Hi girls! Sorry, sorry, sorry! I missed so many days!
Jane -

Yay Vitamix!

You're going to love it! Right now, my favorite green smoothie is a few collard leaves, 2 apples, 1 or 2 dates 1 banana and as much water to blend it to your desired consistency. I like mine a little on the watery side. When they're too thick they kick back and dump in my lap. Not pretty! My other fave is kale or spinach, pineapple (fresh cut) a sprinkle of cayenne pepper, sometimes a kiwi and water.
Great kick butt workouts this week Jane!
Alisha - I know I will warm up once I get started! lol It's just getting there! Ha, ha! I've been doing better! Almost done with week 2 of XTrain. Loving all the workouts except I hate doing legs! At least Cardio Leg Blast is short! Hard and exhausting, but it moves fast. The other leg workout does too, but it's longer. I'll being doing that one tomorrow. Today is my rest day. Stephen is in the kitchen making sushi for dinner.
I had a fabulous raw meal last night! It's from my raw food bootcamp I'm taking. I had a squash riced in my food processor with rice vinegar, cinnamon, salt and chopped garlic. I think that's all. Maybe a hint of honey/agave. Spicy almonds - slivered almonds with 1 tsp of stoneground mustard, salt and agave. Delish! Kale salad made with rice vinegar, salt, hemp seeds, chopped avocado and olive oil. The meal had a lot of salt, but at least it was sea salt and I controlled how much I used in each. I'll definitely be making this one again!
All in all, it's been a good week! It's supposed to rain tomorrow, but be in the 50s! Pretty and nice on Sunday, too, so I'll be taking the camera out for a stroll somewhere.
Alisha - I'm glad I don't have to worry about socks anymore! I just throw my Vibrams on!
The camping trip was crazy! He carried a 50 lb. pack and wore my snowshoes and he still fell a few times from sinking through the powdered snow in spots. He had a walking stick with him too! His phone battery froze up on the second morning so he couldn't call/text me and I couldn't track him until he was in the car on the way home and it had warmed back up. He is one crazy man!

He enjoyed it though, go figure. He's very sore now, but slowly recovering. He got home around 9 p.m. Wednesday night. I really can't believe this whole week got away from like this! Last night, I worked out, then washed dishes and prepped my dinner, cooked Stephen pasta for his spaghetti and by the time I sat down to eat it was almost 8! That's what's so hard about working out at night now! Each item in my meal didn't take long to fix, but having to follow the recipe slowed me down and DANG IT ALL squash is hard to cut and peel! If either of you have any hints, I'll take them! That took the longest! Just getting the darn squash ready to process! Whew!
Anyway, have a great night and a wonderful weekend!
Any races this weekend Jane?
