+++It's Tuesday and we're still MELTING!+++

Oh, what a beautiful bird, and what a great photo of it you took, Tneah! Is that a heron? We have herons on the lagoon near our house, and our development is actually named Heron Bay. Sea birds are so lovely! :)

Hi, all,
I'm sorry to say that I'm in the same funk with Shelley & Robin! I'm posting from DD's laptop because my computer would not turn on this morning. The IT guy from DH's office is coming over later to salvage it (I hope -- fingers crossed, prayers said, etc., etc.). My new washer will arrive in the morning -- whoopee! I really don't like spending money on stuff like that. The guy from the elliptical store told me yesterday that I just have to live with the console issue -- it's just the way it is. And the guy from the furniture store said today that we will *probably* get a new red leather chair. So, except for my computer, I guess all my problems are solved. Why don't I feel better about any of it?

I didn't work out this morning because my DDs and I had to volunteer at Reading is Fundamental. I'm about to go do a beginning step workout with them, then I'll do S&H legs & shoulders if I feel like it. I don't really feel much like working out right now.

Sorry to be a downer! I'll try to keep reading your posts, but I'll keep my yuckness to myself.

Kristi -- Glad you're feeling somewhat better! Please don't keep it all to yourself -- you know we're happy to listen!! I hope that everything gets straightened out with your laptop, elliptical, chair, washing machine, etc. You just have too much going on right now, chica! Sorry that everything is so chaotic! {{{HUGS}}}!!!

Shannon -- Just sent you an email from DH and me about the Prius. :) Have you test driven it or the Yaris yet? That article you posted on the OD was so great!

Hope everyone is doing well this hot afternoon! :)

Leanne, I love that idea!:) Your so smart.;) Lets do it! Do not laugh at me though, since I have never tried the kettleball, will need to do that workout I just bought to get used to it for sure. I just looked at the class schedule...there is an instructor named "Jesus', maybe thats the class I should take, a little help from a higher power never hurt right? Ha! Just kidding, I know that isn't how you say it, its more like "hey-zeus" or something right? You pick the class and day!

I am not sure what sort of bird it is, I was hoping our resident bird watcher might know.:)

Kristi, ah not you too? Something is in the air for heaven's sake. I am ready to make a big pitcher of margarita's and have 'em shipped to you, Shellers and Robin today.:7 You don't feel better cause everything is sorta "half-assed" you know what I mean? You are not getting any really good news, just sort of a *shrug* which is infuriating! It is cute your DD's workout with you, I love that!:+

Georgie is having ear problems--big ears like his always have something gross lurking inside, I just finished wiping tons of gunk out of them--ewww, gross! Today is actually really "chill", not alot to do since I did it all yesterday, just getting the boat clean today for our guests arrival tomorrow morning.

Of course I will be back later gators...

Hey Tneah -- LOL about Jesus! That might be a good idea to call on his higher power to help us out! I'll check out the schedule more closely and see what might work for us. If not, maybe we could meet and take a power walk and get lunch! It'll just be great to meet in person! Poor Georgie! Hope his ear gunk gets better!:)

So BIL ran out to run some errands (he actually just got back), and I had a meltdown while he was gone. I sort of flipped out b/c BIL had told Mike that he was going to see a movie today (which he ended up not doing, I guess). Excuse me, but why the heck isn't he out looking for a job???? He spent one hour at the temp agency yesterday, and spent one hour looking at the Help Wanted ads a week ago -- and that's been it. This is exactly what I knew would happen -- he would hang out all day playing video games with Mike and doing nothing. Anywho, DH agreed to talk to his brother again tomorrow if he hasn't started sending out his resume, and DH agreed to possibly give his brother a time limit as far as how much longer he can stay with us. Great -- I'm on my computer upstairs, and he just came up to play XBox. This is SOOOOO not good.

And I'm totally bummed b/c my new Nike cargo pants came, and they don't fit. The waist is fine, but they don't fit around my HUGE rear end. I suck. x(

I'll try to BBL. Our friends Paul and Pete (the ones who got married a few weeks ago) are coming over in a bit and we're going to either order pizza or maybe go out.

Can I join the margaritas group? I think I need one, too! ;-)

*yawns* Hi all. Just finished the extended premix of NapMax Xtreme. I don’t know what my problem is! I feel like I’ve been run over. Got out, ran some errands, came home, and promptly slipped into a coma until JUST NOW. I’m so lethargic and groggy. What’s up with all that???

