Intergrating the Terminator dvd into your routine....

Renee McFar

Cathlete
I got the Terminator dvd for Christmas. My problem is that I am not sure how to work it into my routine.

I love Imax Extreme for cardio work. I did Viper today for cardio and it was not hard enough. Fun? Yes. Hard? A little.

My exercise week is like this: 5-6 days of cardio. 2-3 days of strength sessions added to my cardio (usually the Pyraminds. ME or Power Hour). 1 circuit day, usually Bootcamp,Cicuit Max,SJ&P or C&W's. For a total of 7 days of exercise. No rest days (I hate rest days).

So, where do I fit the Terminator in? All these choices makes me crazy and stressed!!!! Help!!!

Thanks, Renee

Hi, I consider all of the routines to be cardio and so I fit them into cardio slots. Gauntlet and Viper are circuit but still cardio primarily and you can stay in your target heart range during the weight work if you move from one exercise to the next without breaking and letting your heart rate drop. IMHO Gauntlet is the toughest and Viper is the easiest.

I do Imax Extreme on an all cardio days and Gauntlet on a circuit day. Works every body part AND keep the heart rate up! I have yet to do Viper because I hear it is too easy. Her is my current rotation:

Monday-ME+40 minutes cardio
Tuesday-Gauntlet+Abs
Wednesday-IMAX Extereme+abs
Thursday-PLB+40 minutes cardio (maybe abs too)
Friday-PUB+40 minutes cardio
Saturday-IMAX Extreme or IMAXII+abs
Sunday- the most dreaded day of all...rest day;( ;( ;(

:D Thank you both for the advice. I was worried when Viper turned out to be so easy. My HR totally returned to normal during the weight segments. Maybe I should have kept stepping on the step while Cathe got her barbell ready. It's all in learning I guess!

I love your rotation!!! :)

If anyone else has advice, please keep it coming!!!! :)

I have this rotation:

Week #1:

The CTX series strictly as produced, one complete workout each day; an option is to add on the 10-10-10 hi/lo segment OR the Step Intervals interval segment at the end of each cardio segment for an intensity blast

Week #2:

Day #1: Terminator Gauntlet
Day #2: Body Blast Step Blast
Day #3: Terminator Viper
Day #4: MIS
Day #5: Terminator I-Max Extreme
REST

Week #3:

Day #1: Body Blast Kick Punch Crunch
Day #2: Body Blast Legs & Glutes
Day #3: Body Blast Step Pump Jump as produced
Day #4: Body Max warm-up and standard step only; then fast-forward to upper body section; complete upper body and abs
Day #5: CTX Kickbox kickbox segment; then PS legs segment
REST

Week #4:

Day #1: CTX Allstep; PS Back Biceps Abs
Day #2: Cardio & Weights
Day #3: CTX 10-10-10 cardio, substituting the Step Intervals interval segment for step section; then PS Chest and whatever else
Day #4: Terminator Gauntlet
Day #5: Body Blast Step Blast; MIS leg section only; then MIS abs
REST

That oughtta get you going.

Consider purchasing the Circuit Max / Cardio Kicks DVD; that has some unbelievable kick-butt everything on it!

Hope this helps!
