January Rotation - Mon Jan 9

Rest day is over with!! WAAAAA! Back to business.

I am doing HCXtreme #1 today and those 500 situps and 400 lunges  (I still think that's a misprint!)

Hopefully I'll be doing this between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. this morning. Our computer system is going down for upgrades so this is scheduled downtime which I am making up by starting at 3:30 a.m. this morning.

I did get in StretchMax #3 yesterday. It felt good.

Week two has begun!!!

Have a great day everybody!

Good Morning Jane and Hi everybody!!

I haven't been here in a while because I've been sick.
Wouldn't you know it, that I get sick the DAY we are starting the January rotation and I've missed it all so far!

I would LOVE to just jump right in and continue on with all of you, but there's just no way I can after being in bed so much and doing NOTHING. I lost 6 pounds and just feel very weak and tired, so I am listening to my body, which is SCREAMING, "start off Slowwwwly!!"

I'm not sure yet what I am doing, but was considering cardio & weights , with maybe all the cardio first and then the weights. I've done it that way before and really enjoyed it and I think that sounds better to me than switching quickly from cardio to getting weights and back.

If anyone has any specific suggestions for easing back into this rotation, I'd welcome them. I was thinking about taking a week and building back some endurance and strength and then trying to join back and just make it a 2 week Jan. rotation for me. But maybe there's a better way to do this.

Anyway.......I'm SOOOOOOO glad to finally be back! I missed my workouts and I missed all of you!:)

Becky, we sure have missed you. I'm so glad you're back. Your plan for today sounds good. Ease back in, ramping it up a bit each day. You'll be back up to speed before you know it. A 2-week January rotation sounds like a good plan.

Yes Becky, your plan sounds good. Just listen to what your body can handle. And rest & drink lotsa H2O too.

Today I'll either put on a HCX or a terminator and spinn' during all cardio. I see a lot of impact later in the week so I won't push it today. I'd really like to do KM tomorrow.

TTFN- got to bring kids to school.

Good morning all. Becky, welcome back and I'm sure you'll be up to snuff in no time.

I did Kickmax and the first combo/blast from Low Impact Step. I didn't have enought time to do it all. Let me tell you, my legs were fried after KM! I was so happy to stretch! I think tomorrow I'll do MM followed by the 2nd section of LIS, since I don't run.

Enjoy the day. Phyllis

Good morning,
Today I did The Viper, omitted the lunges and last chest part. I'll do the walking lunges and crunches or other core work when I get home from work. Just no time right now.

Thanks so much everyone for the encouragement!:)

I am very excited to say that I completed my workout and did a little more than I orginally planned. I did the cardio step premix of C&W, then added the premix heavy upperbody weights from C&W and then did stretching with the stability ball #2 from Total Body Stretching. All together it was about 55 minutes. I feel great....not exhausted or overworked, but I know I couldn't have done what you guys are doing today!!! NO WAY!!!

Hats off to all of you doing the killer Jan. rotation! Today's workout looks EVIL!!}(
I hope to be joining you soon!:7

Have a GREAT day everyone!!!! It's so good to be back!!

Glad your with us Becky! I'm about to do Imax Extreme in place of the Hardcore Extreme workout. :) Have a great day everyone.

Good morning everyone!

Didn't have HC Extreme, so I did Imax 3, which I missed last week. I also did ab hits.

Have a great day!

Becky- good job on doing your workout!

I chose Gauntlet for my HCX sub. It was pleasantly tough. I used the bike for all IMAX2 segments, and did 70 walking lunges for the last BC cardio of each segment. It took longer than a minute so I had to hit pause. Mentally, it was easier to put the walkig lunges in with the cycles. However at some times my legs were screaming.

I could only complete 400 various abs moves before my form suffered. I dd however choose many bicycles and hip lifts which are challenging to when I concentrate.

I'm so glad to have today's WO behind me! How about everyone else?