Kristi – Hate to hear you’re down too! I like Tneah’s margarita idea… perfect cocktail for this heat, no? Can I come??? Extra salt on mine please, I’m not retaining NEARLY enough water. :7

Tneah – you are freakin hysterical. You just get that higher power with that kettlebell… but watch it – we all know your strength Ms “I broke the dinghy!” :7 You 2 are going to have a blast! I can’t wait to hear the details. Cool bird! You got pretty close! :D Georgie is lucky his momma is so attentive to his needs!

Leanne – I’m sure you hate it that DH feels terrible about this, but it probably would actually make it much much worse if DH had no problems whatsoever with BIL acting the way he is. At least the 2 of you are united!!! You have each other for strength. Does he ever talk to BIL about it? This too shall pass… let’s just hope it passes quickly. ;)

Oh – just read your latest post! YAY on DH talking to BIL. And lady, you don’t suck! Let’s not have that kinda talk. You’re talking about my buddy, now – and them’s fightin words. Your waist is just too tiny for those pants, it’s not that your derriere is too large. They just aren’t cut for someone with an itty bitty waist! ;)

See I need to come over and be my sometimes "sarcastic self" with BIL. Yes, my evil Gemini twin can be very, very snarky, and it ain't pretty!}( What a loser, I am sorry, this situation has to be changed really soon, it will start effecting your marriage and that simply cannot happen! The jerk.I hate that DH plays video games with him too, that bugs me. That is dangerous, what are they both 5 years old again? Video games are great, but not when BIL does it all day long and eats your food, mooching off you guys. Sheesh.

Oh and the about Nike. Do not sweat it! I swear to god Leanne, their sizing is totally different for every single pair of workout pants/cargo's they make! Which is why while I love their stuff cause its so cute, I have learned not to get disappointed when something does not fit right. You most certainly DO NOT suck, its just the way they cut that particular pair. Ask Lainie, she has the same issues with Nike. Which cargo's did you get? I have a black pair that they do not make anymore, I think you can get them in brown still...they run weird, I have a small and a medium...the small is tighter but fits better for just kicking around, the medium is nice a roomy, better for workouts. Just send them back and maybe try the Zumba pants? I ordered a medium and they fit cute, not too tight or too loose-I personally think they run a little small around the waist, that or I am just more squishy right now!:7
But even with those, I have a grey pair that seems to be bigger, and the black which fits tighter, the same exact style!

*passes a pitcher of margarita's to Leanne* You might need the whole pitcher chica--here ya go!:7

Tneah - just saw your post over in the OD on Shannon's article thread. ITA. My dad always introduced me as his "ugly daughter" and never missed an opportunity to tell me I was fat (which I wasn't). He would also criticize my walk, saying "models don't walk like that." Funny how that stuff sticks around...

I might have to try those Zumba pants! I've been hearing a lot about them lately. :)

Hey BG! Sorry I missed ya! The pants are fabulous, like I said though, I felt like they were a bit tighter in the waist then I like, but again, it could just be my "squish".:) Lovely parents huh? So hard to erase those voices. My dad simply ignored me.But now we are cool. I am sure you are one fine foxy female, so take that daddy-o!

Leanne, real quick, I feel like I need to make sure you know I was not bashing your DH at all, its his house, your honey, he gets to do what he likes. I just meant I am concerned he is sorta "enabling" BIL by playing with him.

Oh, I love you ladies!!!! You are so awesome for my self-esteem!

Tneah -- I LOVE the idea of you coming over here and being all sarcastic to BIL! Of course, you are SUCH a sweetheart that I don't see you ever being mean to anyone! Thanks for the kind words about the Nike pants. I ordered the camo capris and another pair that were on sale. I tried on the camo ones again, and I guess they don't look *too* tight. I'll have to see . . . . I should check out those Zumba pants! They are so cute . . . and don't let me hear you say anything about any belly squish! Seriously, babe, you have no fat on you at all!!

BG -- Thanks, too, for the sweet, sweet words! I appreciate it!! OMG -- I can't even believe that your dad used to say those things to you! That is so awful! What is up with crazy family members saying mean things to us?! {{{HUGS}}}!

*Takes a laaaarge swig from the margarita pitcher and passes it on to the next Melty Maiden in need . . . .*

Yo dudettes. I'm back and chillin' for a few minutes before I have to get up and clean house a bit. I did a rather short workout today (just the step from SJP), but I was a bit pooped after our busy morning and ortho apptmnt. That's all I'd planned anyway (knowing I'd be pooped) so I am still on plan, at least. I've got some big DOMS from yesterday's S&H Chest & Back workout. Ouch. Mainly chest. It actually hurt to drive today--my chest hurt when I turned the steering wheel. Yikes. It also gave me some twinges when I had to use my arms during the step workout.

I'm wearing my new flowery pajama pants now. :D

Deb, sorry your morning plans didn't quite work out!

