Kick, Punch, and Crunch, WOW!!!

I did Kick, Punch, and Crunch for the first time today and I'll be very surprised if I'm not sore tomorrow or by the end of today. My legs are hurting as I sit here typing this. This workout is so different from Cardio Kicks. It can be done totally low impact which is what I pretty much did and I still had to take breaks. That last section before the drills just about did me in. It is the one with the hammer punch and pull the knee in. I wish I had my heart rate monitor on because there is no telling how high my heart rate went. I had to stop the tape and walk around before I could move on. And then I didn't even do the very last drill with all the kicking. My legs were just too tired. The ab work is wonderful. I loved where you move the ball to your feet and back to your hands. I was really getting sore in the abs and almost had to stop. I will definitely be doing this workout at least once per week as I need it.

I agree! I tried KP&C for the first time a few weeks ago and the next day, my back, legs, and arms felt like I had done each of the Slow and Heavy workouts the day before. It was tough! And considering that was after the first time I tried it, I can only assume it will be tougher next time, since I spent a lot of the first one on the wrong foot or just staring at the screen. Cathe is in top form on this one, her attitude, energy, everything is just contagious! Woo hoo!!!

I agree with everything you said Jillybean. I even posted a message to Cathe praising this workout. Finally, a kickboxing tape that I thoroughly enjoy and even look forward to doing!!

Hi Kelley! I'm thrilled to read your feedback. Glad to hear that you didn't give up and instead found ways to modify as you get acclimated to this workout. The low impact hammer punches at the end of the high intensity segment are probably one of the hardest exercises in the workout. Boy, do they wind you! You did great, keep it up:)

The day after and yes I am sore. My back is just a little sore, but my inner thighs are really sore. I decided to do Step, Jump, and Pump today. I did really good until I got to the squats with the barbell and my butt is so sore from yesterday also. I actually did not do any of the weight work and just fast forwarded to the cardio segments.

I really LOVE the feel of this workout. The pace is excellent. The warm-up is not too fast, not too intense. I truly feels like my body has time to warm up properly before I get started with the intense kicking and punching drills.

The entire workout reminds me a lot of the intensity drills at the end of Cardio Kicks, but the ability to tone down the high impact is amazing. So many people have asked for a really tough, low-impact workout, and this comes pretty close to fulfilling that request. Of course, there's still the ability to add the power kicks, and we still have a good amount of jogging and jumping jacks, but that kind of stuff is so easily modified.

KPC is fast becoming one of my favorite workouts. :7

I did it last night....OH MY!! I was making so much noise my dh came downstairs to see what the fuss was about. Cathe is trying to kill me I yelled. But oh what fun!! Did not get all the way through....but I loved it! Donna.

I love KPC too!! I think it is my favorite from the Body Blast series (though I don't have Step Blast or Step Jump and Pump). The first time I did it, I thought I was never going to be able to get through it. But after a few times, I got it down and now it is soo much fun. Time just flies by on this video!!

Thanks Cathe!!
