Just started P90X

i use bands on door with a door stop and use that instead of a pull up bar. its still effective and someday u might want to use bands inplace of dumbells in the future just for variety. i wish i could have a pullup bar but i live in an apartment. its not mandatory but it does have its advantages. u can always do different back exersizes instead like pullovers and deadlifts.

Tony cracks me up. I love the comments he makes about his "peeps". I always end up giggling when I'm supposed to be doing push-ups or something. Like when he says to Adam in Core Synergistics "you make Gumby look like the Tin Man":p

Hi Sara! Tracey's step workout is very good, however, she doesn't break it down at all. She just expects you to know the routine. I find it annoying but challenging. The kickboxing workout is awful imo! Music was great but the workout itself is far too slow for me. I like my routine to be fast & fierce & this just doesn't cut it. The ab workout is AWESOME! Definitely her forte. Its pilates inspired b/c Tracey's a pilates instructor. I found it challenging. You can actually break up the workout into 2 segments. The stability ball segment is very challenging. I LOVED this one. The others are up to you if you want to purchase.

Now how did I know you would be interested? lol Phat Camp was by far the BEST fitness camp I had attended. You get a Q&A session w/Jen + you talk to her ONE ON ONE which is what I did! Friday when you arrive Jen goes through the agenda for the weekend. Then its hitting the cardio machines, then a weight session w/her. She splits you up into 3 different groups: 1) cardio, 2) weight session & 3) shopping. The women that compete strictly do supersets all of the time & only supersets. Jen bangs out one exercise after another you just can't believe how fast & accomplished you feel. She sells a handbook that lists all of the exercises that she personally does. There were a lot of new moves in it & I found them challenging.

Jen has a competition session where the women that are amateur competitors step up & Jen teaches them how to pose, how to stand out from all the others so that judges will "notice" just you. I came away from this camp learning so much it was amazing!! Jen's very down to earth & honest too. She couldn't believe my age (53) working out w/20, 30 & 40 year old women. She kept saying I was her inspiration! How cool is that!

You also get a Q&A nuttrition session w/her. I happen to know more about nutrition than Jen does but she does state that she's not a nutritionst.

Saturday was Bootcamp & this wasn't easy!! She did a lot of leg work using the step & if you thought that wasn't enough, she made us go outside & do sprints & burpees!!! Sunday was LEG day! My legs were so sore I could barely go to work on Monday! My legs had DOMS for 3 solid days & I never get that!

Definitely consider going in 2007 its worth EVERY PENNY! I plan on going to the one in NY in 2007 again! HTH, Kathy:D

PS: Jen's website is jennyh.com & there's this one GetPhatwithJen.com where you view where all the camps will be held in 2007.
