Jogglers November!!!

Hi everyone,
I didn't workout Monday night afterall. Yesterday I did AOS Empire State. Today I did the upper body from Supersets and a in interval doggle at the orchard. Totally random intervals.
Lisa

Evening ladies!

Alisha - Nice work! DH left his shuffle and Jaybird earbuds at my friend's house in DC! They one their way home! I couldn't run without mine!

Cindi - Oh! How great for Paul! I love theatre! Tell him congrats on his first for me!

Jane - I'm so glad your mom is feeling better! Good luck in your half this weekend! I hope you have great weather for it!

Lisa - Pupivals: Definition: A random run/walk with 4-legged friends determining pace, stride and duration for each interval!

I was so tired this morning! Not as sore as I would have thought I should be though. I've survived Day 2! Only 3 more days for this week! I have Cardio Recovery tomorrow. I'm sure it isn't going to as easy as it sounds like it should be! You definitely get your workout done really fast! At least it seems to go by really fast! I'm still hanging around 240-250 cals, but I get the feeling it's all in the intensity!

Have a great night! I really need some sunshine! It's been a week under the clouds and rain. Sigh . . .

This morning I will do some yoga, later today is Step Jam.

Tricia- You should come to my house, its sunny.

Lisa- Those pupivals don't sound too intense, its a good thing you also get other workouts:p

Jane- I am glad your Mom is feeling better.

Cindi- How did the play go?

Alisha

Good Afternoon!

This will be my last post of the week. Tomorrow morning we head to North Georgia for the race on Saturday morning. The race is at 7:30am(EST). Please pray for me and send me positive running vibes!

The temperature at race time will be about 42 degrees and clear. It will be in the mid-50's by the time I finish. I plan on wearing shorts and a short sleeve shirt with my arm warmers.

Tricia ~ Keep up the good work with Insanity!

Alisha ~ Hope yoga went well today.

Lisa ~ Interval doggles at the orchard sounds like fun.

Hi Cindi!

Hi all!

Jane - That is great weather for the race! Praying you finish healthy and happy!!!

Paul did great in the play and it was really fun to watch. Ran 3 miles yesterday and did Ilaria's Athletica today.

Doggles and Pupivals - so cute!

Alisha - Oooh, Step Jam! Makes me want a sandwich for some reason! Can I just come move in with you?

Jane - Lots of luck on your race! That's a pretty chilly start! It's about where we were in DC, but you'll warm up really fast, which I'm sure you know! I'll be thinking of you and sending lost of energy! You're going to do great!

Cindi - Glad the play was fun! Hope you had a nice run!

Hi Lisa!

Well, got a nice break today with Insanity. It was Cardio Recovery, which I thought would still be pretty brutal. It was a really nice stretch and strength workout for about 35 minutes. Nice, slow low impact moves. I really think my flexibility is going to improve a lot with this rotation! Tomorrow it's back into the HIIT madness for 2 more days this week, then golf on Sunday!

Almost forgot! Stephen began completing his PhD applications today. This is only the beginning! When it gets closer to when he should expect some responses, I'll let you all know! All the good vibes and prayers he can get will be great!

Tricia- yeah! Why not? We have 6 acres, theres plenty of room. And, we are only about an hour and a half from Napa. I sure hope that Stephen gets what he wants! School applications are half the battle.

I had planned a joggle, but I forgot to do the laundry. So, its been down graded to a hike. I really can't manage without my jog bras:eek: My polar is behaving erratically. Its not displaying the whole numbers even though I just changed out the battery. I'm going to buy a back up monitor and leave it in the package as long as I can. This morning it seemed fine, but I need that feed back because otherwise I work too hard or not enough.

Cindi- I haven't tried any of Ilaria's workouts. I will have to put that in my Netflix cue.

Jane- I'm busily sending warm running vibes:)

Hi Lisa- Had a doggle or pupivals today?

Sending good luck thoughts for Stephen! PhD applications are not fun.

Alisha - I really like her new set.

