Jogglers October!!!

Hi Everyone,

I'm not sure what I'm doing tonight but it will be either a run or something outside because the weather is beautiful today.

Alisha ~ You are making me hungry!!! :):)

Cindi ~ The Hot Chocolate Run sounds like fun! I could deal with an all chocolate post race event! I will have to add that to my race schedule for next year. Working out with family members is fun! My sisters and I workout all the time together.

Lisa ~ I'm doing the Battlefield Marathon on November 13 in Fort Oglethorpe, GA. There is a 6 hour time limit! Hopefully I won't need that. :D
The one I'm looking at next year is the Oakbarrel Half in Lynchburg, TN (home of Jack Daniels) although I don't know how fast it's going to fill up. It's limited to a 1000 runners. I want to do it but my sister wants to see how she likes the running the 1/2 before she will make a commitment.

Tricia ~ Sorry you didn't get your run in. You need to come down here. The weather has been absolutely gorgeous!

Cindi - That Hot Chocolate Run sounds wonderful! I just don't know if that would be chocolaty enough to get me to the end! Maybe if it was Hot Fudge Chocolate Run . . .

Sounds like a lot of fun at the gym yesterday with your boys!

Alisha - I'll help save you from yourself. Just send some of those cookies up here!

Lisa - I'm sure you could run 11 miles! I came close - once. I love your description of your "interval" run! LOL! Leash wedgie! LMAO! I love it!

I wonder if plants would do tricks for fertilizer . . . ?

Jane - Don't rub it in! It's been so miserable here! I could handle the temperature being down if it wasn't for the rain. It just makes it bitter and biting! Brrrr! Peanut is laying here next to me shivering! Of course, she's a great actress! Very overly dramatic!

So, no workout today. I have GS Legs up for tomorrow morning. It's supposed to rain on Thursday, too, but as long as it's not like it was this morning, I'll still go. You know that it had stopped by around 6:30 this morning! Darn it.

Have a great night everyone! I'll chat at you all tomorrow!

BTW, Cindi - Thank you so much for the headlight! It's perfect! I keep forgetting to tell you. I don't have any problem with bouncing light on the road or nausea. Looks a tad goofy, but at least I won't fall or trip on any holes or gashes in the road/sidewalk/path!

You all are so great! We will definitely have to figure out a way to get together! First round is on me when we do!

Hi again,

This is what I ended up doing tonight.

5 Rounds
10 lunges w/kettlebell (10 each leg)
10 push ups
10 sumo squats w/kettlebell
10 jumping jacks
10 jump squats
12 kettlebell swings
10 push press w/kettlebell (10 each side)
10 squat thrusts

If I can run 11 miles, you guys can too. I'm so slow!!

Tricia ~ Poor little Peanut. If I could find a way to bottle the sunshine and warm weather I would surely send you some. Have fun with GS Legs. That's a tough workout!!

Hi ladies!

Tricia - so glad you like the headlight. :)

Lisa - loved the random interval workout! Dogs are so fun.

Alisha - did you make those cookies? They sound so good - when are you shipping them out to your joggling friends?

Jane - do you track your calorie burns duing the KB workouts? I'm wondering - they seem so intense and I know the KB engages your entire body.

Spin last night. Tonight is more cardio - not sure what. I really shouldn't run, my foot wasn't very stiff this morning but there was some stiffness. I may do a little of this, a little of that. I've decided to finish this week of meso 3 and then do something else. The meso 3 workouts are not doing it for me. I want more energy in my weight lifting!

I never did get around to making the cookies, got too busy. Maybe I will do that later today.

This morning I did 4DS Double Step Cardio Premix. My eats are ok. Its ttotm so I'm so tired. But, the weird thing is my heart rate was down go figure. I did the whole workout on 6 inches and I wasn't above 150 bpm except for the last blast.

Its nice and sunny now. It was thunder and lightening all night so I did not have to water the garden. In the summer I sometimes water 2x/day because the poor little plants just can't tolerate it. I need to find some really pretty, drought/deer resistant flowers.

Cindi- I hope your foot is feeling better. I would run for chocolate.

Lisa- Hi!

Tricia- Peanut could come to my house, it was a balmy 72 deg. this morning.

Hi Everyone!

I am taking a rest day. I had to take my mom to chemo and then go to the hospital because a friend of the family is having double knee replacement surgery. She is the lady that lets us use her pool. My sister took her to the hospital and is staying over night so I hung out with sis while mom was having chemo.

Good news for mom...the chemo nurse told us that she may not need to have her last chemo treatment. We are suppose to find out on Friday. Apparently her blood results were very good. There is one test that they do for her blood (I don't know the name of it) but the optimal reading is 10. Last month it was 20 and this month it was 13.5! So that is very, very good. We are keeping our fingers crossed that today was her last chemo treatment.

Cindi ~ No I don't keep track of my calories. I've read some numbers that seem really crazy but can't verify if it's true. My heart rate really soars though.

Alisha ~ No cookies??? :(

Hi Lisa and Tricia!

Hi everyone!

I'm on late tonight! Was on the phone with my coach. Yes, I took the plunge and became a Beachbody Coach! Don't worry, I don't sell, so this is the last you'll hear of it from me! I mainly wanted the 25% off! LOL! Who knows, though? Right?

Anyway, I'm not feeling any DOMS yet in my legs and glutes, but I know it will come!

Today was torrential rain, but it's over! Yippee! We should see the sun tomorrow! I'll be able to get my run done in the morning!

Jane - I doubt you're as slow as you say! That's wonderful news about your mom! I'm sending positive energy that the news is no more chemo come Friday! Healing energy to your friend for quick recovery from her surgery! That's going to be tough having them both done at the same time!

Cindi - I saw more improvement in my muscles from Meso 2! What did you end up doing tonight?

