I did Pyramid Full Body this morning and a little bit of Ellen Barrett - I'm trying to stay stretched out and relaxed.

Cindi - Enjoy your rest day. It sounds like you are having fun.

Alisha - Absolutely. People with class don't feel a need to cut other people down.

Tricia - I find that I share less and less with people the older I get. Certainly people I'm close to but in terms of coworkers, acquaintances and the like - less and less.

Then
Dumbbell Push Press + Pull ups
10/1, 9/2, 8/3, 7/4, 6/5, 5/6, 4/7, 3/8, 2/9, 1/10 reps
Then
Kettlebell Step up Ladder (KB in rack position)
1-10 Ladder on 16"
1-10 Ladder on 14"
Alternating step ups on the 14" and 16"
Then
30 second Mountain Climbers
30 second Planks
6 Rounds (10 seconds to switch between exercises)

Cool but beautiful morning.

I took a rest day yesterday.

Thanks for all your support! I'm so disappointed when I think I've made a friend and they turn out to be so petty. I just don't know what to do anymore! It seems I have no one up here, even after 7 years, that I can truly call a friend! You'd think a whole life in the military would make me where I wouldn't need that kind of support.

Anyway, had a wonderful day of just hanging with my husband! As the semester moves forward, I seem to see him less and less, so it's been nice! Obviously, didn't work out last night or today! We're going for a run in the morning. I think he's finally recovered from his marathon!

Cindi - Your spinning looks so impressive! Lumpy or not, that's one thing I've never learned to do! What a great skill!

Jane - You are awesome! What great routines!

Lisa - Nice workout! Smart to work on stretching! I don't do it enough!

Alisha - You had a nice workout, too, I see!

DH is going to play golf (maybe) tomorrow, so I'll get an upper body workout in while he's gone after I go grocery shopping! We've had nothing much in the house since before we left for DC! I've been eating like crap! It's time to get some real food and eat like I should!

I'm only a couple of days away from starting Insanity! If you don't hear from me in a couple of days, call 911! I'll be out on the floor! LOL! ;)

No workout today, I'm just too fulll. Oh my belly! I had that grilled vegetable salad at CPK (California Pizza Kitchen.) and I was so hungry I ate the whole thing. I'm too full to do Travel Fit. I will do it in the AM. What the heck, I get a whole hour. I just turned my clock back. Life will be back to normal starting Monday. I didn't love running on the beach as much as I had expected to. There was this one really smelly part. Yuck. I'm going home to the black bear I guess.:p Of course, those do smell. lol. I'm going to try running down by the river and see if thats any better.

Hi Alisha! Yeah, the beach can get kind of fishy or seaweedy smelling at times! Depends on if you like that ocean smell or not! LOL! On the other hand, rivers can stink even worse! I hope you don't get that when you do your river run!

That salad must have been delicious!

I haven't done a thing all weekend! It's been nice hanging out with my DH! We were supposed to run this morning, but his golf partner scheduled a 9:30 a.m. tee time. He usually schedules for around 12:30 or 1 p.m. Oh, well.

It's been nothing but cloudy and rainy here for 4 days now! I'm dying for some sunshine! I do my fit test for Insanity tomorrow! I'm a bit nervous! I'm going to get measurements and before pics today (whether I post the pics or not on my blog is yet to be determined!) and will officially weigh in tomorrow morning. I know I've put on around 5 lbs. or so over these last 2 months, but I'm hoping with Insanity and getting back on track with my eats, I'll drop them in no time and make even more improvements in definition and body fat %, which still haunts me!

Hi Everyone!

I ran 10 miles this morning. It was cold - in the 30's but I wore short sleeves and my new arm warmers. It was great. When I got warm, I just pulled them down.

Tricia ~ It's hard to find truly good friends. I've made many of them in the time that I moved down here but many of them have moved away. :(:( I'm glad that I have 2 of my sisters down here. With all the stuff happening with my parents, we have become really good friends.

Good luck on Insanity. I'm going to start STS at the beginning of December. I really want to see what results I'll have since I've never done a lifting rotation before. I figure it's the best time to do it since it will be dark and chilly at night.

Alisha ~ Running on the beach can be smelly. Yuk! Hope you have better luck down by the river.

Jane - I've seen the arm warmers, but always thought long sleeves were just as good! Why pay twice for one shirt? I do see the advantage when it's cool, but not too cold, of being able to pull them down! Long sleeves will only go up so far!

I'll be doing an STS rotation again after Insanity, so I'll be a month behind you! You should see some good results!
 
