just did my first Cathe

I just did my first Cathe this morning....Pyramid Upper Body after finishing 30 minutes on my treadmill. What an awesome workout. I have been doing the FIRM off and on for the last few years and saw good results when I stuck with it. However, I have heard so much about Cathe. I decided to order a DVD. It took me weeks to decide which one. I want more definiton and strength. Cathe really knows how to work each muscle group. My body needs this weight challenge. I am waiting for the TimeSaver Blody Blast. I figured I would start there, since I am not used to Cathe's long cardio workouts. I think I know what will be on my Christmas wish list. Also, I don't own a long step..since I have been doing the FIRM. Any advice on type and cost?

Isn't the PUB awsome. I love this workout. It is one of my favorite. When I first did this OMG I was in so much pain the next few days. To your 2nd question, check out Walmart.com or go to Cathe's homepage and check out the buyers guide on steps. Hope this helps. Have fun:p

Hi there! I'm fairly new to Cathe too, having done the Firm and FitPrime previously. I've been using my 14 inch Firm wooden bench, but recently ordered the high step. I also bought a new long step for the step workouts, and it was money well spent! I bought the one they use in their videos, so I could do the same moves. With the risers underneath it, it doubles nicely as a bench for weight training moves you do lying down. You will LOVE Cathe once you start using her regularly!! I now own most of the videos available on the website - LOL! I had to! They called to me!! I had been searching for something to break my boredom and strength training plateaus for quite a while, and Cathe was it!! She's the BEST! I'm never going back! Welcome to the forum!!

Cathe is awesome. Just the best around. I have all things Cathe, even the old stuff and just love it all.

I recomend the Intensity Series to you as a next purchase ;-)

Thanks, Edith!! I am loving this so much!! It's a great birthday present to myself - I'll be 46 next week, and I know I've just added years to my life by losing this weight and making a life-long commitment to staying in shape!!

Welcome, Affirm!

I am so glad you are a new Cathe appreciator. You will not be disappointed with any Cathe workout.

Look on your local www.craigslist.com (if they are in your area). You might find a used club-sized step. That's where I found mine, for 5 dollars!!

I started with The Firm too! I think it's an excellent intro to Cathe!
You will really enjoy working out with Cathe. She never underestimates her participants.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I have visited the forum often and really enjoy it. Sounds like my credit card may be getting a workout. I know that is what happened 5 years ago when I got addicted to the FIRM. Hubby won't complain because he knows my DVDs won't sit there and collect dust. I guess I better shop around for a long step, so I will be ready when my Time Saver videos arrive. I really don't want to spend a $100 in a long step/weight bench. I rather save my money for videos. I hope I find a bargain somewhere. I plan to just use my wooden fanny lifter in place of the high step.

Hey, WELCOME to Catheland! Great to have you join us! You need to get PLB too. NICE compliment to the upper body tape. Then, you NEED to get ALL the rest of her tapes! We know you will eventually. (Christmas is coming!) Do you have a Play It Again Sports store? (Used sporting equipment.) If so, they might carry a long step. Or, not knowing where you live, if there are garage sales, sometimes you can pick one up for a good price. Fitness Wholesale carries them. I think they are around $70.00-$80.00??? Good Luck and again, WELCOME!!!!
