Interval max

Rhonda

Cathlete
I am wondering if others have split this tape up, doing only as much as you can each time. I want to conquer this tape but I know it will take a while to do the whole thing. Has anyone done like only five intervals and stopped or do you do them all while modifying?

Any suggestions,
Rhonda

Hi Rhonda, yes I've seen several posts where people stated that they only did a certain amount of intervals on this tape. Some have done a wt tape and then tacked on 5 intervals or done something else cardio-wise and then added some IM intervals. I have also seen a post or 2 re: doing only half of the tape. That's great! It's long, (60 min) I believe and half of this is a decent workout. It's hard so work up to it. You *could* just opt to go thru the whole thing and modify. It's easy to do that with this workout, also.

I LOVE IM. Good luck. Robin.

Took me a while too

Rhonda, As I built up to it, I did the whole thing and modified what I had to to get to the end. Each time I improved slightly. However...the last interval with those dang tuck jumps and freakin' flyin' jacks never look like Cathe's...nor will they ever;-).LOL

It did take me a fair amount of time with consistant workouts to get to do that tape as it was intended. I haven't done it in ages I know I couldn't do it now without some modifing. It's certainly a good gauge for building up your cardio endurance.

RE: Took me a while too

Hi,
I usually do IMax all the way through with modification on the last interval also. Cannot do those Flying Jacks or tuck jumps either. The other day I decided to do the first 5 intervals and then added on the step portion of MIC (that also has a blast at the end). Quite intense but it was fun.
