Is STS really for weight loss?

I was just wondering because I am not losing any but I feel like I am making great strides in my fitness level.
I have been working out pretty diligantly for about 4 yrs (since I quit smoking..I know yuck) but although I did get leaner and a little more endurance, it seemed like I got to a certain level and then plateaued. Since I have gotten STS though, it seems like I am not only gaining strength but also gaing cardiovascular endurance. Although I am not losing any weight. Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining...I am just wondering if STS was intended as a weight loss program or more of a strength building program.?
I certainily am not disappointed:D
Thanks
Rachel

I think STS was primarily made for strength gains. Weight loss in any workout would depend on how you eat while doing the workouts. That is just my thoughts.

Hi Rachel! STS is designed to give you maximum strength gains and other bonuses such as metabolic boost, increased stamina, and denser/leaner muscle mass. Since lean muscle mass is active tissue and active tissue burns additional overall calories you will eventually experience overall body fat loss. Add in clean, healthy and sensibly eating and just watch those extra pounds fall off. Add cardio on top of that, and well, you might just disappear....just kidding of course but I think you understand what I'm saying ;)
