Jogglers December 2013

Hi Ladies,

Christmas was nice. My sister and I slept over at mom's on Christmas Eve. They both fell asleep at 8pm so I watched Christmas in Connecticut with Barbara Stanwyck. I love that movie but my favorite Christmas movies are White Christmas and Prancer. They both woke up a 10pm and we talked for a while and then went to bed. Christmas we just hung out and ate, played cards and worked on a puzzle.

My favorite holiday treats are Fannie May Candy (I used to work there) and homemade Christmas cookies. I have lots of favorites. My favorite Christmas Carol is It's Beginning to Look A lot Like Christmas because it reminds me of my dad.

I did not workout until yesterday. I did an upper body workout. This morning I did a 5 Round workout with 25 Elephants, 25 push ups and 25 weighted sit ups and took a walk around the block. My ankle is better. The swelling is gone and the bruising as turned a lovely faded yellow and green. It's aches from time to time but it might be from the weather. It has been cool, damp and cloudy.

On Thursday we got our new doors. The guys were here all day on Thursday. I love them. They look so nice and they did a great job. My sister was here and helped me organize my living and dining rooms. She is very talented that way. Yesterday I spent the morning running errands and taking mom to get her hair done. Today was nice day at home relaxing.

Alisha ~ I'm so happy you are feeling better. It's always good to get some new socks and clothes. I am going to Costco tomorrow. We are also going to Whole Foods, Traders Joe and another health food place.

Tricia ~ I'm glad you had a great Christmas. Dinner sounded wonderful.

Jane- I like your favorites. Good job on your workouts. I'm glad you had a good holiday.

I had a quiet day. I'm not yet ready for real workouts yet, but I was able to go grocery shopping.

I did call the car donations place and my car will be picked up tomorrow :( I know I have to do it, I can't afford to insure a car I'm not driving and I can't afford to get it fixed. Its hard to give up my first car, I've had it since I was 20. Jeez. Ok, enough feeling sorry for myself.

Wuuusaaaaa.

Happy New Year's Eve Eve.

Happy New Year's Eve Eve ladies!

Alisha - I know you're ready to get back to workouts! I hope you continue to feel better every day! I know you're sad having to give up your car, but they are a $$$ drain if you aren't using it every day. I often wish I didn't need one.

Jane - Glad you had a lovely Christmas! I didn't work out hardly at all last week either. It must be nice having new doors. We need new doors, but the door frames also need to be redone. This house settles a lot and the doors don't fit right anymore. There are gaps. I know that'll cost a fortune that we don't have. Sigh. Sometimes, I wish we had just rented. No upkeep costs!

Started STS today. I even did the extended stretch! We are supposed to get a big storm this week. I just hope it doesn't ruin our plans to see Wicked on Thursday night! I got good prices on the tickets, but it's still a good chunk of cash if we can't go! Holding my breath and keeping my fingers crossed! After the snow, we're supposed to get really, really cold, too. Sheesh! Enough already! Winter officially has only been around for about a week and I'm already done with it! 3 more months. Ugh!

Jane, I thought about you on my way home from work tonight! I remembered that you said it was starting to get lighter out last week and I got happy that it had already been a week in and it should start showing pretty soon!

I just hope this storm isn't like the blizzard we had last year! Is it summer yet?

I have taken the pictures, I have gotten the paper work together, the guys will be here to pick up the car between 10 and 2 pm. I am dressed and I'm just waiting. I'm on the internet to entertain myself.

I will start exercising tomorrow. I'm thinking Shiva Rea. I really need to clean my room:p I have clothes everywhere:D How does Mt. Saint Laundry grow so fast?

Tricia- Great job on starting STS. Its such a huge commitment, I find it a little intimidating. You can have my weather, I promise I would share. I have sunny and highs of 68 deg. Its kind of perfect if it weren't for the fact we are in a drought.

Jane- Plans for tonight?

Alisha
