Interesting article on what the nutrition gurus eat

My mom got me a subscription to this magazine called Eating Well, and I am really enjoying it. I was delighted this month to read an article called "What to Eat for the Rest of Your Life" in which the magazine interviewed 6 well-known nutrition experts on what they eat personally. It made me feel pretty good about what I eat! A few of the experts drink as much coffee and diet soda as I do, and most of them would like to lose at least 5 lbs.! Anyway, it's an enjoyable article and I found a link for it: http://www.eatingwell.com/articles_recipes/nutrition_images/what_to_eat.pdf
I highly recommend the magazine. It is filled with all kinds of interesting information for healthy eating and recipes that sound great for those who cook.

I love this quarterly magazine which emphasizes seasonal produce. The magazine is not loaded with recipes but they are so good that you want to make them over & over.

The fall issue lacked the nutritional articles that prior issues ran so I'm happy to read Nancy's post. This magazine is where I learned to look at the glycemic load vs just glycemic index of foods.

Thanks Nancy!

Doesn't it make you feel like you're doing quite alright?? Maybe I need to appreciate how well I've been doing all these years, instead of always focusing on what I haven't perfected! The same is probably true for many others on these forums.

I'm going to try to go into the new year with a positive attitude about myself. And for me, that's a tall order!

Happy holidays and happy new year to all of my wonderful pals on these forums!!:7 Be good to yourselves, and appreciate all of the many things you do to stay healthy, even if you're (gasp) LESS THAN PERFECT! :7

It does, Nancy. And it's gratifying to know that I can enjoy all the goodies that keep turning up around here without guilt and knowing that itjust needs to be balanced. Food makes life more pleasurable and that's a good thing! We are going out for Chinese tonight. It must be Christams Eve! Hey, Merry Christmas to all of you if we don't bump into each other today in the forums!

Hey, Bobbi, we're going out for Indian! Yum! Indian food has become a guilty pleasure for me and my DH about once a week now. Nice to know the nutritionists are pigging out too. I love Chinese too. Have a great dinner!