Alisha - What??? No cookies??? Awwww. lol. Peanut would love to visit you, but you probably wouldn't enjoy it much! She's needy.

That's it for me tonight girls! I'm beat and I want to get just a bit of reading done!

I meant Kettlebells. Good question - I often get confused when someone says KB wondering which is it.

No cookies yet? Maybe I will have to make my own. I have a lot of oatmeal sitting around.

Jane - great news about your mom!

Last night I ended up doing a weights class with my friend and then 30 minutes on the bike. The weights class was very cardio intensive with lots of burpee type moves, compound moves, step ups with weights, etc. Tough class!

Rest tonight - the boys have a band concert.

Hi ladies,
Tuesday I did a brisk one mile run just because I needed to do something and didn't have much time. Yesterday morning the gang and I doggled CC V1. I'm not sure what I am going to do today, maybe another CC with the pups at the orchard.

Tricia - I ran a 1/2 marathon several years ago so I know I can do it, finding the motivation to do it is a whole 'nother story :) Also, we are all very excited about you being a BeachBody coach because we now want great service and discounts ;)

Jane - That's so exciting! I hope things work out well for your mom.

Hi Alisha and Cindi!

Lisa

Alisha - Now you know you have to send each of us a dozen of those cookies, right?

Cindi - That class sounds good! Enjoy the concert!

Lisa - A mile is still a mile and running, even more so! Any distance over about 8 miles gets tough. I'm not sure I have what it takes to do a half! I'm getting sick of training just for this 10K! I'm ready to run for fun! LOL!

Yes, I will be you Coach! Great service, fabulous - the absolute best of the best! The discounts - well, that's up to you guys! I'll let you know after I start Insanity if I think it's worth it! LOL! You know the number to 911, right? LOL! I'm sure it'll be great! My goal is to just kick my body into losing that fat!

Got a good run in this morning, but it only registered 4.2 miles. I'm sure it was 4.5 at least. Tomorrow is GS Back, Biceps and Shoulders!

I was in a bad way with my back/neck today at work, but I typed all day. Had to keep taking breaks. Funny how it feels so much better when I stand or lay down, but sit and type reaching across my desk? Ugh. Miserable! Had to take 4 Advil gel caps because I forgot to take a good Ibuprofen at home at lunchtime!

Well, hello to Jane! Have a great night and a very happy Friday!

Good Evening,

I ran about 40 minutes tonight around my mom's neighborhood. I had to give her the after chemo shot tonight. I'm getting better at giving them.

Cindi ~ your class the other night sounded like the boot camp classes I used to go to.

Lisa ~ I agree with you regarding training for a 1/2 or full marathon. The hardest part of a 1/2 marathon and I'm sure for a marathon is training. You have to really be diligent about getting your long runs in. I couldn't imagine training for a marathon. Maybe when I'm retired, I'll try one.

Tricia ~ When are you going to try out Insanity? I have it but haven't done it in a while.

Hi Alisha!

Hope everyone has a great night.

Hi ladies!

Concert was good last night - the jazz band played Crazy Train and Crazy Little Think Called Love. FUN. It was really nice to see the boys playing together in the trombone section. I was very proud of them.

I'm supposed to so Shoulders and Arms tonight but I'm still sore from Wednesday's workout so I may switch out and do something different.

I decided I'm going to do another week of STS Meso three then switch over to a more cardio and cardio/weights plan until Thanksgiving. I have a bunch of workouts I haven't done or have just done partially. So I'm going to do them.

Long weekend here - Honor and David go to D.C. for their 8th Grade Trip. They leave the school at 4:30 am tomorrow and get home Monday evening around 8 pm. Paul will be the only child this weekend and he's looking forward to it! We'll go see a movie and try to do some other fun stuff.

cookie cookie cookie!

a la the Cookie Monster. I didn't get around to making those cookies, I got all distracted with work work work. I will bake them today.

I did 4DS KB/Bootcamp yesterday. Today is CTX all of the step segments mish moshed together. I expect to spend the day on the computer editing video, punctuated with chores and cookie baking. I plan to make them with oatmeal, golden raisins, shredded coconut, walnuts and pear sauce. Its a good thing that I workout;)

Catch you girls later!

:rolleyes:Hey ladies,
I am/have been crazy busy! Thursday I did the first two challenges of CC V1 due to time issues. Yesterday I did Push Pull and High and Tight and ran 1 mile of intervals. I don't know what today will bring.

Yes, the long runs were the hardest part of training for the half marathon. Frankly, I just get bored after a while. Luckily my body seems to respond very well to lower mileage interval work so I will do that for fitness purposes and only do a higher mileage race as a personal challenge.

I'll catch up with everyone later. I have a class to teach this morning and three puppies to wrangle up to Maryland somehow. Anybody know anyone in Richmond VA who would want to help transport puppies on Sunday?!?:rolleyes:

Lisa

Happy Saturday Morning everyone!

Jane - Whew! What a workout last night! That was a toughie and I didn't even try it! I'm planning on starting Insanity after my race on the 31st. Haven't decided the exact day yet. I may take a couple of rest days first.

Cindi - Have a fun weekend with Paul! I hope David and Honor have a great trip!

Alisha - Have fun baking cookies! The weather's perfect for baking!

Lisa - Hope you have a good weekend and get some time to enjoy it!

I'm taking my rest day today. Need to get groceries. Stephen wants to go hit with his new golf club today. So, we'll probably go out to the range later today.

Have a great long weekend!

joggle

Hee hee hee I went out for a joggle even though it was supposed to be a step day. The concept of following any choreo was daunting so I just ran. Out the door. Bye! See Ya!! I collected two hawk feathers, saw a snowy egrit (spl?) and juvenile turkeys.
