'll need energy.and... where
do you think these muscles will look first.

You got it...

If carbohydrates aren't on the menu, They have no choice but to begin
eating all that fat smothering them day and night. This is the best way
to get rid of fat because it works 24 hours a day... even when you're
sleeping... constantly eating fat.

Listen carefully...

It's a matter of focusing enough mental energy through the nervous
system to get these muscles to respond.
When you concentrate on flexing the muscle and continue sending this
mental energy to the muscle, the repeated volleys of nervous impulses
begin to increase in voltage potential.
In other words when you "crank up the voltage" to one particular
muscle group and keep focusing (sending flex signals)... gradually that
muscle will flex to it's maximum.
You'll get better and better and while you're doing it you'll be
burning more and more fat. Because now you're getting more muscle fibers to
come to life. One day you'll achieve a Total Synapse as the muscle
flexes so hard it almost goes into a cramp.
When that happens you've arrived at the point where it becomes
relatively easy to maintain a lean hard, midsection in just a few minutes a
day.

"The Secret To Flexing All 9 Muscle Groups Around The Midsection"

You'll be doing these exercises standing up just leaning against a
wall. There are certain tricks that make it easier. Even the correct
placing of the feet helps.
I've found if you place most of your weight on the leg opposite of the
muscle you're flexing you'll have better luck. For example if you're
trying to flex your right side just over the ribs (intercostals), place
most of your weight on your left leg. Or if you're trying to flex the
left intercostals, place most of the weight on your right leg.
Your goal is to get the origin of the muscle and the insertion of the
muscle as close together as possible. This is best done by lifting the
hip as high as possible first before bending down over it.
I can only do so much with the written word but I'll do my best. It
helps if you see the exercises in action.

Here's The 9 Step Ring Of Fire
Lower Abs...
Lean against the wall with hands about about shoulder height. Both
feet flat on the ground about a foot apart. Using the lower abdominals,
pull the pelvis up, take a little breath, then lift it higher, take
another little breath, continue lifting and panting until you feel the
muscle going into a cramp. Stop, stretch out to get rid of the lactic acid
and move on to the next muscle...

Upper Rectus Abdominals...
Lean against a wall. Your head is facing forward, chin down. Feet
still about 1 foot apart equally balanced on the floor. Crunch down over
your abdominals, crunch down, take a little breath, crunch down again,
take a little breath. Continue until you feel the muscle going into
cramp.Stop, stretch out to get rid of the lactic acid and move on to the
next muscle...

Right Side Just over the Ribs (Intercostals)
Lean against a wall with your left hand about shoulder height, hold
the right arm bent at a 45 degree angle and in close to the trunk. Raise
up on the ball of your right foot. Turn your head to the right so it's
right over the intercostals. Lift your right hip as high as possible
and crunch down over it using a flex and pant method until the muscle
cramps. Stretch out to get rid of the lactic acid and move on to the next
muscle...

Just Over the Right Hip (Oblique)...
Keep both arms in the same position as above. Staying up on the ball
of your right foot, shift your attention to the right oblique. Again
lift the right hip, turn your head to the side right over the hip, crunch
down over it using the same flex and pant method until the oblique goes
into cramp. Then, stretch out to get rid of the lactic acid and move on
to the next muscle...

Right Love Handle Muscle (Quadratus)
Keep both arms in the same position as above. Shift your right leg
about 1 foot back staying up on the ball of the foot. Turn your head and
look over your right shoulder. Try to lift your right hip up into your
back just like you did with your right intercostal only this time you
are lifting the back of the hip. Crunch down over it using the same flex
and pant method until you feel it cramping. Then stop, stretch out to
get rid of the lactic acid and move on to the next muscle...

Left Love Handle Muscle (Quadratus)
Change your arm positions so the right hand is against the wall about
shoulder height and the left arm bent at a 45 degree angle and in close
to the trunk. Move your right leg forward again and shift the left leg
back about a foot, don't forget to raise up on the ball of the left
foot. Turn your head and look over your left shoulder. Try to lift your
left hip up into your back just like you did with your right hip. Crunch
down over it using the same flex and pant method until it starts to
cramp. Then, stop, stretch out to get rid of the lactic acid and move on
to the next muscle...

Just Over the Left Hip... Left Oblique...
Use the same arm position as above but move both legs forward but stay
up on the ball of your left foot, shift your attention to the left
oblique. Lift the left hip, turn your head to the side right over the hip,
crunch down over it using the same flex and pant method until the
muscle starts to cramp. Then stop, stretch out to get rid of the lactic acid
and move on to the next muscle...

