Good Morning Y’All!! :eek:

MIST (Max Interval Sports Training) is done. As all the Insanity workouts this one has some interesting moves particularly in the gymnastics section that work you good. Tomorrow is supposed to be a rest day, but I plan to do some yoga. I guess it depends on how wiped out I am after CleanMax today - ughh, I’m dragging my feet. Funny how I can hop out of bed to do Insanity, but cleaning the house just doesn’t give me that excitement :rolleyes:

Dawn ~ Thanks for the Recoverite suggestion. I’m so confused about this ratio stuff. It looks like R&R is 4:1 and Recoverite is 3:1? It also looks like Recoverite is more expensive than R&R? :(

Eunice - ^5s on MIC. It looks like we all did MIC yesterday -it’s a goody. Those full body drills are tough. Sometimes I just do the push-ups in one place for the last couple of sets instead of moving push-ups. Yeah for your daughter cooking - what a luxury :p

Elena ~ The aerobics mat really does wonders for these workouts. LOL re Kim Kardashian. Remember these celebrities have stylists picking out just the right clothes to camouflage their flaws. I’m sure you look great!! :D

I'm off to do MIP in just a bit. I got hip helpers and did just a little bit of it yesterday. I'll see if it helps. :p I don't expect much since I only did the first 18 minutes of the workshop (the introduction of the moves).

Elena, I don't know who Kim is, but I'd be thrilled if the only thing I had to worry about was my hips. ;)

Jennifer, I have read arguements on both sides of the 3:1 and 4:1 camp. I figure it's not that huge of a ratio difference. I was adding L-Glutimine powder to my R&R and it made a difference for me. I liked that the Recoverite has more L-Glutimine so I don't have to add any. Also the Recoverite is about 20 cents cheaper per serving (R&R is 25 servings in a tub and Recoverite is 32). The only thing I liked better about the R&R was that it had a bit more vitamins then the Recoverite. I'm sure either one will be fine for you or you can try the chocolate milk thing. I don't care for chocolate milk myself. Since you work out first thing in the morning and may not eat immediately after you want to take something. Since you can get chocolate milk anywhere maybe try that until you decide. :cool:

Well it is a very rainy saturday here in Boston and I can barely get up enough motivation to type this let alone workout so I suspect that my workout will be more towards the end of the day. I don't know how you ladies are remembering the names for all of these dvd's!

Dawn: I guess your right I should be thankful that my hips are all that bugs me! But I think after being heavy for so many years it's actually hard not to be critical of my body...have to think positively!!

Jennifer: yes I should just get a styalist so that way I would never have to go to the mall and suffer in that dreaded fitting room!!

MIP, Wow that went pretty good overall. I really was able to get my heart rate up this time. I guess now that I'm more familiar with the moves I can concentrate on more speed and power.

If they did a survey I'm sure 99% of woman under 70 would have something they didn't like about their body. The other 1% are lying. :eek: You're not alone.

Today starts the last week of Insanity!! Felt very strong doing MIP this morning. I went all out and had to pause the dvd a couple of times due to dizzines! I really have to get a new battery in my heart monitor watch.... the darn thing read my highest heart rate at 154 and I know my max was much higher.
I don't have cleaning max today but I will be having a paint party in about 30 minutes....anyone who wants to can stop by my tiny SE Indiana town and help me finish up the exterior of a house. The weather is beautiful, the drinks are in the cooler and the grill will be going about 4PM.

Hi everyone!

This morning was MIP and a 20 minute run. I wanted to do the last part twice but I was out of time. Tomorrow is a rest day and I think we are going to the Renaissance festival so lots of walking. I hope I can squeeze some yoga in to. Sorry about the lack of personals - I will try to catch up tomorrow.
 
Hey Elena! I just read an article about the Kardashian girls...Kim and Khloe both are using a new diet pill to help them drop their weight....so don't beat yourself up!

No, Insanity today. Did a 10 mile run and I got my YogaLink DVD already! I just ordered it on Thursday and paid for the cheapest shipping option. (Now if my Cathe DVD I ordered 2 weeks ago would show up!:p)
Wow!!! I am sooo happy I got the hip helper! I am incredibly tight, but after doing the workshop just once, the difference is astonishing! I am so excited!! If $20 on a DVD can save me $20 PER VISIT to PT...what a bargain! I also ordered a different instructor's low back and sacrum helper. I have had episodes of sciatica and it's ALWAYS based out of my sacrum. So, again, a $20 DVD to save me $20 per visit to the chiropractor! Too happy! I'll do the low back and sacrum tomorrow after my INSANITY.

You ladies are rocking the workouts! Brenda, how exciting that you are on your last week! You'll have to share with us if it was everything you hoped for as far as results in your fitness!

Just love that clean house feeling and boy did I clean - really should do that more often ;) Then I took DDs OUT to lunch and the pool since I wanted to keep the house clean - LOL :rolleyes::p

Dawn ~ I’ll stick with chocolate milk for now. DH & I are already hooked on Shakeology so I might as well stick to something we already have in the house and save the $$. ^5s on MIP :D

Elena ~ Hope you got your workout in today. I like working out when it is rainy since then I feel like I’m not missing doing anything outside :)

Brenda ~ Looks like you will finish a couple days ahead of me. I start the last week on Monday. Wish I could join your painting party - actually, I wish I could join with your drinks & meal on the grill ;)

Rainy ugly day, muggy day but we need the rain so no complaints.
Elena- I know what you mean about hips. Sometimes I think no matter how hard I work out, when I look in the mirror I will always see a fat girl. Wish I had someone to airbrush me!

Brenda - wow congrats on being so close to finishing Insanity. What an accomplishment! What are you going to do next?

Becky-10 miles WOW! That is fantastic. I think the only way I could run 10 miles would be if there was a gallon of ice cream at the end of the trail.

I did my last CCB today with Pyramid Lower Body. I think I will do the fit test tomorrow and then Monday start Month 2. The first max workout and fit test in one day is a little too intimidating for me.

Jennifer- aren't you close to the end too?

Ok so I never worked out today. Took my daughter to the mall and spent way to much! Then sat and watched an infomercial on Slim in 6...and all they seem to focus on is the hips, thighs and butt...has anyone done this series? It looks so slow compared to Insanity...but I'm thinking about it....must not go to Beachbody web site!!!

Hi Ela:
Not Brenda but I can tell you what Insanity is. The Company called Beachbody came out with a series by a trainer named Shaun T. If you google either of these you will come up with Insanity. But basically it is a 2 month DVD program that is Cardio based. The DVD's in month one are about 40 -45 min long and in month 2 they are about an hour. It is a very intense program. Like I said Google Insanity + Shaun T and you will find it.
