Sorry I never got back for personals yesterday but I'm good for it this morning. :)

Lori:: I hear ya on needing space. I am big on that myself. I hope DS gave you a break so that you didn't have a break DOWN! :eek: Super strong woman...yeah, that's why I am always Shaun T. to stop! LOL Sorry about the hotel you are running. That would drive me batty. Again, it's a space issue for me! :eek:

Laura:: Yes, I know I know. I got the day wrong y'day. I tried to change it but as you can see it didn't exactly work the way it was supposed to. Oh well-y'all found it anyway so it's all good. lol Nice win for your SIL! I don't win very often but always have a blast anyway. :D

Jen:: Hey thanks for sticking up for me yesterday, girl. I owe ya one. ;) This morning I woke up at 3 to pee and was lying awake in bed until 4. UGH. Then I fell back to sleep until 5. Thank goodness I atleast get to bed early and sleep hard until 3 or 4! Hey, anytime you feel like takin' a ride, let me know and we'll plan a trip, girl! :D Yup, the owners of the gym that I work(ed) for are scum so I am glad to be getting out of there. I will miss the convenience of it and the people that I worked with but I will NOT miss the pay or the way we are treated there. The ladies I work with want to take me out for lunch tmrw after work. That's so sweet of them. I think I'll have a martini so think of me at lunch time cause I'll be toasting you! LOL Oh btw, Shaun T. is on FB so you might wanna friend him! ;)

Ahhh....whoever invented coffee or foffee;) was a pure genious! I wake up wishing it was brewed right next to my bed:)

Todays workout is gonna be bics ,tris, abs and a run. Not to mention I have tons of other things to do today. Is it just me or does everyone else find it terribly hard to keep their house organized and clean? I feel as if my house is a disaster most times. It looks clean but don't dare open the cupboard doors cause no one know what might fall down on top of you. And thats what I was doing last night. I feel like I need to clean each and every room from top to bottom.....but how long will it even stay like it:confused: I know my SIL's house is not like it b/c she doesn't work and is very organized plus her two girls are older now. I like to think that when DS is older I will find it easier to keep things in their place. Or it could be the fact that my house is over flowing with people whose name isn't signed on my morgage papers? :eek:
K....got a bit sidetracked there. So I need to clean a bit and we are having the president of source for sports(thats the name of DH's francise) here today for dinner along with all of the staff at the store...no spouses though. It shouldn't be that hard b/c I think I am only making one salad and we are going to pick up the rest and the meat will be BBQ'ed.Plus, we have to go to the grocery store to get what we need for that. I was also talking to my coworker last night and she had to go to work today at 4:30 a.m and tomorrow morning at 4:30 a.m. I told her that I would probably be able to do tomorrow mornings, come home and go back to bed and take my sweet time actually going in tomorrow. Tomorrow and sat are rest days so I don't have to worry about getting my work out in.


Wendy** The dog was irritating me mor then the youngster:rolleyes: He is a "in your face" kind of dog anyway but yesterday he was to the extreme. I think he was waiting for something to drop so he could gobble it up!

Morning ladies !

So it is Thursday already? Though y'day was Monday. Can't believe I haven't been here since early Monday and tomorrow is the last day of the week! :eek: :eek: :eek:

It has been hectic and way too busy for me - I need the weekend to recoup. Well I FINALLY got a workout in last night - the first of M2 - MIC. Man after not doing Shaun for so long (only once or twice in a couple weeks) it was tough going for an hour. I passed on the last round of the 3rd set as I was TIRED.

Question: Has anyone seen Shaun even do close to an entire workout or does he just lead the drills? :p Last night I thought - come on Shaun, show us you can do what you are asking of us. I mean he always seems tired and I'm not sure I've seen him do an entire drill with us? Sorry Jen - just being observant as I sweat, feel sore and can hardly breathe. Can Shaun do the workouts? LOL ! :rolleyes:

So I have lots to catch up on - haven't been to Cathe since Mon AM.

Wendy - good to hear you are moving on to something better workwise. Alwasy a drag when the only thing you like are your coworkers.

