I thought I would do this just for fun and I found it easy to do. Someone was asking Cathe for an updated 16 week Max Weight Loss Rotation. Here is a link to the original http://69.0.137.118/dc/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=7&topic_id=52&mesg_id=52&page=30 and here is what I came up with:
Week 1:
Day 1: KPC or Amy Bento's KBX
Day 2: GS BSB/B&G Core Only
Day 3: Step Blast or Cardio Fusion or Amy Bento's HLX

Day 2: MM or Amy Bento's APX Total Body Premix or a Jari Love workout
Day 3: Rest
Day 4: High Intensity Step Mix or SJP/SB Cardio Circuit Premix
Day 5: MM or Amy Bento's APX Total Body Premix or a Jari Love workout
Day 6: Amy Bento's HLX premix or HC Extreme #3 minus the leg conditioning drills
Day 7: DM or LIC
Week 3:
Day 1: DM Cardio only premix/PUB Shoulders only/B&G Core Only
Day 2: SJ&P Step only/SB Blasts only/PUB Tri's only
Day 3: BC WU & Cardio only premix/SJ&P hi/lo only/BC Core only premix/PUB Back only
Day 4: KPC premix of choice/PUB Chest only
Day 5: BM2 WU, Step Combo's, Power Circuits only ending with abs & stretch or BM2 Scrambled Eggs premix
Day 6: Imax 3 premix 1-5 or LIC Cardio only premix/PUB Bi's only/B&G bonus abs
Day 7: Rest
Week 4:
Day 1: Cardio of choice for 45 min. (walk, run, bike, or something out of the norm)
Day 2: LM or favorite step workout
Day 3: GS BSB/BC Cardio only premix/PUB abs only
Day 4: GS CT/HC Extreme #3 minus leg conditioning drills
Day 5: B&G
Day 6: Rest
Day 7: BM2
Do just like you would the original. I tried to make a CTX like schedule for week 3 and I really tried to just use updated workouts to keep as close to the original as possible. 'Hopefully this helps those looking for an updated rotation.

Question...what do you think of Amy Bento. I have seen her but was wondering how she compared to Cathe. Cathe, I think is the ultimate, and I didn't know if Amy was as hard/challenging. Let me know. Thanks ")

Angela, how cool of you to take the time to do this?? I am doing the Aug. 2004 rotation right now, but when I am done, I may tackle this one. THANK YOU!!

>going to do this one?
Not right now b/c I just made up a rotation that I want to try using my new bosu workouts (new bosu too), new step, new Amy Bento's (HLX & KBX), new Kelly Coffey Meyer's, and some of my Cathe's, and maybe a couple of other workouts. I just thought this would be easy to update and wanted to give it a try since some people were asking for it! I really need variety right now and have a lot of new workouts to incorporate into a rotation! I hope you enjoy it!:7

Kristen,
I'm actually a slow and recent convert to Amy Bento. I wasn't wild about how she got her name out nor was I happy with the way she treated a friend in the fitness world nor was I happy with her lowering the prices for workouts when previously she told another forum that they were getting the best dealand the workouts would never be available for such a good deal again and this forum was pivitol,in my opnion, to getting her where she is today, BUT a great workout is a great workout. A kind VFer loaned my HLX and APX. I love the hi/lo workout and I'm not a fan of hi/lo. There are a couple of moves I still have trouble with but the music is great, Amy's energy is perfect and motivating, and it is a fun sweat fest! I ordered the kickbox on faith because I liked the hi/lo so much. I should receive the workouts sometime next week. I didn't care too much for the APX for some reason. A lot of equipment changes and it didn't seem to click with me. I tried a couple of Amy's first offerings and wasn't happy with them, but I'm glad I gave her another try. She is planning an Advanced Step Challenge 2 which I will definitely be keeping my eye on. I don't have the first step workout b/c I won't pay that much for a such a short workout, but I've heard it's a good one and the clips look fun and fabulous (even if there is a lot of whooping). No whooping on HLX.

It's nice to "see" you again. Glad you like it. It didn't take that much time. This was easy to update. Cathe did all the hard work in the original!

Angela. Hey, thanks fot the reply. Question?...have you visited Amy Bento's website. If not, just type in her name in the search column at google. She actually has a few new and longer (more advanced workouts). Do you like her more than Cathe. I am a figure competitor and have recently gotten into Cathe. I LOVE her advanced stuff and her tapes have really helped me increase my plyometric skills. My favorite workouts (that I have created) are:

1. WORKOUT A:
KPC (high intensity drills 2x) + combos
Kick Max Blast challenge
Bootcamp cardio only premix
explosive plie squats (from Legs & Glutes)

2. WORKOUT B:
Drill Max Legs & Cardio premix
Imax 3 blasts only premix
BM2 power circuits w/ weights
explosive jump lunges (from Legs & Glutes)
superset: low pulse lunges + barbell deadlifts (Butts & Gutts)4x
glute sqeeze on stability ball 2x

I am still learning other tapes and will make up some more workouts. I am not sure if anything can get harder than Imax 3 blasts only premix!!! My HR gets into the 180s ")

Holy cow woman!!! You are doing some tough stuff! What type of competition do you do?

To answer your question, I have visited her site. As a matter of fact, I just posted on her forum tonight! Anway, I just orderd her Kickbox Xtreme and Hi/Lo Xtreme from collage along with to bosu workouts. They are due to arrive next week. I don't like Amy more than Cathe, but I needed to add some variety to my cardio since I do a lot of Cathe and step. Someone loaned me Amy's hi/lo and I really, really like it. It is fun and as challening as any Cathe cardio. I will let you know about the kickbox when I recieve it! I have a feeling that I will be intersted in Amy's upcoming offerings also as her worous do seem to get better and better and she does seem to be listeing to her customers. Happy weekend!

P.S. Have you checked out Aqua-jock's mish-moshes? They are tough and you would probably like them!!! I've only done a couple and they about KILLED me!

Hey! Thanks for the quick reply ") I LOVE to workout...as you can tell!! I just put these DVDs together and they seem to make sense, that is, they "fit" with each other. I have been doing a lot of reading of other people's workout ideas and from that I am going to put together some more combos. There is endless possibilities with all the awesome things Cathe comes up with. No, I have not yet checked out Aqua-jock;s mish-moshes. In fact, I haven't even come across them?? Tonight I visited Amy's website. PLEASE let me know what you think of her KIckboxing. I have KPC and Kick Max. Kick Max is too easy though (except the blasts)and I would like some variety too. I am also interested in AMy's Bootcamp. Anyways, keep me informed. Take care and keep working hard! ")

Hey Angela,

I was wondering if you could give me a ballpark idea of the average workout time on this rotation? (I don't expect a day-by-day breakdown! Just an idea of how long they are, if you know without too much trouble.) If not, that's ok. I was trying to see when I could get to this rotation, it looks great!

Thanks,
Tricia

Hi Tricia,
I have to honestly say that I have no idea. I just used the original as a template and tried to plug in newer workouts. Sorry. I don't *think* any day should last more than 90 minutes and some days will be a lot less. The Amy Bento workouts are over an hour but less than 90 minutes.
Angela
P.S. Just going back and looking at it, a lot of days look like they may be an hour give or take a little bit. But that is just a guess.