I'm going to do Jari Love's latest workout today. Busy weekend coming up. David has a Table Tennis tournament and Paul will be camping. Honor has cello lessons, then she and I are going to the fiber shop to partake of their christmas open house and I'm picking up some raw wool to spin for mittens! The raw wool still has lanolin in it so it softens your hands while you spin and makes a semi-waterproof yarn.

Have a great weekend (good luck JANE!).

Alisha - When DH got me my Garmin, he took up the Polar. He likes having it! How long have you had yours? Could it be the receiver?

Cindi - You have a busy weekend!

Thanks for the good wishes for the PhD apps! He'll be hard at it all weekend!

I slacked off Insanity tonight to spend a few hours with DH. Picking back up tomorrow. He'll be busy with school work and apps anyway.

{{{Sending high energy vibes, Jane!}}}

Hi Lisa!

Today is Low Max. I had planned on the original imax but I'm just not looking for plyos today.

Jane- GO GO GO !!!!!

Hi Lisa!!

Cindi- That sounds like a really fun shopping trip. There are some sheep here in our neighborhood (its a horse/4h place with 6-20 acre yards.) Its too cold to give them a shave.:)

Tricia- I'm not sure what the deal is. I wasn't using my strap and it just started looking funny. I've had it for 2.5 years. I just changed the battery. It was working fine. And, of course, now it swears that its fine. I went to Sports Authority to get a back up and they had the wrong colors so of course, I didn't buy that.:p

Alisha - That's just weird. Maybe it's possessed! ; )

Playing golf tomorrow with DH and a friend of his from school. I'll be nervous playing with someone else! I'm really bad at it still! Need more practice, but hopefully, he won't care!

I'm having one of my down days. I'm just not seeing that we're ever going to be at a point where things are good. Sure, we'll have an up here, but then something will happen to draw us back down again. I could just break down and cry right now, but DH is home and I don't need to add to the load he's carrying right now. What's worse is that I have no one here to call and meet up with to vent and get it off my chest. Sad, isn't it?

Oh, well, so (sigh) I've just got to suck it up, be strong and get through as best I can until I get over it!

Thanks for "listening!"

Jane - I hope you had a great run today!

Cindi - Take some you time this weekend! Hope you're having a great time!

Lisa - Hello there!

Tricia ~ {{{{Hugs}}}} You'll be fine! Hang in there!! The times when you are down really make you stronger. Stay positive and know that you are strong enough to handle anything. Come here and vent whenever you want. We are here for you!!

Well, I made it through my first half marathon. First of all it was the most stunning day! The temperatures in the morning were in the 40's. Ok....I'm going to say it....I WAS COLD!!! But I was just wearing shorts and a short sleeve top with my arm warmers. Runners were throwing off jackets all over the course. I'm glad I went with less clothes. The battlefield was gorgeous. The leaves were changing and the colors were just beautiful! The first turn into the battlefield was breathtaking! I felt really good until about mile 10 when I started to lose energy. There was mile markers but no time keeping but I got times from people at mile 8 and mile 10 so I knew I was on target to meet my goal of under 3 hours. I walked most of mile 12 and when I got close to the 13th mile, my left calf seized up and I had to stop for a couple of seconds and massage it. It loosen up and I was able to cross the finish line running. I drank water/powerade at all the stops but did not drink lots of water the day before or before the race. I think I was getting dehydrated at the end.

The course was very beautiful. We ran mainly on paved road through the battlefield so we were running past monuments. It was very cool. They started the race with a cannon blast! The course was VERY hilly. Lots of hills. Did I mention all the hills??? All in all it was a great experience and my sister and I are looking for another marathon in the spring to do.

My mom handled the trip very well. It was so wonderful to see her at the finish line cheering us on. She even got to "play" with the cannon before the race.

My quads are a little sore today but otherwise I feel really good.

I'm going to make some cookies today and try to clean up the house today.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Hi ladies,
It's been a busy week/weekend. My sister-in-law came into town with her two boys.