Good morning all. The rest day was so welcome yesterday. This morning I woke up refreshed and ready to go. The mild case of shin splints I was nursing last week seem to be gone (yay). I was toying with going with a Terminator workout this morning but stayed the course and ended up doing HC Extreme #2. All lunges and crunches are done too, but for those of you who haven't done their workout yet today you might want to put aside a little more than 90 minutes to complete everything. End to end it took me 1 hour 40 minutes.

Also I now know that I can do 15 walking lunges in my house before I have to change directions and go the other way LOL. My thighs were twitching afterwards so I guess it worked.

I don't have Kickmax or Low Impact Step so I will have to cook up a suitable substitution for tomorrow. Any suggestions? I have just about everything else Cathe has out.

I just finished my workout. Our computer system is still down at work so I had plenty of time to work out.

I did HCX #1 (the circuit). Before the stretch, I did 400 walking lunges without stopping, YAY!! (I put on my MP3 player and listened to music, this helped!), then I started the situps. HA! Just add that to the list of things I need to work on. I didn't get far. I hooked my feet under the couch and started but only got about 20, boy those things are harder than crunches!!

I then reverted to crunches, 100 regular, 100 left oblique, 100 right oblique, 100 reverse, and finished with 100 regular.

The whole thing took me right at 1 hour 40 minutes also.

Boy am I glad I'm done for today!

Good afternoon ladies,

I've been trying to post this all morning--something must be wrong with my account:-(. Anyway, I did HCX program 1 (circuit) and it kicked my butt! I had to restart a few intervals but I pulled it off.
I did the ballet segment of my Prevention Dance dvd for lower body and I only did 50 sit ups. At least that's 10% of the total:) --I had no intention on doing 500;-)maybe some other time.

Have a great day,

Katrina

Good morning everyone.

Today I did Kickmax. I put 400 walking lunges before the leg conditioning drills. My legs feel fried. I walked my daughter to school (30 minutes round trip and pulling my son in the sleigh). I'll be doing the walk again later today so that's my substitute for the Low Impact Step cardio.

Some possible substitutions for KickMax would be KPC/LG premix that's about 80 minutes long or Cardio Kicks. Low Impact Step substitions would be cardio only from Cardio & Weights or 30 minute premix from LowMax.

Have a great day everyone!

Hi folks! I joined in for one day & man oh man. After a super intense w/o yesterday (KM blast challenge, high intensity drills KPC, bootcamp cardio & all of SS) I could only get through 100 lunges and half of CM1. Guess I should have done this after a rest day. I commend you all for doing this rotation day in and day out. Can you all still walk??? LOL. I LOVE LOVE LOVE HCEX 1. It really knocks my socks off :)

eeek I did the Gauntlet today- barely made it through. I got in 100 lunges, then my legs and tummy were both screamin. :) I'll have to get in the rest later on. keep up the hard work!!

-Tina

You guys are all AWESOME!!!!

Just reading the rotation is tiring me out and so many of you are sticking with it and going the distance!

Just wanted to say 3 CHEERS FOR YOU!!!!:D

Thanks so much for the suggestions Alhambra! I have all those DVDs. I think I'll cue up the KPC/LG premix and the Low Max premix for tomorrow.

I survived! I decided not to do a Cathe vid today for cardio and instead did my NordicTrack for 45 min(5.5 miles) then my 400 lunges and 500 abs! I alternated 100 lunges, then 100 abs. I was so happy when I completed number 400!! My legs were so shakey! I can't wait to see how I'll feel in the morning. I plan to stretch extra long tonight. Take care all - Susan

I came home from work and did 200 crunches is all. No lunges. I'm always looking forward (have a Spinerval scheduled for Wednesday after work) and I'm afraid my legs will be too tired to do it. What a wimp I am... Maybe that's why I don't progress as much as I think I should. I hate fatigued legs when I cycle. Sigh.
