Good Morning Y'All!!

No workout yet for me, but plan on the Fit Test later this morning then grocery shopping and the pool - it is hot, hot hot here. I've really enjoyed adding the UB weight workout this week, it was just enough without overworking myself since it is a recovery week. Now bring on Month 2

Dawn - I think you will like CCB, let us know :) How was golf?

Sandra - Funny on the small town, although I grew up in a large town then moved to a small town so it was a bit of an adjustment. Great compliment on the legs - I'm sure with all your cycling and killer workouts you look great!!

Hi to everyone and have a super Sunday

Sandra, With all the cycling classes you teach and everything else, I'm not surprised at all you get compliments on your legs. Funny thing, I didn't get the urge to do a suicide even once while on the gold course yesterday. ;)

Jennifer, Have a great Fit Test. Enjoy the pool time. Nothing beats it on a hot day (okay maybe other then having a young ripped pool boy over to clean it :D). Golfing was good. I don't know what my score was. I don't even bother to keep track. For me golfing is about getting out on the course, enjoying the scenery and getting a some light exercise in.

It's supposed to be a lovely day and it's my rest day so I'll probably go for a walk and stretch.

Next week here is what I'm thinking.

M: CCB
T: Imax2
W: CCB
Th: Pure Strength Upper body only
F: CCB
S: Something else light since I'll be doing the fit test on Sunday.

I'm going to have to split the 1st week into two weeks because of Labor day. Depending on how the split week goes I may repeat it and do it as planned.

Good morning!

I've just finished my breakfast. I'll get to my workouts in a bit. I'm going to do Cardio Recovery and STS Disc M2 WK4: Chest. I also need to create a Strength & Core class to teach tomorrow. So, that's my fitness to-do list today.

Jennifer - I can't wait to see your Fit Test results! This is for the start of Month 2, right? So, it's your third one? I'm guessing you moved to that small town after you got married? That must have been a big adjustment.

Have a great day!
Sandra

Hi ladies! Awesome workouts this weekend! :D
I got in a 9 mile run Friday...it was hot and humid, but I felt so good when my buddy and I finished!

Daughter #2 is successfully moved in and I must say, I feel a little lost! A little bio~ I got married on my 17th birthday and my son arrived 4 months later, 18 months after that, DD#1, then 11 months later DD#2 and 20 months after that DD#3. When we moved from MI 2 years ago, I gained son #2 who is my son's best friend and 9 months younger, sooo technically he could be mine bilogically! LOL! I am so ready for them to leave, but it's hard to watch them go. The boys still live here (21 and 20) but we're more of a hotel now...they eat, sleep, shower and leave me their dirty clothes and dishes before they're off again! :p DD#3 is 16 and a junior with a part time job. The other 2 girls had *short* days their senior year so Monday will be my 1st day home *alone* for more than 5 hours, EVER! (other than the obvious occasional day) because I homeschooled for 10 years. It is going to be very interesting. Don't get me wrong, I am soooooooooo excited, but it is going to be strange.

On that note...I get to re-start INSANITY tomorrow! I'm not going to re-take the FIT test, but will pick up at the beginning. I am also going to throw in some P90X weights!
Oh, I got the deluxe DVDs and P90X Plus DVDs Friday night! I do think they were priced a little high for the number of workouts, but after hearing y'all talk about them...I HAD to buy them! ;)

I hope everyone is having a great weekend and I look forward to being able to join in with the INSANE reports!

Becky

Hello
Becky, WTG on a 9 miler in heat and humidity. With your busy life, I imagine long runs are precious to you as I would count them as "me time" Enjoy your DVDs, I know you will enjoy them. Please share your opinions on those workouts.

Today I did Max Plyo Interval and I actually liked this workout and did better with it than the Max Interval Circuit. I am amazed that I felt the diamond jumps were easy and I did more power jumps with ease. I am typimg this several hours after I did the workout and now my chest and triceps are beginning to talk back to me because there were a few "different' kinds of pushups. Here I thought after P9oX and P90X+ and Cathe's STS I had done just about every kind of crazy pushup known to man, but Shaun T few a couple more into the mix!
I am quite a bit hungrier hours after this workout than I was in month 1. I really had to stay focused on what and how much I was eating to stay within my calorie budget. It is days like these were I wish I had a personal chef or service that had all my food for the day prepared and prepackaged for me so I wouldn't have to stop and think about serving size or even what type of food to eat.
Have a great Sunday everyone
Brenda

Good Afternoon Y’All!!

Fit Test done and I’m happy :D

Switch Kicks: old 46, new 60
Power Jacks: old 47, new 60
Power Knees: old 76, new 83
Power Jumps: old 37, new 40
Glove Jumps: old 9, new 10
Suicide Jumps: old 18, new 20
Push up Jacks: old 23, new 27
Low plank oblique: old 67, new 88

I’m starting to dig the Fit Test. As you know I’m not typically a numbers gal, but it is cool to see improvements. Each time I do this test I keep thinking there is no way I can push any more and then I do!! Not sure if these improvements will continue throughout the next month, but we’ll see.

Dawn - Your recovery week looks good, I think you will like the added upper body weight work and you can never go wrong with Imax 2. I haven’t played golf in years, but I was never good enough to keep score anyway  A pool boy would be nice, but I’ll settle for a couple of the lifeguards at the local pool ;)

Sandra - Hope your workouts went well. Gosh, I wouldn’t have a clue how to create a workout I guess that is why I’m not an instructor. Yep, DH is the small town boy and I'm the converted big city gal :p

Becky - 9 miles in the heat & humidity - you go girl!! I even contemplated it was almost too hot & sunny to go to the pool. You deserve some “you” time good thing you have some new workouts to keep you busy. I think you will enjoy the Insanity deluxe & P90X+ workouts :D

Brenda - Thanks for the MPI review. I read somewhere that the Month 2 workouts seem to be more strength focused, which sounds great :D

Happy evening everyone, I’m off to chill and watch Harry Potter/Goblet of Fire :D