Left Side Just over the Ribs (Intercostals)...
Turn your head so it's right over the intercostals. Lift your left hip
as high as possible and crunch down over it using the same 20 sec flex
and pant method. Stretch out to get rid of the lactic acid and move on
to the next muscle...

Upper Rectus Abdominals...
Your head is facing forward, chin down. Feet still about 1 foot apart
equally balanced on the floor. Crunch down over your abdominals, again
taking little short breaths until you feel the muscle starting to
cramp. Then, stretch out to get rid of the lactic acid and move on to the
next muscle...

Lower Abs...
Lift the pelvis as high as possible. Both feet flat on the ground.
Using the lower abdominals, pull the pelvis up take a little breath, then
lift it higher, take another little breath, continue lifting and
panting until you feel the muscle cramp. Stretch out to get rid of the lactic
acid...

Note: It's more difficult to get the knack on the lower abs However
as you get better at it, you'll be able to get your cramp in just a few
seconds. In fact you'll get to where you can slowly rotate the tension
all around your midsection from front to side to back to side and back
to the front again. Just like a Ring of Fire all around your
midsection.
I wish I had the words to express how effective this is... as well
as... how fantastic it makes you feel.
Once you learn to control these muscles. You can run through a ring of
fire first thing in the morning while in the shower or even while
you're driving to work. It's the greatest abdominal breakthrough I've even seen.

Your friend,
Larry Scott

Good Evening!:)

Wow, Janie, thanks so much for posting the info about the abs from Larry Scott. I think in theory it sounds good. Nothing like doing it to see if it works. I'm going to try. Don't see it would hurt. You're simply contracting the muscles, one group at a time. And I could definitely use some help on my midsection. Onward towards a tinier waistline...;)

What do you think about it?

Jeanette -- how were the grandchildren? Bet you had fun. And how was your golfing over the weekend? Yes, my DH and I are getting in some pretty good time with each other as we walk the dogs.

Rhea, we don't have a very big yard, certainly not enough of one for the dogs to get enough exercise running around in it -- so we have no choice but to make room for it. Lately we've been walking them for a short while (part of my exercise) in the morning and then after supper in the evening -- in the evening, it's often dark. We are going to bed later, however, I must admit.

And Janie, that's cool about your big screen TV -- wow, are my DH and I are so in the dark ages on that count. But we so seldom watch TV that it wouldn't be a good investment for us because of that. However, I do agree with Rhea that some movies should really be seen on the Big Screen -- so we miss out on that.

Rhea, how was your massage? Oh, we, too, are making a new dog house, but it's for our other, older dogs, actually. By we, I mean my DH and his brother...:+ Perhaps "we" isn't quite the right word.

Yeah, I've been thinking about the road trippers, too. Bet they're having a great time.

Janie, unless I'm under deadline, I don't usually write more than 5-6 hours a day. Writing kinda takes it out of me, and I get so exhausted if I do more. The only exception is, again, if I'm behind and I'm under deadline -- then the sky's the limit on time.

Well, this is a long post -- but I do need to look to my rotation for next week. So here it is:

Mon: IMAX 2

Tues: ME -- express workout as this is my day for our new Western Romance author's blog -- and it's my day on Tues.

Wed: CTX Step plus a stretch unless the skies are clear and then I might sprint outside -- also we are leaving on this day to go to the Crow reservation for their Crow Fair and so the rest of the workouts will be whatever I can squeeze in. This is if I can get a workout in.

Thurs: Will be on the road (we drive it straight) so no workout

Fri: Some circuit workout

Sat: Sprint outside

Sun: Off

Oh, so I'll be gone from Wednesday, the 15th until Wednesday the 22nd or Thurs the 23rd. If the Crow reservation is anything like the Blackfeet, I may be off email throughout that period. But you know I'll be itching to get back and to post and see how you all are doing.

So, have a super day and some terrific workouts. :7

Good morning,
Hope everyone had a good weekend. Saturday was MuscleMax Timesaver premix and then DH and I spent the day on the Rhino. Nice trip. Yesterday was a group bike ride and then worked on the painting around the hearth. Today was SJP/Step Blast step and weights premix. Tonite will be a very short spin on the bike trainer as I have a time trial tomorrow. Also finish taking down the masking off materials around the hearth, maybe a little touch up around the hearth too.

Karen, hope your enjoy your trip to the Crow reservation on Wedn. The golf was okay. I think I will enroll in the college class this fall to get some instruction. Visiting with the grandkids was fun yesterday.

