Interesting quote from Jillian

I'm reading her Master Your Metabolism book and really loved this quote

"A bad day for your ego, is a great day for your soul"

Hmmmmm- what do you think?

Well our egos are usually bruised over superficial things like not being thin enough or rich, or not being the most popular. So at times like that, it's an opportunity to look within and see what's really important.

that's my view.

I would agree with that. Having to deal with something that has hurt your ego requires tapping into your inner strength to get past it sometimes.

I agree too. The times in my life when my ego has taken a beating have always led to self-reflection and positive changes. :)

I totally agree with all of your thoughts! Queen Katherine was once quoted as saying if she had the choice of being happy all the time or sad all the time she would choose sadness. Because when we are sad, we turn to God, when we are happy, it's easier to ignore Him.

Now, that seems pretty extreme but still profound!

i agree, times are tough and its when one can find their strength to pull through. not to say i want to challenged all the time no matter what it is but it does make sense and i notice that in myself a lot too.

I have another quote from Jillian. My 22 year old DD was working out with one of her DVDs and Jillian says, "Come on, this isn't your mother's workout." DD said, "Phhhhhtttt, you haven't seen my Mother work out!"

love it! I've been told by my daughter that she can't do what I (exercise-wise) even though she's almost 1/2 my age. She's 25; I'm 51.
