Kick Max and Supersets

I have a couple of questions for those who have used these workouts more often than I. First, with Kick Max, what do the premixes consist of? I did the Low Impact Kickbox one today, since I wasn't in the mood for a bunch of bouncing. But what are the other premixes, particularly the one title Kickbox Bootcamp? Does that include just the cardio sections, and no legs? Second, I did Supersets for the first time yesterday, and was overwhelmed by the list of premixes. I just did the complete workout, as is. But what are the premixes like? Is there a listing somewhere on this site so I can print it out and have it on hand? There were so many it was too much to try and figure out- I was admittedly confused by the Round 1, Group A, Round 2 Group B thing. It would be helpful to have a printed out listing of what each of those groups consist of. Thanks in advance! :)

Hi Erin. The Kickbox Bootcamp consists of the kicking and punching combos plus the blast challenges (jacks, plyos, etc.) There are 10 blasts. It doesn't have the leg drills. If you send me your e-mail address, I'll send you the Cathe Compendium which has all the premixes and a bunch of other stuff.

Hi Marcy,

I'm jumping in here because I was wondering if you could email me the workout compendium? I'm a premix junkie and it would be so helpful to have the compendium to look at. I'm at [email protected]

thanks,

Hi Deborah and webbgirl. I'm sorry but I'll have to make you both wait until Monday (it's on my work computer). Hope you can be patient until then.

Marcy

Marcy, I got the Compendium- thank you!

But I still have questions about the Supersets premixes. Does anyone have a listing of what each round/group consists of, meaning the specific exercies included? That would help tremendously in choosing what premix to do.

Also, I did Push Pull for the first time this morning, and was disappointed by how little ab work there was. I noticed there doesn't appear to be a core only premix from Supersets that I could tack on the end. My question is this: How does the mix and match feature work? And how does it compare to the Workout Blender? Would one of these allow me to put together the ab exercises from Supersets (which I love) so they play one after the other?

Thanks in advance for the help. :)

Round One, Group A:
Legs...........barbell squats
Legs/Back...barbell deadlifts
Chest..........barbell bench press
Shoulders....dumbbell front/side raise on stability ball
Core............wood chops on the stability ball

Round One, Group B (Repeats the body parts but uses different exercises:
Legs...........barbell plie' squats
Back...........dumbbell pullovers on the stability ball
Chest..........dumbbell incline fly on stability ball
Shoulders....dumbbell rotator cuff side raises on stability ball
Core...........roll outs on the stability ball (no weight)

Round Two, Group A:
Legs..........dumbell one leg squat
Shoulders...dumbbell seated overhead press
Biceps........barbell preacher curls on the stability ball
Triceps.......dumbbell extensions on the stability ball
Core...........bike maneuver

Round Two, Group B (Repeats the body parts but uses different exercises:
Legs..........explosive lunges (no equipment)
Shoulders...dumbbell rear and front delt raises on stability ball
Biceps........dumbbell concentration curls on the stability ball
Triceps.......seesaw tricep push ups (no weights)
Core...........side oblique crunches on the stability ball

The Mix n Match menu lets you choose an exercise and then the DVD will bring you back to the Mix n Match menu. The workout blender would allow you to choose up to 6 exercises played back-to-back, and would probably work for stringing the core work of Supersets together.

HTH,

Diane

First of all, thanks Diane for listing out the exercises for me. That is very helpful! :)

Second, I checked the Workout Blender on Supersets, and it actually won't allow you to specify just ab exercises. It just lets you pick Round One, Group A, or Round Two, Group B, etc. That's disappointing.

Sorry about the misinformation. And yes, that is disappointing.