Peggie, yeah, I was a little bummed the halters didn't work better. The main problem is I couldn't figure out how to support my boobs properly while wearing them. ***sigh*** So is your treadmill working again? Was that just a one-time stoppage when it stopped on you?

Shannon, happy you did some successful jumping with your calf! I have to admit I have totally ignored my knee issues lately...I have stuck with a 4" step but otherwise I've just done what I wanted. It's only been sore a couple times, though.... One of my blog readers just wrote me asking about it because she has a similar knee problem and I feel silly to admit to her that I just quit going to therapy and haven't done anything to help it lately.

Shelley, I'm so sorry you're in the doldrums still. I can only extend more squishy (((((HUGS))))) to you, sweetums.

Tneah, adorable little bird. Hope you enjoy your time to chill today before the guests arrive. Oh, and send a margarita my way, too--that would feel good on the sore teefies.

BreckGirl, I don't think they changed my arch wire; they put on a couple brackets that they hadn't put on before (well, actually, they tried them the first time but they popped off pretty soon and had to be removed until now). Then they did some other fiddling with the brackets and wires. Actually, not sure what they did; I just endured. :)

Leanne, I hope your DH can talk to his bro. and you won't have to endure this too long! There's nothing worse than not being completely at home in your own home! Feel free to vent and don't feel your issues aren't unimportant. I totally get the bra thing, too, though I wait pretty late to take my babies out of their slingshot because I don't want them hanging too low. I actually think they're holding up pretty well after 2 babies, but gravity does work it's damage. And you DO NOT suck, silly girl. Nike just didn't make those pants for a normal body! I have both the M and the L and neither fits quite right, but for the opposite problem--my tummy is a bit too big for the M (darn babies) but both are roomy otherwise. So I wear the L and tighten the waist-tie. I would rather have your issue of the tiny waist!

Allison, I didn't have trouble with my knees until after I hurt my ankle and stopped working out as much. Of course, apparently my knees were already off-center or whatever, but they didn't start creaking until then. That info is probably no help to you--I'm just sayin'. My PT said it might have been a factor--the favoring the ankle led to the knee trouble. Man, I wish I could wear those built-in bra tops--never enough support for my girls. x(

Robin, sorry to hear you're feeling so crappy! (((((HUGS)))))

Kristi, eek, not you, too! More (((((HUGS))))) to you, too, chica!

Do you know--it takes me soooo long to write these messages (particularly with little boys interrupting a lot) that I usually have to copy everything, go back and refresh to see who's posted while I was typing, then go ahead and post. Sad, really.

Lainie – I have this great bra by Natori, that you can swing the strap (and it can be clear if you like) around your neck. Gives good support (though I’m not exactly as “gifted” as you are in that department :D ) You might get on the prowl for a halter bra. They’re out there – and you seem to have great shopping skills! Glad you have the right jammie pants size! I love lounging around in jammie pants!

Hi,

I did my workouts and that always helps me feel better -- I sweat out my frustrations! I did S&H legs & shoulders even though my rear delts were sore from KPC yesterday. That one also makes me sore in my "elbow pits" -- why is that? Is it tendon soreness from keeping my arms "en garde" for so long???

Tneah -- Can we just come join you on the boat for lots and lots of margaritas? You are so right about the half-hearted solutions I'm getting for everything. It's frustrating. It seems like everything you buy these days is of inferior quality to whatever you are replacing!

Leanne -- I'm so sorry about the BIL situation! That's so draining, I'm sure! YOU DO NOT SUCK!!!!

BG -- I haven't been on the OD to see the post you referenced, but I totally understand about those parental comments sticking with you. My dad would tell me I was "chubby" and I attribute a whole lot of my body issues to that.

Lainie -- I'm not good at remembering what people said in their posts, so I usually type my reply in Word so I can look at the posts, then I cut and paste once I'm done. Sadly, I don't have the excuse of distracting little boys.

Hi to everyone else!

I just called Nike (this was a big deal for me since I HATE talking on the phone in any way, shape, or form -- I'm super shy this way, too!), and the customer service dude said that he would ship the new sizes of the capris out to me for free, and then I can mail back the ones that don't fit! Hooray! Plus, the cargo ones are now on sale, so they'll refund me the difference. Happy dance, happy dance! I don't feel *quite* so sucky anymore.

Lainie -- I do the same thing while typing in personals -- I try refresh to see who else has added something. It's not sad that it takes so long! It can be hard to keep up with our big group when we're especially chatty! :) Another Melty Maiden with chest DOMS, huh? What is it with working the chest?? You're so cute about the slingshot. BG's right that there are some great halter bras that work really well. Do you have a Nordstrom near you? I swear by their lingerie department since they carry a great range of sizes. I've been wondering about your knees, but keep forgetting to ask you how they've been. Did you get that Step Mat yet? Be careful there, chica, since you don't want to be messing them up again!! OK, lecture done! ;-)

BG -- Waving "hi" again! I love jammie pants, too! Sigh! Did you get another Nap Max in today?

