Hi Cathe! I've been using your videos for about six weeks now. I'm almost 46 years old, and have been, up until now, a die-hard Firm user. I have all the original tapes and was starting to collect FitPrime tapes when I found you. I will never go back! LOL! I've been on Weight Watchers since the end of April, and have lost 32 pounds. More astounding than that though, is the inches that have come off, and I credit your workouts with that!! I've gone down 5 complete dress sizes. I am now in the size I was in when I was married, 15 years ago, The tape measure doesn't lie - LOL! I feel incredible, and it's so amazing to walk into a store and buy size 8 clothes!! My goal is to be back in size 6, and I know I'll reach it soon with the help of your tapes. I am loving every single workout! I have never strength-trained like this before. I have wonderful muscle definition - more so than I have ever had in my entire life, and my aerobic endurance is nearly back to what it was in my 20's, when I ran three miles a day in college!! Obviously, I am THRILLED!! Thank you for making your tapes, and for providing those of us who have a passion to push our bodies and challenge them with the means to do so! Your workouts are the absolute best - and I have tried everything out there! They are never boring, and your style is perfect. You are AWESOME!! If this 46 year old woman can do it, anyone can!!

WOW!! What an inspiring story! I'm curious, (I'm new to Cathe) what workouts have you been doing, what are your favorites, and which one seems to have given you the best results? I'm still going back and forth on which video to buy first and am about to pull my hair out! Thanks!

Hi Lynn! I started by ordering the Cross Train Express series, and I really love all of them. I like the idea of concentrating on one body part each day. This was something I never did before. With the Firm you work a little bit of everything in almost every workout, but never to the extent I work with Cathe's videos.

Then I ordered the Intensity series, plus Rhythmic Step, Power Hour, Step Works, the Slow and Heavy Series, Cicuit Max, Interval Max, Maximum Intensity Cardio and Maximum Intensity Strength. I've finally finished doing each of the workouts at least once, and so far my favorites are Rhythmic Step (which I can barely get through - LOL!), and Boot Camp! I also really love the Slow and Heavy Series, because I know the way I'm strength training now with Cathe's tapes is responsible for my being in size 8 again. I'm 15 heavier now than the last time I was in this size. I'm only 5'2", and it used to take me losing 15 pounds to be in the next size down. This isn't happening this time, and I credit the strength training and intense cardio workouts with this. I can't believe how my arms and legs look - LOL!

Anyway, I was overwhelmed at first too when I found this site, and saw all the tapes! I would say just pick the one or ones that sound most appealing and go from there. You simply can't go wrong with any of them! Hope this helps!!

HI Lynn
What do you mean you are 15 heavier then when this size before? Do you mean pounds? Also so you are saying doing 1 body part per day is all you weight train? So 1 time per week? I am going to get abck into weight training I love the effects but could not do it for a while I am looking for the most efficient way to get some definition and lose the extra 10 pounds I am almost 42 September 29th I am looking to try any suggestions I have all of Cathes tapes I have been doing her for about forever But took a break because of f amily illness Anyways I am back at it And I do not follow rotations real well just like to grab something and do it I also treadmill for variation Ok Thanks for your help

I'm Carol. The person who first replied to my original post is Lynn. No I do not only weight train one day per week. I weight train 3 to 4 days per week, and I do cardio 3 to 4 days per week. I don't follow rotations either. I just do what my body feels like doing for the day. I also walk and do yoga on days I can't do a full workout. I move something, somehow, every single day. What I meant by one body part at a time is Cathe's Cross Train Express series, which trains one body part each tape. And, yes I did mean pounds. The last time I was in size 8 was around the time I was married, and before I had my daughter. I was not weight training then - only doing aerobics and it was before I found the original Firm, so even the aerobics weren't very good tapes. I was 15 pounds lighter than I am right now. I have more muscles now, and therefore a leaner body than I did back then, so I can fit into smaller sizes even though the scale says a "heavier" weight. I have a homepage on AOL if you want to see my pics from my WW journey. The web address is

I'm never going to back to the way I let myself get! I'm here to stay!!

Sorry Carol I knew that and put in the wrong name anyways I think I know what you mean you do the crosstraining tapes 1 body part each day or several a day a couple times aweek. Yes i move something every day too I find I feel tons better I have been working out since I had my first son almost 20 years ago I started w Chrlene Prichett and the Firm also But now I only use Cathes tapes and the Treadmill Cathe is definitely the best and the hardest I quit weight training for awhile but kept up the aerobics and my pushups- worked my way to 4 sets of 25 full body. Boy it never gets easy, But it did help keep me toned. I still have a lot of strength even though I have not lifted for awhile. Ok enough about me I best go I htink I felt a rain drop and I live in Minnesota and we could really use some rain
Thanks for your reply I love this sight As they say I have been lurking for a long time just recently started to post.

Hi Carol,
I will be 45 in November and I have been using Cathe's videos for about 3 years. She is the BEST! Some moves I have to modify (Boot Camp)but I keep up. Today I did Muscles Edurance I feel good & strong. I have about 30 or her videos. I also preordered the new Body Blast Series (can't wait)Another favorite of mine is Power Hour. Some days I do one of her step videos but I walk 5 miles everyday so when I get home I pop a video in and off I go. The Cross train Express is great too. I am in a size 4 and three years ago I was an 8. I got results ! It is hard work but it is so worth it. Continued Success.

Hi Susan! Thank you so much for your kind words, and your post! It's inspiring to know us over-40 gals can still be strong and in those single digit sizes - LOL! Size 4 would be very cool, but I'll be thrilled with size 6 WHEN I get there ... and I know I will!! :) Cathe's tapes are the absolute BEST I have ever found!! I feel incredibly strong when I finish one of them, and even the ones I can't quite get all the way through yet get easier each time I do them. I'm such a klutz when it comes to step work, but she makes it easy to learn. I LOVE the heavy weights too! I even had to recently buy heavier dumbells and more plate weights for my barbell! Never thought I'd be doing that at nearly 46 years old - LOL! Thanks again for your reply - I really appreciate knowing there are others out there my age who are really doing it, and making it work!!