I'm home now and I'm looking at the weather, it looks like sunny and cool for the next ten days. Thats perfect for running weather. I will probably do MMA KB today, I wasn't really set up to do a run this morning. This morning I was dreaming about bread pudding before I woke up. mmm. pudding. oh dear, why do I have to think about food when I'm sleeping? :eek::p
 
We had a beautiful weekend weatherwise so hopefully you all to the East will get some now too!

Too busy or tired to workout this weekend - 4 days without a workout. UGH!

15 Swings
10 Jump Squats
5 Mr. Spectacular


We are having beautiful weather but I wish the mornings were a tad cooler. We had temps in the 30's this morning. I still haven't put the heat on yet though. It's suppose to be a little warmer later in the week.

Yesterday I did BBL Bum Bum and Bum Bum Rapido and Namaste yoga and Ellen Barrett's Slim Sculpt. Today I walked the dogs and I'm going to lift tonight when I get home.

How is everyone else doing?

The nights are plenty cool here. I had three inches of snow from Friday evening that only got around to melting yesterday. I still have patches in shady places and ice on the steps.

Hi everyone!

Alisha - I dream about food (usually candy and other sweets) every now and then, but insanely! I'll go to the grocery store with a cart and just run my arm down the shelves and dump everything in it! LOL! THAT's a food dream!

Cindi - I really do hope we get some of that nice weather! I don't think we've seen the sun for 5 days! We actually had a bit of snow this morning!

Jane - You can have our temps if you want them!

Well, I did my Insanity Fit Test today. I'm still dripping sweat! Yep, sweat running down just from 1 minute each of the following with 1 minute rest:

Switch Kicks - 65
Power Jacks - 50
Power Knees - 106
Power Jumps - 39
Globe Jumps - 8 (these are making a box)
Suicide Jumps - 12
Push Up Jacks - 14
Low Plank Oblique - 44

You can see where my weaknesses are! I was going to post this in WM, but it seems to be down right now! Tomorrow begins the real work!
 
I skipped my workout yesterday, I just didn't have the oomph. Luckily, I work at home a lot so I can do things like today, schedule Cathe for mid morning when I'm really awake. Today is CW as produced. I don't normally lift weights a lot, I'm more of a body weight type gal but I thought I should shake things up a bit.

Tricia- That is a serious food dream!

Lisa- Its a lot colder where you are, we are only seeing the low to be around 40 degrees. No snow/precipitation either.

Jane- We resist turning the heat on unless its cold around the piano, its wood and expanding/contracting is not good for it.

Hi Everyone!

I'm doing an upper body workout tonight but I'm not sure which one. I'm trying not to kill myself before my half on Saturday. I actually only did 3 rounds of the workout yesterday.

Tricia ~ Oops! I said the wrong thing...I actually wish it was WARMER in the mornings!! I'm already hating the dark and cold evenings.

Great job on the Insanity Fit Test! Those workouts are tough! Let me know how you like the rotation.

Lisa ~ Snow already? Yikes! Hope you had a good workout last night.


We had to take mom to her primary doctor this morning because she's been having dizzy spells. The doctor wanted to check her blood pressure although he said it was fine. He thinks it's the meds that the oncologist put her on post chemo because that's when the dizziness started. The oncologist thought it was her blood pressure. So she is off those meds for week to see what happens. She is still planning to come to our 1/2 marathon on Saturday. It's only an overnight trip. She is really looking forward to it. She hasn't been anywhere in years!!

Hi Ladies!

Alisha - I wish I could work from home! My best workout time is around 11 a.m. or 2 p.m.! Most energy at those times of the day!

Jane - Right! Don't push too hard this week! I want to see a PR on that half this weekend! ; ) I hope the docs straighten out your mom's meds! That has to be miserable!

I survived my first Insanity workout last night! Man! I started getting tired around the push up segment! After that you hold planks and do ski abs and in & outs! My arms were screaming! I'm still not burning tons of cals, but it i s quite intense! I'll keep you posted!

Have a great day today! We're still rainy and cloudy. Supposedly, we're going to start clearing up later today - yeah, right. It's been a week with no sun.

I did do CW yesterday. I'm ready to go out for a joggle and later its some yoga. I just have to turn up my ipod. I think its in the car.

Tricia- Frankly, I don't have the guts to try insanity. Or rather, maybe I have too much guts?

Hi ladies!! Ran about 3.5 miles Monday. Rest yesterday becuase Paul performed in his first school play. A lot of fun!

Hi Everyone,

I'm doing a short run this evening - probably about 3 miles. The last one before my 1/2. Then I'm resting Thursday and Friday.

Mom is doing much better now. She feels great and is excited to be getting out of town for a fun overnight trip.

Tricia ~ Congrats on surviving Insanity!!! They are pretty crazy workouts but fun too! You always feel totally worked out afterwards.

Alisha and Cindi ~ Have fun on your joggles!