Kristi -- We were posting at the same time, and I wanted to say "hi"! How are you feeling this afternoon/evening? Glad that your workout made you feel better! I've always worked out for the stress relief just as much for the other physical health benefits. I'm worried about that elbow pit pain . . . do you use weighted gloves with KPC? If so, maybe try it without them. You could also try posting something over in the main forum to see if more folks can offer advice or suggestions. I'm sending you more {{{HUGS}}} since you've had to deal with so much this week!!

*Passes the margarita pitcher around again . . . .*

Hey Leanne - I despise the phone too. :p

Kristi - I get that "elbow pit" (LOL on the description - love it) soreness when I get serious biceps work done. Maybe you were REALLY en garde! With PASSION! Glad you got your frustrations all worked out.

Hey chicklets in need of margaritas. I am getting ready to try the kettlebell workout. I ran this morning, but didn't get to the gym at lunch, too busy, so thought I might as well try the kettlebell workout. If you all do not hear from me tonight that means something went drastically wrong, like I hit myself in the head or I broke my arm or I threw it through the TV. Anyway, BBL to give an update and chat. Missed you all today.

hey girls - Well, I survived the kettlebell workout. I found out I am much weaker on my left side, upper body. Lower body is pretty equal. On AOS Providence, the only thing I couldn't do was the windmills into an overhead squat. Not quite sure on the technique. I am sure I will be sore tomorrow and can feel where my forearms will probably bruise. Definitely a once a week workout though.

Leanne - I am definitely not a phone person either, much prefer e-mail. Don't sweat it about the roommate deal. No problem.

Kristi - Glad you got your workout in. That always makes me feel better too. Hope you get that freakin computer fixed soon.

Lanie - Too bad your tops didn't work. I bet you looked great in them. My treadmill has a mind of its own. Every once in a while when I push 6 on the speed it will just stop. The plug-in thing is right below the 6 and I think sometimes that triggers something. I usually try to just go up and down with the arrows. I was able to turn it right back on and finish my workout, but a little po'd nonetheless.

Tneah - I am so tempted to get those Zumba pants. Maybe they will go on sale some time. They sound sooo comfy. You are so active, which is great. I read the post about your parents too. Isn't it amazing how that happens. I have always had a negative body image. I think it started in around 9th grade when I was in gymnastics and I weighed 115 pounds and the coach wanted me to lose 10 pounds. Didn't take long for me and my best friend to become raging bulimics. Over it now, but she ended up having to get counseling.

BG - I just know you are not ugly or fat. When things like that happen, it is hard to have a positive attitude or positive body image. Hope you feel less tired.

Hi Shannon, Robin, Shelley and Allie. I hope I didn't forget anyone.

I need to eat. I am starving after that kettlebell killer. http://planetsmilies.net/angry-smiley-8006.gif

Peggy, oh what a kinky little icon thingy!}( Hum, oh dear, my mind is in the gutter again...:) Anyway! Have posted waaay too much today, but I do not care, love you guys. Sounds like your kettleball workout about did ya in...good girl for getting it in today. Its comforting to know that so many of us struggle with the same body stuff, which is why I always find it strange that women are so competitive with each other? I love women, and am all about supporting each other. I get intimidated by "perfect" women too, then I remember they have the same issues I do-or worse right? We are all alike when it all boils down don't you think?:)

Leanne, yippee on your "drawers" said more like "draaa-rrzzz" with a southern sort of drawl...:) I am the same way, hate the phone, just hate it. I hate my cell, but need it for my job and for all the other things you need a cell for. I think I text more than I talk, well, except for Mitch's mom.:7

Well we are having 16 people on the boat tomorrow morning! It should be interesting, I have to get cleaning pretty soon here. Then plan what i will wear, I know, I am strange like that.:7 I hate feeling uncomfortable and out of place in my clothes...

Oh, I was just walking Georgie and one of his doggy friends was out with his owner, who walked up to us smoking a joint!:7 In the middle of the park, how hilarious is that? I could care less about the joint, it was just so bold and funny to me.

Hope Robin gets to see her birdie picture today.:+

>Tneah - was THIS the guy?

BreckGirl - Too funny.

Tneah - I agree, we all have the same issues. But I love you all too and am so glad to be a part of this group. I feel so comfortable sharing with you guys.
BTW there a lot of kinky little faces on that planet smiles place. There are some even giving BJs. Hilarious.
