I got this DVD a few weeks ago after having only the version I'd recorded off of FitTV for a year.
I love the DVD! It seems like whenever I'm just not in the mood for cardio, I can put this in and before I know it, I've been exercising for 30 minutes. Time just flies! The music is great, too!
And tonight I hit a major milestone. See, I have exercise-induced asthma, so I have to suck on my inhaler before every workout. Still, I usually end up having to take breaks during cardio - just to catch my breath. I can keep it under control pretty well, but it always frustrates me when I can't do an entire workout. I get such a feeling of accomplishment when I can make it through an entire workout without resting.
Well, while I didn't make it through the ENTIRE Imax 2 workout tonight, I did make it through almost all of the first 25 minutes without stopping! I was so proud of myself! I usually only do the first 30 minutes (I'm working my way into it) and peter out for a breathing-break toward the end of blast #1, the middle of blast #2, the beginning of blast #3, but can usually get through the bulk of blast #4. Well, tonight, I made it through EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE FIRST FOUR BLASTS (except for the very end of blast #3) without stopping once. I was so proud that I did a little happy dance afterward.
I've noticed that as my muscle strength has increased, so has my cardio capacity. I wonder if their is a correlation between having more oxygenated and metabolic muscle and the increased cardio level???
