I'm glad it was not a bigger one. I seem to remember it's a good thing to have some smaller earthquakes so it's not storing up for big ones. Something like that. My science is very fuzzy--my degree is in Literature.
When I was in college I lived near a little-known fault line in southeast Missouri. We had something like a 4.2 one morning while I was still in bed. It was enough that we felt our beds shake but that was it. Freaky. But that's my only experience with earthquakes.
Christine and Susan! So glad to hear everything is okay. We love our endorphin and adrenaline rushes but not like THAT!!! Tee-hee that your DD was on the John Christine....I bet she'd LOVE knowing that you shared that with us}( :+ We want ALL of our California Girls to stay SAFE!
I also remember when we we were stationed in Washington State at Fort Lewis. The house began moving and shaking, I grabbed my Cat and we sat on the stairway until it left.
Everyone then ran outside.
Scarey stuff.
Rocky
just heard about the quake this morning. sorry, one of those long work days. glad you hear that you are all ok. amazing that the dogs slept through it. true, that animals are amazing indicators.
It was my first earthquake since moving to the East Bay from Minnesota 15 months ago. I was terrified sitting in my house as it literally swayed for 15 seconds. That's just not right!!! But thankfully no one was hurt and no damage... all my Cathe DVDs remained soundly on the shelf. What a welcome to California... right now a good snowball fight sounds pretty good!
