Interesting things about you

This is a fun thread to read, so I'm trying to think of more:

1. I have never, ever owned a new car.
2. I have an "extra" vertabrae
3. I have an extra row of eyelashes.
4. In 6th grade I was the 2nd tallest girl in my school, and now I shop in the petite department.
5. I'd rather be home than pretty much anywhere.

OMG...Nancy that's too funny! I have an extra vertabra as well. In fact, when I killed my L5 they weren't sure whether to call it L5 or L6...there's no such thing as L6! I wish I had the eyelashes, though. Mine are pathetic ;( .

Wendi-
I don't think it's actually an "extra" vertebrae; it's really just something else that's split in two: is it the coccyx or the sacrum? I forget which. But some doctors call it an "extra" vertebrae. Have you heard that too?

I've enjoyed this thread too much not to join in the fun. And, yes Arancini, I'm incredible jealous - I'm with Shelley, my magic number is most likely in the 100's of thousands.

- I'm a HUGE Harry Potter fan. We have THREE complete sets of the series (except book seven which isn't out yet) because I wore the first set out; and DD and I fight over the books, so now we each have our own. Plus all of the movies, plus I read all the forums and spend too much analyzing the plot and characters. Anyone up for an HP thread???

- Men with dark hair and blue eyes make me melt

- I love to sing, but don't think I do it all that well. I would love to take singing lessons just so I won't be embarrassed to sing in public (which I try not to do, but sometimes do anyways)

- DH is best friend and the best husband/father any woman could ever have, but secretly I don't beleive he's my soulmate. I wouldn't ever leave him, I just have that nagging feeling that I was supposed to be with someone else.

- I spend more time daydreaming than any other adult I know

- I don't like people who blame everyone and everything else for their problems. I believe you can make your own luck.

- I love to clean/hate to cook. However, I pay someone to clean my house, but do my own cooking. Explain that to me, please???

- I can't think if I'm surrounded by disorganzition.

- I passed the CPA exam on my first try, but never got my license. I just wanted to know I could pass the exam.

- If it wasn't for my DH and DD, I'd be a workaholic. They help me stay balanced.

- I have always hated physical activity until a year ago. I actually got a D in gym.

- I have had a tremoundously successful career, but I'm always afraid someone will "find me out" and realize I'm not all that smart.

Nothing too exciting, just stuff I don't normally tell people - except for the Harry Potter - that becomes obvious pretty quickly.

Let's see....

*I too am extremely shy, people tell me they thought I was a snob until they got to know me.

*For all you people who check the locks all the time... a few times I left the gargae door open all night, one time the front door wasn't closed all the way and it was a really windy night and by morning it was wide open... scarry. Needless to say, I check the doors at least twice before going to bed now.

*I am very religious, I pray at least an hour a day, study for an hour and read a few chapters in the bible.

*I too prefer to stay home and don't like large crowed places.

That's all I can think of atm.:)

Bobbi!! I chew ice and gum at the same time all the time! Even my daughter loves it too.....is it genetic?? She did it until she got braces, not she can't chew either one.....poor thing.

I have an awful habit of not locking anything.....my mind is sometimes too scattered to check these things! Car doors, house doors...eek. Drives my husband insane, cause he will check the same door he just locked at least four times before walking away. I am trying to get better.:) :)

99% of the time, I forget to turn the oven off. When I had an electric stove, I would forget to turn burners off. I also melted several kettles by turning the burner on with the kettle sitting on them. Oopsie!

I'm secretly convinced that if Johnny Depp were to meet me..... bye bye French chickie poo!;)

I bought Bazooka yesterday! My dental work hates it and I don't know it it's genetic but it is addictive. It makes you work so hard to get the gum soft again and that is uniquely satisfying.

Edits to laugh at Shelley and smirk at French chickie poo. And Shelley, they hve electric kettles that shut themselve off and they are wonderful for women who have burned out several whistling kettles because she couldn't stand the sound, left the spout open and then got sidetacked.

Nancy, actually they couldn't decide whether I had an extra thoracic or lumbar...so I'm not sure???? Interesting about the "split" theory though.

- I am pathologically shy and every day fight the urge to hide under my bed.
- I loathe talking on the phone and all my friends know not to call or to keep it brief.
- I'm addicted to IMing
- at one point in my life I almost converted to Islam.
- I worry about everything
- my high school was a Catholic, all girls boarding school run by nuns
- my favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird
- I don't like cheesecake
- I am TOTALLY OCD about many things.
- I was often mocked for my appearance as a younger woman and am nervous around men to this day because of it. Except DH and family of course.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming ‘Wow - what a ride!’ — Peter Sage

Shelley, I've melted plastic plates before due to lack of counterspace. I'd turn on the burner on which I set the plate, not the one on which I set the pan. Doh! These days all our plates are ceramic. :)

That is why I have a gas stove!! Sparrow- I loathe talking on the phone for another reason besides the horribly shy thing. I used to (and on occasion still do)stutter. It is a horrible thing and usually pops up when I am stressed....like talking to strangers on the phone......UUGHH.

Ok, this is my first post here, so here goes:

-I use to compete in figure skating and ice dancing up until my second year in college. I would go to the rink before school, change in the car on the way to school, and then go back right after school every day for years!

-I cannot sleep with the closet door open or my foot hanging over the side of the bed. Dad used to pull the old "boogy" man story on me and I'm still "scarred" from it! :) Oh, and only now that I'm married can I sleep on my stomach. I used to be afraid that someone was going to sneak up behind me! lol

-I cannot stand hearing/seeing people bite their nails, click their nails, chomp on gum, etc... Those gross little noises drive me nuts!

-I am a Potter freak and am counting the days until the next book comes out.

-Almost forgot - I'm a clogger and a member of a dance group.