Thursday I did all of the lower body focused segments from AOS Providence and did them twice. Then I did Bum Bum.

Friday we all did Ellen Barrett's Slim Sculpt together.

Saturday was a rest day. Two of my fosters left on a transport for MD and we hung out, checked out local galleries, went to the park (I did run 1.5 miles or so), etc.

Today I walked three miles with the critters.

Tricia - I'm sorry you are feeling down. It's hard to feel isolated.

Jane - Great job on your 1/2!!

Hi Alisha and Cindi!

Lisa

Jane - Awesome job on the race! I couldn't imagine a half with all those hills! WTG! Your mom looked like she was having so much fun! Wish she could have set the cannon off! How cool would that have been, huh?

Thanks for the hugs! It was a tough day yesterday.

Lisa - I saw all that you were working on this weekend on FB! Amazing work! I'm so glad so many of the pets found good, happy homes!

Golf was great today and a terrific release! I thought we were only going with Jon, my DH's friend from school, but another one of his undergrad buddies also came so we had a foursome! I was a bit nervous at first, but got settled in after about the 2nd hole. I still suck, but it was a nice, sunny day and we had a blast! The guys didn't make fun of me either! I think the more I play, the more comfortable I'll get and, hopefully, better!

I'm off work tomorrow and I start week 2 of Insanity. I only work 4 days, then I'm on vacation Thanksgiving week. I love having the time to cook and bake (yes, it's just for the 2 of us!) ahead of time, so I'm not killing myself on Thanksgiving! Wish we could all get together!

Hello Cindi and Aisha! Hope you've had a wonderful weekend!

Hey Tricia, I'm glad you had a good time golfing. It's challenging to do something you aren't great at but very rewarding when you let go and do it anyway. Of course you will get better with time.

I did Upper Body Blast from Supersets this morning.

Lisa

I never did Low Max on Saturday. I had developed shin splints. Yesterday, we had to go to the hospital, my Aunty was in for heart trouble. We went to see her. So, that meant no workout. I did have dinner at Olive Garden, I was good, I went with the salmon, broccoli and salad. <Ping>Thats my halo:p

Tricia-Your golf day sounds like fun.

Lisa-I run with critters, but they aren't on leash, theres turkeys, coyotes and bears oh my!:p

Cindi-Hi!!

Jane-Way to go on your 1/2!!!! What kind of cookies did you make?

Alisha - I understand. I have bobcats, bear, coyotes and wild pigs among other things. I freaked the heck out my sister-in-law Saturday. I could hear a coyote hunting my back hill when I got home. I don't allow the coyotes to get to comfortable on my hill. So I packed her and the kids in the house and told her to keep the boys inside. I trotted out with the .38 to do a little classic counter conditioning as is my usual routine. When I came back in, she looked a little shocked to say the least. I can't help it. I'm a college educated redneck doing critter control on a Saturday night.

Lisa

Happy Monday Everyone,

Tricia ~ I hope you are enjoying you day off.

Alisha ~ Take care of your shin splints. I hope Aunty is ok. The cookies were M&M for a bake sale. I ate 1 for quality control purposes. :)

Lisa ~ Good job with the critter control! You are one handy person to have around.

Hi Cindi!

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Hi everyone! Can't believe my day off is about over! :(

My poor DH has not been feeling well since yesterday afternoon. I hate when he doesn't feel well! He went on in to class tonight anyway.

Lisa - Great work on Upper Body Blast! Woo-Hoo! You are my kind of girl! Gun-toting, critter-chasing Annie Oakley! ;)

Alisha - Sorry about the shin splints! Hope they heal quickly! How is your Aunt doing?

Jane - Hope the squats went okay! Oooh, M&M cookies! I'm craving sweets so badly right now! LOL!

Started Week 2 of Insanity today! OMG! I don't feel stronger - at least, not yet! LOL! I'm going to try getting up in the morning to do my workouts again. I really just don't like doing it at night anymore! Go figure! We'll see if I can get up tomorrow!