Rhea, did you get back to Home Depot this weekend? I'm not hooked on the golf yet, but think I will take the college class to get some help with it before I start picking up bad habits. I went Friday night and hit some balls, but I wasn't really happy with how that went as none of them sailed thru the air. Most were low so I could use some help there. I hardly ever miss the ball now, so guess that's good. Yep, I'm pathetic.

Janie, the abs article is interesting. Will you be trying this out? Let us know how it goes.

Got to run,

Jeanette

Good Evening!:)

Well, finally finished the revisions and what a load has lifted off my shoulders. We've (me and about 10 other authors) have started a new Westner Romance Author's blog and tomorrow is my day to host it -- am planning on making my blogs on little known historical western facts -- starting tomorrow, we'll talk about the little horse that won the West. If you want to stop by the link is www.petticoatsandpistols.com.

Busy day today what with the revisions and the launch of our new blog -- and then we're trying to get ready to go to Montana early Wednesday morning. And so much to do to do that.

We may take the dogs with us -- only because I think they might want to be with us rather than stay at home without us being there.

It was IMAX2 for me today. Have been getting some stomach cramps when doing anaerobic -- do you or anyone else have any info on what this might be about? I've asked on Cathe's forum, but am just wondering.

Anyway, Jeanette, I was almost thinking of doing some SJP work this week, but decided against it only cause it's such a short week for me. Am glad that your bike ride was fun, and that you got so much done at home.

Hi Rhea and Janie!

Have a really super day and some great workouts!:7

Good morning,
Today was Cardio Fusion mixed cardio premix and then the abs from LIC. Tonite is our bike time trial. Last night I pretty much finished up the hearth. DH and DS will be moving the woodstove into the house. The stove is around 500# so hopefully they will use a dolly and good ingenuity instead of just their backs. You know how men can be.

Karen, have no idea on the stomach cramps. Sometimes I will get a little nausea but it doesn't last for long. Hope you get an answer. I'll have to check out your thread and see if you've gotten some advice. I'm sure your dogs will want to go with you, ours LOVE to go with us everywhere.

Hi Rhea and Janie, hope you had a great Monday (if there is such a thing).

Jeanette

Good morning!

Pretty good Monday. I actually had not much to do in the afternoon, so I left. I did P90 1/2 and then Turbo Jam Fat Blaster. Today I should be doing Cardio Collectibles I think. I really like that one and it is a good calorie burner for me. My work has slacked off, which is just awesome. I did have a trial at the end of the month, but it is going to be dismissed.

I sure hope the men are smart and don't use their backs Jeanette!

Karen - how soon after eating or drinking do you do anaerobics? I get cramps if I either drink too much water (more nausea thought) when working out or after eating. However, are you holding your breath? I've recieved those stich in the sides when I forget to breath properly. Not enough o2. I know that sounds a bit silly, but sometimes I catch myself holding my breath in a complicated movement.

oops, gotta run....court.....talk later....

Jeanette, Sounds like you had an awesome weekend. When my DH and myself ride bikes, it's just for several miles. I bet the hearth looks fabulous! I love SJP. I am trying out the "The Ring of Fire", but I'm not leaving out my original ab works until I see a difference. Hope it works, I'll let you know.

Rhea, I rented the Cardio Collectibles fron netflix. Hope it works well for me also. I don't eat anything for 2 1/2 hours before I do any workouts, or I get sick.

Karen, congratulations on finishing the revisions. Have fun hosting the WRAB. They sound very interesting. Looking forward to peaking in on it. Also have fun in Montana, do fun things. Like I said to Rhea I wait a certain amount of time before an exercise, I don't know why we experience those symptoms I only know how to prevent it.

Take care everyone and enjoy your routines.

Janie

Good Evening!:)

Well, the Western Romance Author's Blog was fun. But I'm glad I only have to do it twice a month. : )

Let's see -- it was ME express workout for me today -- always a workout that I love.

Got those revisions off to my editor today and boy, did a weight lift off my shoulders. Now I have to get in a synopsis for the next book or series. But there's time...which is always nice.

Jeanette -- You know I haven't done Cardio Fusion but a few times -- great workout/workouts, however. How did the Time Trail go? Did you beat any of your times?

Oh, yes, I know how men can be...you really made me smile. Hope they use a dolly, as well.;)

We've decided to take the dogs for several reasons -- one is that we think they're enjoy it. Another is that one of our other dogs is 16 years old and is sick and we think it will just mean less for my brother-in-law to do in our absense. They really were hardly any trouble bringing them back with us from Montana.

Rhea -- Your workouts sound great. Thanks for your thoughts on the stomach cramps, as well. I do drink a lot of water, both before and during, so maybe that might be a reason why. And breathing could be it, as well -- as it's during anaerobic exercise and I may not be breathing well. Yeah, it does leave me feeling nauseous afterwards -- although usually, too, I have to go to the bathroom...

