Evening ladies!
Jane - What a workout! Yowza! I hate steep hills! There was one right before the end of the MCM 10K/Marathon and I started it running, but had to walk a bit then finished it running. That sucker was hard! At least your hill was midway! I didn't get a downhill recovery though. Yeah, I don't trust traffic here either. Too many people texting and driving and just not watching where they are going!
Alisha - Glad you got a workout in the other day, but darn on the foot owie! I've stepped on glass before. No fun! That thing hurt even after I got the glass out and it still felt like there was something there for a couple of days. Glad it was better today. Sorry about your brother and mom both being sick! Hope they are better soon and you don't end up with anything! There's way too much illness out there right now. I love my green smoothies! I wish I had a juicer too! Would love to grow and juice wheatgrass! It's so great for you! It's expensive to buy wheatgrass and you really can't just eat it. It needs to be juiced.
Got my workout done today. Did All Out HIIT and Core 1. I'll do better starting next week since Stephen will be in school. The workouts are short enough that I should be able to just about finish before he gets home on his early days. Yes, he will still have night classes this semester. Starting next fall, he won't any more! Yay! No classes either! Woo-Hoo! Just research and teaching.
Anyway, I made a turnip soup in my Vitamix for lunch yesterday and it was awesome! I'd never had turnips before and was skeptical. I must say the recipes Brandi comes up with for these 28-Day Raw Foods on a Budget Bootcamps are wonderful! I just cut up my turnip and pear in the morning and put them in a baggie and measured out the remaining ingredients in a bowl before leaving for work in the morning, then, at lunch, just threw it all in the blender and - Voila - in just a minute, I had a nice warm, raw soup. It was filling and held me over all afternoon. I'm glad I did her first bootcamp! Now, I get a year's worth for free and can keep getting the recipes! Quick and easy is her motto and I love it!
Okay, I'm going to go try to stay warm. I still have half an hour before the babies get fed, then I can eat! Salmon tonight! Yum!
See you tomorrow!
