jumping rope

I have added jumping rope to my fitness routine. I have some old tapes that I made from FitTV of Cathe's videos and I jump rope during the commercials. It really gets my hear rate up and I was wondering if this could be considered a circuit training workout. I am trying to boost my metabolism as I have gained about 7 lbs over the last couple of years. What does everyone think?
 
Jumping rope during the commercials is a good idea since it is high impact.If the Cathe w/o is weight training like PUB then I guess it would be considered a circuit w/o.
 
I do something similiar. I will occassionally replace the drills in bootcamp with one minute of rope jumping. I do the same thing with some of my other circuit workouts. It really gets your heartrate up and is great for slimming the entire body. I love it.:D
 
Sometimes I will run in place or do jumping jacks! :)
