Considering getting an Ipod Touch (our family already owns a Nano and Classic)....can someone convince me to spend the dough?:p

Sorry, Heidi. I am too cheap. lol My older DS just got it this weekend for his BDay but only because his grandfather paid for it. Personally, if I were going to get something, it would be the iPhone but only because I totally believe in carrying ONE thing with ALL the uses...phone, music, vids, calendar, all the apps, etc. But again, I'm too cheap to even buy the iPhone! LOL No help, am I? ;)

p.s. I have the 80G classic and think I'm set for a loooooooooooonnnngggg time with memory space! LOL And THAT was a gift to me as well...no WAY would I have spent that kind of money!

If you have AT&T service I would definitely get the iPhone over the iPod Touch! The iPhone does it all! The last time I was up your way (I have family in that part of Ohio), they didn't have ATT service and it bummed me out in a big way that I couldn't use my iPhone .

The ipod touch is a thing of beauty. Truly delightfully designed, built from high quality materials, exquisitely engineered. It is the best ipod ever for the entertainment experience versus the other models. The touch screen is super precise and so ergonomically designed. The wi-fi featyres are neat for accessing intenet on such a portable device when at a public wi-fi hot spot.

Whether I would spring for one in your shoes (two ipods already in the family) would depend on how serious a gadget/video enthusiast I am (getting the ipod and not using it for video may not be worth it if you already have access to two other ipod models). It would also depend how extensively the two in the family are used.

Boy I sure want one of these (64G) to put some Cathe downloads on.

I'm hoping DH (errr...I mean Santa) got my hints, lol. :D

Ok, so I broke down and bought one...the 32 gig 3rd. generation.

This thing is *genius*!:D Awesome graphics, smooth, fast, fun...

I've downloaded some free apps and then some games, etc.

Now....any have recommendations for great apps? These can be games, fitness, nutrition, anything!

Yours in iPod love,
Heidi

We just got a Mac desktop and iPhones - I'm hooked!! I'm trying out the free OurGroceries app - so cool

I would get the iPhone! We have two right now. Apple is supposed to be finished with their exclusive contract with AT&T next year and are supposed to be opening up the iPhone to multiple phone services. It would definitely be worth the $$$ to get the phone rather than just the iPod Touch for that reason alone! We've had our phones since the 1st generation came out and have not been disappointed! My DH now has the 3rd Gen and I have his 2nd Gen. I also own an iPod Classic, DH has an iPod Shuffle and I got an iPod Nano (it was free) when I got him his Macbook Pro for his birthday this year! LOL! We are definitely Apple people! We have about completely converted! We have only one PC left and that's just for when we absolutely have to use Windows (shudder)!

I love my iPod Touch. So much more than a video/audio player! I use it as my pda, mobile gaming unit, video player, audio player, library (print books), notebook, everything except phone. I got the 64 gb version. If they let Verizon have the iPhone, I'd have gotten one of those, but love my iPod Touch. Completely worth every penny I paid for it.

I sure hope this happens! I have been waiting for the iPhone to become available to other carriers, namely Sprint since I still have 1-1/2 years left on my contract. However, I just bought a 3rd gen 32gb iPod Touch because my 1st gen classic finally died (one too many catching my headphones and flinging it onto the floor while working out:eek:) It is the coolest toy I've ever had.
