Kettlebell workouts

Just invested in a few kettlebells (4, 7, & 10 pound) and a few DVDs which should arrive this week. I wondered what others' thoughts are on kettlebell workouts and which DVDs are your favorites? I also would like to see Cathe produce a kettlebell workout!

Paul Kamati is the absolute bomb for kettlebell workouts. I have all three and they kick my rear! He is very likeable as well. Check him out on Collagevideos.com or totalfitnessdvds.com

Hth!

I love Lauren Brooks for learning kettlebells. I haven't tried Paul Katami but would like to.

We've been bugging Cathe for years about doing a kettlebell workout. Maybe it's time to bring it up again? I had about given up on her doing a Yoga workout, and now we have two.

Thank you for the suggestions. Elsie, I looked on Amazon for Lauren Brooks DVDs and saw they run about $40 each. Is there one of the three volumes you recommend most? I have been working out for years and am an intermediate to advanced workout level. Laura, I found workouts by Paul Katami, I think that is who you meant. Do you have a favorite of his to recommend? Perhaps I'll get one from each of the instructors.

Thanks!

Yeah, sorry I spelled his name wrong (my bad!) The newest one is the best, Burn and Build and is longer too. The ab section is really good (I just tried it yesterday.) I sweat buckets doing this one!

Hi there! I also invested in a 5lbs and 10lbs kettle bell. My 5lbs one was with an entire series called Kettleworx. I found the workouts to be too easy, so I bought a 10lbs one. Although the added weight made it a bit harder, it still left a lot to be desired. I never adapted to Kettleworx, so now the series is just sitting on my shelf collecting dust. I did however, like the concept. I have also read the reviews about Paul Katami on Collage Video and he seems the best :D

Volume I is great to learn from. Volume II has some additional moves and a bit more of a strength focus. I didn't get Volume III because I don't have a suspension training system (although I think you can do the workout without one). Lauren's site is Kettlebell Personal Trainer/Training in San Diego and Encinitas; Kettlebell Workout and Pregnancy DVD. There are some clips for each workout. You can also contact her--she is extremely nice and very helpful. Get on her email list--sometimes she has specials.

Maybe some other Cathletes will chime in. I learned about Lauren from this forum.

I just put this on my Amazon wish list.

Thank you for the recommendations. I just ordered Lauren Brooks vol. 2 from her website ($8 off - Thanks!) and Paul Katami Burn & Build. I also purchased a 15 lb. kettlebell since I think I might need a heavier one. I probably shouldn't have bought the 7 lb. one - oh well, my young girls can work out with it! A 4 lb. one came with Michelle Khai's DVD set, which is definitely too light. I am excited to try some of the workouts I've purchased, but I've been busy doing Cathe's new Low Impact Series rotation. I may sub a few kettlebell workouts into the mix.

I spoke too soon....did Michelle Khai's workout and was just fine with the 4 lb kettlebell that came with the DVD. The moves were fast, which I can't imagine with a heavier one - perhaps I'll try 7 lb. next time. I did up to my 7 lb one for her floor work though.
