Just for fun, what do you think Cathe's next DVDs will or should be?

I would like to see a Upper Body Only workout that includes all 5 muscle groups. Cathe can call it Upper Body Blast.

I would like her to put out a compilation DVD from Kick Max and KPC that includes only the the punches and kicking combinations. I did do this with the workout blender but many of the chapters are not set right and thus cuts off part of the reps.

I like both those ideas, I'd add in MMA to the second with maybe a little Drill Max too, all that would be a terrific week long series? UBB is a winner!

Thanks Saundra!

I like the MMA and the Upper body blast, but how about some Hot Yoga, Power Yoga or Advanced Yoga for intermediate and advanced?

I like everyone's idea, I wouldn't per se do spinning (not sure what the kangaroo shoes are for) but like the sequels for sure. My number one vote would be for may a low impact -high intensity series b/c there are alot of people wanting that (me included) :)

I'm still stuck on this idea (Kangoo Shoes are for rebounding cardio core legs), I even started rebounding with 2lb. ankle weights (very effective), terrific core work. This is what a class looks like:

I'm not a big fan of Yoga or Pilates (hot Yoga sounds interesting:)), but I do enjoy the dynamic stretching Cathe does in between warm up & workout, like in Low Impact Circuit, I think I could go for a whole dynamic stretching routine along the lines of Stretch Max/ Core Max format, the 3 workouts with maybe martial arts type stretching for a full 20 minutes plus a warm up/ warm down depending on where you would want to use this. I think the books by Sang H. Kim illustrate this well.

I love the idea of a low impact/high intensity series. That would be fantastic.

More MMA and Kickboxing

Would love another Low Impact Circuit type workout or another lowmax type workout and another bootcamp...that is one of my all time favorites. :)

But potentially very risky for the ankles, knees and hips. Yikes!

Adding the ankle weights doesn't really change the dynamics, then again I don't do all the moves I do without weight, in other words, the rebound action is, for lack of a better word, predictable. Wouldn't be surprised if someone else hadn't done it.:)

What was noticeable the next day were the core DOMS, oh yeah:p

Excellent thread!

I would love

(1) UPPER BODY SPLIT
(2) KICK PUNCH & CRUNCH 2
(3) RHYTHMIC STEP 2
(4) BOOT CAMP 2
(5) YOGA (tough like P90X)

i think these are great workouts and I reach for them often. Rhythmic step is my most favorite step workout and i have to force myself to skip a week or two between so I don't get bored with it.

As for me, I'm not a spinner nor a kettle bell person (for now) and I don't care for those -- my 2 cents.

OK, I think I understand what "metabolic training" is now, it seems like this is one of the growing trends in workouts, so I'm going to predict Cathe WILL do something along these lines, and I hope she does!

A workout along the line of the Dozois peak 10 and Patrick Goudeau Lean hot body workouts, but with Cathe's own take of course

Cathe could really offer up some great workouts in this style. I guess, it's kind of similar to something like a Drill Max, but there is something just different about these workouts.

A Foam Roller workout?

This is my first post on this updated Cathe forum so hello everyone!

I've been using Cathe tapes and DVDs since 1997, so I may be a bit older than most of you gals (I'm 47). I was pregnant with my third baby when Cathe was pregnant with her first son and it was fun working out with Cathe tapes at that time (no DVDs yet in 1999/2000!) and sharing pregnancy experiences with other preggos.

I have almost all of Cathe's DVDs except for the STS series (although I have the Abs DVD from STS). I also run and I plan to get the STS series eventually but right now I have plenty of Cathe workouts to keep me fit and strong.

Over the past six years, I've been running in 5ks and 10ks and this fall I'm going to run in the "Run Like a Diva" half-marathon on Long Island. What I would really love to see from Cathe is a DVD which unleashes all of the benefits of the foam roller. It could be something along the lines of her 'Hardcore' Stretch Max and Core Max DVDs but this time using a foam roller. A foam roller DVD would be the perfect DVD to reach for to get those knots out of our tight muscles (aka myofascial massage). The foam roller can also be used for core work too. I just know Cathe can make a fantastic foam roller DVD. Everything she does is high quality, effective, fun and inspiring.

Since you asked, that's what I'd like to see from Cathe next! Please, Cathe, please!!!:D

I like this idea.

IMO, there is not yet a 'perfect' foam-roller workout on DVD yet (I've tried several).

It would be great to have 'full body', 'lower body' and 'upper body' options, as well as a segment with core work, as you suggested.

And there are quite a few of us in your age group or older on the forums!
