Yo dudettes. I'm back and chillin' for a few minutes before I have to get up and clean house a bit. I did a rather short workout today (just the step from SJP), but I was a bit pooped after our busy morning and ortho apptmnt. That's all I'd planned anyway (knowing I'd be pooped) so I am still on plan, at least. I've got some big DOMS from yesterday's S&H Chest & Back workout. Ouch. Mainly chest. It actually hurt to drive today--my chest hurt when I turned the steering wheel. Yikes. It also gave me some twinges when I had to use my arms during the step workout.
I'm wearing my new flowery pajama pants now.
Deb, sorry your morning plans didn't quite work out!
Peggie, yeah, I was a little bummed the halters didn't work better. The main problem is I couldn't figure out how to support my boobs properly while wearing them. ***sigh*** So is your treadmill working again? Was that just a one-time stoppage when it stopped on you?
Shannon, happy you did some successful jumping with your calf! I have to admit I have totally ignored my knee issues lately...I have stuck with a 4" step but otherwise I've just done what I wanted. It's only been sore a couple times, though.... One of my blog readers just wrote me asking about it because she has a similar knee problem and I feel silly to admit to her that I just quit going to therapy and haven't done anything to help it lately.
Shelley, I'm so sorry you're in the doldrums still. I can only extend more squishy (((((HUGS))))) to you, sweetums.
Tneah, adorable little bird. Hope you enjoy your time to chill today before the guests arrive. Oh, and send a margarita my way, too--that would feel good on the sore teefies.
BreckGirl, I don't think they changed my arch wire; they put on a couple brackets that they hadn't put on before (well, actually, they tried them the first time but they popped off pretty soon and had to be removed until now). Then they did some other fiddling with the brackets and wires. Actually, not sure what they did; I just endured.
Leanne, I hope your DH can talk to his bro. and you won't have to endure this too long! There's nothing worse than not being completely at home in your own home! Feel free to vent and don't feel your issues aren't unimportant. I totally get the bra thing, too, though I wait pretty late to take my babies out of their slingshot because I don't want them hanging too low. I actually think they're holding up pretty well after 2 babies, but gravity does work it's damage. And you DO NOT suck, silly girl. Nike just didn't make those pants for a normal body! I have both the M and the L and neither fits quite right, but for the opposite problem--my tummy is a bit too big for the M (darn babies) but both are roomy otherwise. So I wear the L and tighten the waist-tie. I would rather have your issue of the tiny waist!
Allison, I didn't have trouble with my knees until after I hurt my ankle and stopped working out as much. Of course, apparently my knees were already off-center or whatever, but they didn't start creaking until then. That info is probably no help to you--I'm just sayin'. My PT said it might have been a factor--the favoring the ankle led to the knee trouble. Man, I wish I could wear those built-in bra tops--never enough support for my girls. x(
Robin, sorry to hear you're feeling so crappy! (((((HUGS)))))
Kristi, eek, not you, too! More (((((HUGS))))) to you, too, chica!
Do you know--it takes me soooo long to write these messages (particularly with little boys interrupting a lot) that I usually have to copy everything, go back and refresh to see who's posted while I was typing, then go ahead and post. Sad, really.
