Is this ok to do w/ my workouts.....

Gyggles1

Cathlete
Here is what I have done the last 2 weeks for working out & I just want to make sure its ok to do. I don't want to over work my body or fatigue. I ust love doing weights more then just plain cardio but don't get me wrong I do like the Step Tapes too :)

Mon. PLB
Tue. PUB
Wed. ME
Thur. Treadmill
Fri. IMAX2

This week looks like this:

Mon. PLB
Tue. BC
Wed. PUB
Thur. C&W
Fri. Treadmill

I know you can't do PLB & say Legs & Glutes together right ? Or 2 lower body workouts back to back but I thought if it was circuit or intervals it was ok.

Thanks!
Laura :)

I'd separate ME and PUB. A slight shift would make:
Mon: PLB
Tues: PUB
WEd: Treadmill
Th. ME
Fri: IMAX2 (or even take Friday off and do IMAX2 on Saturday).

I wouldn't recommend BC between PLB and PUB, or C&W after PUB. You would have to go light on the weights (both upper and lower) for BC, and I think that kind of defeats the purpose of the workout. You'd also have to go light on the upper body weights in C&W if you do it after PUB, unless you do C& W cardio and lower body only.

How about:
Mon: BC
Tues: off
Wed: PUB
Th. PLB
Fri: Treadmill
Sat: C & W

Thanks for the different Ideas here........ this is so confusing for me.
I can do what you suggested..... I would like to keep my workouts Mon- Friday & take weekend off preferrably but if it won't work it won't work. I just enjoy these types of workouts over plain cardio.
Could this be why I am so wiped out - doing to much to close together ?

It's possible, especially if you are using more than just light weights (which is the most productive way to work out). I also like combo workouts, and it's a challenge trying to schedule them in with weight workouts.

If I take off two days a week, I personally prefer to take off two non-consecutive days per week to spread out my rest days more. Doing so might also help with your feeling wiped out.

Hi, Laura. I like Kathryn's suggestions. By putting cardio between the Pyramids and ME, you give your muscles a chance to repair and lay down lean mass before you go get them again. That means more muscle definition and less chance of burnout or injury. :)

How's your knee, by the way?

Hi
Thanks so much!
I think I will just throw more cardio in between the pyramids then maybe I can alternate weeks just doing the interval workouts with rest or cardio days in between. I am just trying to slim & tone.

My knee is feeling better, Thanks :) I think its the planks that are bothering me so I need to go on my knees for a while I guess.

Today I did the Treadmill so tom'w I will do PUB or something lighter.

Thanks again,
Laura =)