Lori - When I think of the time I spend working out I could have a much cleaner house - working out is a higher priority for me. I have no kids at home but the dog, birds and DH don't clean up after themselves much so there ya have it ! I'm right there with you and hope to do my yearly "declutter" this winter - I've skipped it the past two years to do other stuff. Wanna work on that one together? A little damage control on the housefront? ;)

Hi Laura, Jen and Diana ! Hope I am back for a while - I hate being away from my peeps ! And I have lots of workouts to catch up on too ! No hockey til the end of the month so that will help too !

MR was on the agenda today. Halfway through I'm thinking "Does he really call this recovery?" To me, recovery = sleep ;) To each their own, I guess.

Wendy: So, give up the goods, girl!! Where can I find my man on FB? I'm looking, but I've come up with about 485 Shaun Thompsons and I can't sort through them all. Aw, have a blast at lunch tomorrow! And only ONE martini for me?? You're going soft on me I think ;)

Lori: Nope, it's not just you with the messy house. I can't keep up anymore. Mine is overrun with clutter and dust and dog hair atm. And unfortunately, it seems all my free time is absorbed with the daily chores like laundry, cooking, grocery shopping, bed making, blah, blah, blah, that I can never manage to gain control over all the chaos. It's infuriating :mad: I need a week off from work to catch up, and who the hell really wants to do that?

Jacque: Sorry to hear you're having a crazy week! BTDT! Trust me, it has nothing to do with being away from workind out with Shaun that MIC was so hard, it's just downright HARD!! I'm not even going to tell you about MIP :eek: Aw, give my boy a break, he's gotta talk the whole time and needs the rest ;) (No, he can do no wrong in my book :D)

Hello Ladies ...

It is a dreary rainy looking day today .. but this is the "cold front" moving in the cooler temps supposedly .. this weekend the high should be upper 60's and dare I say the are predicting some upper 40's for the night :eek: :confused: WOW .. we go from 80 to 40 in a matter of days .. nothing like the South for ya!!! LOL

So I did Max Cardio .. NOTE TO SELF: NEVER do Max Cardio after MY Plyo class :confused::confused::confused: :eek: my legs were FRIED!!!!!!!! OK ladies .. I dont think that w/o was easier than Pure Cardio .. ya'll have really gone insane!!! This had lots of low powerfull squat jumps .. my legs were burning so bad it was pitiful!!! But it was a good workout ... I dont like the high knees, sprint DROP to LOW plank hold thingies though .. that was aweful!!! :confused:

Wendy .. had to tease ya yesterday .. but honestly thought I was having a brain fart!!! LOL ... Sending some winning vibes for ya this weekend!!!!

Lori .. OMG ..girl I really dont see how you do it w/all those people .. I would be nuts ... I like my space and privacy ... KUDOS for you helping out though .. I know I would never leave my parents out in the cold .. but still that is a lot of people in your house .. LOL about the dog .. Buster was on a roll last night .. he was HUNGRY and MEANT he was gonna eat when HE wanted too .. and Toots is going thru a false pregnancy .. she is clingy and B##chy and sad (kind like PMS on crack) ... so it is a bit wild at my house .. she dares Buster to come near her .. she looks at him like she HATES him .. poor baby!!

Jen .. I think Sean T is getting better looking the more DVD i do ..and I didnt really see any room for improvement .. LOL ... he is the motivation for me enduring the insanity .. OH . and my plyo class .. SIL says it is harder than Insanity .. I think it is in some ways ... the plyos are all deep and explosive done for a minute .. then 10 second rest .. then a "recovery" exercise working lower body (like 30 squats, or 30 front lunges or 30 back lunges etc no wieghts) .. so your legs dont really get ANY rest .. then after about 40 min of standing plyo work we go down and do floor plyo work .. burpees, plank runs, plank jacks, plank knees and in between those we do pushups (diff. ones each time) in between .. then it ends w/10 min of solid ab work .. so ya in a way harder .. harder on the body I would say ... but mine are not done as fast paced . . and they are more controlled movements !!! harder maybe b/c your muscles never get a rest .. they are constantly being pushed! But the pace of Insanity is harder for me to keep up with ..

Di .. I LOL last night .. I was in middle of one of the INSANE max cardio things thinking .. HOW MUCH LONGER ... then SeanT said those powerful words "I gotta take my shirt off it is getting hot in here" .. I stopped dead in the middle of my plank and looked at that gorgeous specimen of a man and just rolled and said .. I know what 'cha mean Di!!!!