But because I work out first thing in the morning, I don't eat anything before I workout. I'll try the water and particularly the breathing. Thanks.

Janie -- I think I'd like to try doing the ring of fire, as well -- without dropping out doing regular abs, as well. It sounds good and heavens knows, it would be nice to have a tighter, slimmer middle.

Well, I might not be able to post very often while I'm in Montana -- I will bring my laptop, but last time it was almost impossible to log onto the internet. Have a wonderful day tomorrow and a terrific week ahead! Can't wait to get back and see how you're all doing.
:7

Good morning,
Today was LowMax Step Combos only premix and then the 7 blasts premix for a total of 61 minutes. Great workout! Bike time trial went well last night. It was windy and my goal was to not let my heart rate get too high and then finish weakly. No record time, but I felt good and finished strong.

DH moved in the stove by himself as DS was sick and didn't show up. He moved it with ingenuity (have to when it weighs over 500#). It looks nice on the newly tiled hearth. When I return from my cycling trip in Oregon, I'll finish purchasing the new stove pipe and adapter and this project will be really finished.

Karen, glad you are getting to take the dogs along. They'll love it for sure. Hope you have a great time in Montana. We'll miss you.

Janie, hope you enjoy Cardio Collectibles as much as Rhea and I do. I love Christi and got on a long kick with her workouts recently. However, I should have mixed in some Cathe workouts too as I did lose some cardio capacity as they are not as high as Cathe's. However, they are really fun for me.

Rhea, so glad things have eased up for you at work. How is the dog house building project going? Enjoy Cardio Collectibles also!

Will check back with you all on Tuesday morning. I'm off to Hood River, Oregon until Monday.

Jeanette

Good morning!

Yep, wore myself out on Cardio Collectibles. My HR is always way up there with Christi, at least right now it is. Probably because I really haven't done much "true" cardio for a while. The circuits just don't get my HR up long enough. But Christi sure does. Lately, I'm dropping out the arms at the end. CC is such a long workout, I was pooped at the end and my calves are a little tight today. But it is a fun workout. Today will be a move up to P90 3/4 and then a cardio add-on. I think I'll add at least the 20 min TJ and maybe TJ abs or some sort of abs.

Karen - have fun. I caught myself holding my breath a bit during some of the moves yesterday. It is something that I do so easily when I'm trying to concentrate on the moves or whatever. I think it wears you out too.

Janie - I hope you like the CC. She has tough choreography, but once you get it, it flows very nicely.

Jeanette - have fun in Oregon.

Boy it is going to be quiet around here until next week.

Mornin everyone,

Looks like everyone is on track with their workouts. Excellent job!

I can hardly wait for Cardio Collectibles, they may not be up to par as Cathe, but on some days, I need a little less intense and longer cardio to pull it all together.

Yesterday I did MM and today I will be doing a well deserved cardio and a yoga. (more stretches than anything)

Take care and enjoy today.

Janie

Good morning everyone!

Hope those on the road have safe trips and fun outtings!

Let's see, yesterday got changed because the Christi Taylor Solid Gold Cardio came in. Boy, does that one move fast. I felt like such a klutz and I normally get things fast. However, I still did okay. It will take a couple of times to get those steps down, along with the arms. So, feeling guilty that I didn't do weights, I added on the P90 1/2 sculpt and 1/2 of TJ ab jam. Ended up with about 1 1/2 hours. At least I had the time. Today I think I will tackle Low Max.

Better run. Have a great day everyone!

Okay, here I am talking to myself again. But I don't want the thread to get totally lost while everyone is away having fun.

Yesterday, I did Low Max, step-combos only. It was a great way to get back into Cathe's workouts. After doing Christi's fast tough choreography, Cathe was a piece of cake! Of course, I've done LM a gazillion times, so maybe that doesn't count. :p

Today, if there is time, I'll do P90 3/4 sculpt and maybe some core or short cardio or both.

Tummy is doing better, but it is sure a long process. I must have screwed all back up this last weekend because I've been paying for it all week. ( I had some wine and chocolate and some white bread snuck in there when we were at Reno) So I probably took a couple of steps backwards. I think I might have to cut out the amount of nuts I've been eating too (using nuts as a way to get some extra fiber in) I know I have a sensitivity to peanuts, so maybe all nuts will effect me a bit. Darn it. I just love to have the fancy mixed nuts. Yummy.

Okay, enough talking to myself. I hope everyone is safe and having fun.
