January 2018 Damage Control

I've decided to do the BR 30 Day Real Time Challenge again. I see the most results with this program and like to do it a few times per year. It
's versatile enough to mix in with other w/o's. I'm looking at combining that with the Strong & Ripped rotation and using BR on the cardio days. I did the RTC Day 1 this morning. Well right now we are sitting at owing around $2500. Once I have the rest of my documents that number will go down and maybe even get us a small refund. We never get much back any more now that we don't have many deductions. I even put in an additional $50 per paycheck to federal taxes. I'm having to keep a close eye on our account since it much lower than usual since I decided to pay off those 2 loans. I'm sure it will recover just fine.

Nice job with TBTS!! Walking to the library sounds like a great way to enjoy your rest day. Good luck on getting a refund. I agree with your outlook on the book, some drastic changes are coming.
 
I was down 2#'s at my weigh in today! I was happy about that. It's slow going but at least its going. Today is a rest day. Had my foot Dr. apt today too. There is another surgery in store for me. She said it was hurting so much because one of the screw is IN the joint. Not only is this causing the pain, it's also part of the reason for the lack of mobility. There is also scar tissue and arthritis. Now I just have to talk to HR and find out what my options are. She does surgeries on Wednesday, and I would like to also take Thursday and Friday off-and get paid for it. Stiches come out in 10-14 days and then I can resume my activities as the pain allows.
My weekend clean/organize is my office-again. I never got to it last weekend since I spent one day with my MIL.

Wow-having surgery is never fun. I'm glad you found out what needs to be done, though. Thursday we did our taxes-one less child to deduct really reduces the refund! I had PT and need to do low impact. I did PHA after PT. Friday was the pool before work and yesterday I did the High Step Circuit-a beginner lower impact workout. It was not a challenge at all, but work was. I had all 60 people to tend to last night-very stressful and I got home very late. Today I slept until 9 and don't think a workout is in the cards before work. 2 people called off yesterday and may do so again tonight. Monday it's back to PT to reevaluate!

We still owe on our taxes. I tried to deduct the tuition for our 21yr old, but we can't. If we had that, we would probably break even or possibly get some money back. Oh well, it is what it is. I was hoping for a refund to help cover the student loans I just paid off. Well yesterday I did a BR w/o and then Ramped UB. I tweaked my back and am icing it this morning. I did a few stretches and will keep alternating the ice with stretches throughout the day. Walking usually helps the most when I hurt my back. It's snowing and icy out so that just leaves the elliptical. I may give it a try later, with no incline or resistance and see how it feels.

PHA is a tough w/o IMO. It just moves so quickly. Even if the w/o was challenging, at least you were moving your body. Oh my, what a stressful night you had. Hope tonight is less stressful for you. Hope you get the all clear at PT.

Is your back feeling any better? It's snowy and icy here, too. I want to wear the weight vest and walk! Monday I had PT and had just muscle tightness on the right side (original side). I told him what I'd done (PHA, pool, and LI Circuit) He wants me to try a kickbox on Wed.-day before next appt. He said he wants to try to get me back to jumping and all activities one more time. If my hips can't hold it, then he'll recommend all low impact. I'll tell you though after how bad it feels doing impact I would give it up to feel good all the time. So the goal is back to higher impact, but we'll reevaluate Thursday and next week probably.

Yesterday I came home and did Lean Legs and Abs with the barre for a good lower body workout. Today is still TBD-maybe pool or Slow and Heavy Chest/Back. Tomorrow ICE kickbox.

I ordered more RX bars for my night time snack at work. Still trying to drink lots of water and eat clean. How is the WW program? Do you log your foods in to the computer?