Jacque .. I was thinking the same thing aobut Sean T last night b/c several of the things he starts doing he gives out on .. and I must say for the entire class not many of them do the entire exercise w/o stopping ... :eek:.. so you are not the ONLY one thinking that .. plus it helps MY feelings knowing all those people have BEEN doing these w/o's and THEY have to stop to catch their breath :D

OK .. today is a REST day .. tonight is the Wildlife Cookoff .. my DB is a judge for the cookoff .. there will be food and CABS all around .. plus a live band . . too bad it is rainy though .. the food is cooked by locals... has to be THEIR own recipe .. and has to be WILD animals cooked .. (bird, duck, deer etc) .. I am only trying something that I KNOW the person cooking it .. LOL!!! OK .. back to work . have a great day!:D
 
Hi Ladies,

I skipped the recovery disc yesterday as I had to be at work early. My triceps..of all things..are sore from the UB w/o the other. This morning was MIC and I have to say I did much better this time around. I took extended breaks (about 15-30 extra seconds) but was able to do almost all the workout without stopping. Also, I'm loving the high calorie burn of these longer w/o's, this morning was 633 which is up from the first at 616.

Had my weigh in today and am happy to report that I'm down another lb. Of course that's over 2 weeks but I'll take it. I didn't make it to the meeting last week.

Tonight I'm taking a bodypump refresher class. They will go over proper form and how to choose the right weight. I have a hard time with the weight selection because they only use 3 different size weight plates, called small, medium and large. If I knew how much they weighed I could do a better job of setting up my barbell for each exercise.

Lori-hope its a short run today. You are supposed to saving your legs for Sunday's race!

Jacque-nice to "see" you. I did the MIC today also but it was my second time through. ITA, I've never seen Shaun do an entire w/o either. I figure as long as I'm pushing myself I'm getting the benefits of these insane w/o's.

Laura-Really...you don't think Max Cardio is easier than PC. It's at a much more manageable pace for me...not that its easy by any means!! Glad you enjoyed Shaun even more when he took his shirt of...and even got a laught out of it. Have fun at the shindig tonight!

Jen-I want to friend Shaun on FB too!! He's one hottie...that's for sure! Spill on the recovery disc since I missed it.

Hey girls !

Well did my 2nd M2 workout - yeeee gads them buggers are tough ! I'm not a real fan because there are too many push ups that have high reps counts and my shoulders can't do them. :confused::mad: I will work on modifications or shorten them to about 8 at a time and see how it goes the next time around. I did see Shaun complete an entire exercise with us though ! :D He was dogged at the end just like me ! :p

So gotta tell you a story about the other night ! We had pouring rain all day and though I was home for lunch and left at 2 PM, when I got home at 5 PM the water was already over our sidewalks ! :eek: It was pouring and pretty soon it was up onto our lawns and up our driveways. My next door neighbor (the one with the aussie we bbsit) and I were watching the cars drive through with rooster tails high as their cars, making waves like a lake shore on our driveways ! We called the DH's and they thought we were being dramatic. They changed their minds when they saw we weren't.

Pretty soon the police officer around the corner started paddling down the street in his kayak ! :p It was a riot ! The DH's finally came home and mine (former plumber, city water & sewer dude & current underground sewer guy) brought home a couple tools for lifting the sewer grills and manhole covers. They dug and shovelled and finally after about an hour and three storm drains the water in the street started going down. Our NDN's aussie was having a blast running around the street going from DH to DH since no cars were attempting to drive around. They lifted a grill on the largest of the 3 and the aussie was running about. In the blink of an eye he disappeared, another blink you saw his head where the grill used to be, another blink and my DH grabbed his neck and yanked him out like he weighed only a lb. ! ! ! :eek::eek::eek: We were all the way across the street caddy corner and just gasped. It happened so fast and was over in a few seconds. Course the aussie came right over and started eating like nothing had even happened.

K - that was about 8 PM. Quite an experience and during the whole thing I ended up with a headache so that totally cancelled both dinner and my workout.

Just thought some of you would enjoy the fact that those of us out in sunny CA are not getting all the "fun weather". Course today it was 84 and muggy from all the water that came down the other day. We got about 5.1/4 inches from Wed. AM to that evening.

That's my story for the night ! Off to hit the shower ! BB in the morning !
