Wasting time while I wait for my iron to warm up. I hate to iron

Have to iron my skirt, or go to work nekkid. It's a nice, summery, light, yellow, cotton skirt. Which will promptly wrinkle as soon as I sit my butt in the car. I know you can tell the difference between washed and not ironed wrinkles and butt wrinkles, but I'm going to be wrinkly anyway.

Stupid, pointless chore!

On the other hand, wrinkly is kind of a fun word.

I own an iron and a board. If I use it once a year it's a lot. That's what they make dryers for!

I have a steamer and an iron and when I iron my clothes still look wrinkled! The steamer takes forever, so I am all for dry cleaning!

I don't iron anything. Ever. I just don't care enough. If my clothes are clean, I'm totally satisfied.

My SO, on the other hand, irons his clothes every single week. There's a reason his clothes look brand new and nice, and mine look as old and worn as they are .

You should try a steamer -- it's sooo much easier than ironing.

nan, for a second i thought you were posting about my belly! ahahahaaaa!

that said, i rarely iron either....only dh's sunday clothes. and i wait til allllll of them need to be ironed & make a day of it. sometimes he'll get tired of waiting for me to do it & take them all to baryames - i like that method!

I despise ironing too. I'm a horrible folder and I stuff so many clothes in my dresser that ironing is kind of inevitable.

Last week I was ironing a shirt and when I pulled the iron back, I burned my hip on it!! No I wasn't ironing in the buff, I was standing weird so my shirt rode up a little. Now I have a nice red scar across my hip. Cuz you know, the stretch marks aren't enough, so I needed something to draw some more attention there

Me, too! Only I don't even use mine once a year! What a waste of money that was! LOL! I either take my clothes right out of the dryer and hang the outer pieces that show or I shake them out and throw them on regardless. Most of my stuff doesn't wrinkle much anyway unless I leave it in the bottom of the basket and don't put it away for a week!

Please don't kick me out of your club! I iron almost everything including my tees I exercise in! I can't help myself. I used to iron twice a week but after years of realizing it all gets stuffed into a closet and comes out wrinkled, I finally quit ironing until the day I wear it. Worked out great cuz hubby started ironing his own stuff every morning too. Works for me!
