Good Morning Y’All!!

So I was happily sitting atop my high horse due to my FT improvements from yesterday when MIC knocked me right off of it this morning  Still loved the torture of this workout and I’m glad I did the FT yesterday. I took quite a few more breaks than I wanted, but I will get better. Funny, I haven’t paid much attention to the music in these workouts, but the cool down of MIC reminded me of being on a ride at Epcot Center at Disney World :D

Have a great day everyone gotta’ get DDs ready for the first day of school! :D

Good Morning All,

Looks like everyone had a good weekend.

Today was CCB. That felt good. I didn't get the endorphin rush, but I still felt good after. The burners look harder then they are. I needed a break on the hip flexors in the last 10 seconds, but my hips flexors have always been a tight spot for me. I made it though the shoulders without a problem. I felt it at the end, but it was just a little burn. More of a smolder.

Tomorrow I will do IMAX2 asssumming I get a good night sleep. Otherwise I will either do C&W or PS upper and lower.

Sandra, You mentioned how much you really love the whole Intensity series. I always forget what series has what workouts but I happened to look at the Intensity series as I grabbed my workout for tomorrow. ITA. It really is my favorite of all her series. It would be my desert island series for sure. At least until she releases STS Cardio, (at which time I might pick the whole STS series :D).

Becky,
Glad to hear you got your DD safely off to school for the semester. You should be proud to have raised 5 children. Wow, I can't even fathom the idea. Nine miles and in hot humid weather. I'm pouring buckets just thinking about it. Working inside with Insanity will feel like a vacation now. :D

Brenda, I don't think I've seen the diamond jumps yet, but way to go with them. I hope I can feel as powerful with them, they sound intimidating.
Sounds like your shredding the calories with the M2 workouts.

Jennifer, Lifeguards will due in a pinch. ;) What a great improvement on the Fit test numbers. ^^^5. M2 workouts are supposed to be tougher and I'm sure you did better then you're thinking. I remember how much room I had for improvement with the first week of M1, so I expect to see at least that much room with the first week of M2 (I'm reminding myself of this now so I don't forget next week when I'm sucking air).

Hi Everyone,
Today was Max Cardio Conditioning and the workout just flew by. Since it is a cardio endurance workout, there are a few plyo moves sprinkled in here and there, but I felt it was about the same as the cardio conditioning disc in month 1. To my mind, this is the easiest of the new workouts.
I had to take a "laughing break" about 15 minutes into the workout. There is an exercise where you are doing wide footbal fast feet and when Shaun yells "HIT IT" you drop to the floor and hold a low plank, then he yells "UP" and you pop back up on your feet into the wide fast feet. Well, after about 4 rounds of that, my right toe got caught on the carpet awhile I was poping up from the low plank and I did a very graceful nose dive forward! I immediately paused the dvd and did a quick assesment of any damage, only to find a wonderful rug burn on one knee!! BE CAREFUL IF YOU HAVE CARPET.
Off to the showers and then to the gym to teach my Pilates class. have great workouts everyone

Brenda

Brenda,
Be careful. I know I stumbled once because I didn't pick up my feet enough during the shuffle floor taps. I don't work out on carpet but I was glad I didn't have an audience. Oh and you may want to wear capris and pants for a bit so you don't have to explain the rug burn. Otherwise you may get a few "ah ha sure You slipped while working out, ah ha, right.. wink wink nudge nudge" responses. ;) But don't worry WE believe you....

I just reviewed Max Interval Circuit. Whew. I'm pretty sure I started to sweat just watching it. ;) I'm impressed you gals are able to type after wards. :p Even the warm-up seemed more intense. I can't believe he shortened the stretch. :( I really learned to enjoy that stretch. I'm still looking forward to these (with a bit of trepidation, but looking forward to them just the same)

Good Evening Y'all!!

I can always count on you ladies as my die hard Insanitas!! :p

Brenda - LOL on the carpet trip :p I'm a clutz with the step - can't tell you how many times I've tripped on the step or kicked it making a loud bang at my time in the morning (4:30am) and wincing not only from my injury, but hoping I didn't wake the whole house

Dawn - Congrats on making it through the shoulder burners in CCB. I could handle the hip flexor burners, but by the time he gets to the arm circles I'm crying :(

Sandra - MIC is definitely a doozy, but it is nice that Shaun changes the warm-up for a little change of pace - ditto on the shorter stretch  I was sweaty this morning :D

Have a super night y'all ;)

Good afternoon my Insane Friends!!

I feel fabulous today. It's been a great day. It helps when you start the day off right....going off the deep end! I did Cardio Power & Resistance, and STS Disc 22: Shoulders. My core is actually feeling domsy this afternoon, and I'm not sure if it's from CPR, or the Strength & Core class I taught this morning. Hm. Probably the SC class. Or a result of the double whammy of doing both. I know my hip flexors and core are going to be tired tomorrow, and of course, it's PCC day! At least it's not PC and CA day! That would be bad.

I did much better with CPR today than I've ever done. I'm in the middle of the 3rd week, and starting to find it challenging to Press Play on the workouts. I've learned what to dread.....This is the point in every rotation where I start to have trouble. The novelty excitement has worn off, and I'm still rather far from the end. So, if I want to keep myself motivated, I'm going to have to set mini-goals each day, and each workout. Tomorrow with PCC, my goal will be to improve my ski-abs perfomance. I will attempt to get through the first 2 circuits of the ski-abs without a break. No promises on the 3rd circuit, though!! That is...if I can even do the 3rd circuit of ski abs!!!

Becky - Wow, you've raised 5 kids!! That's a huge act of selflessness. I don't think, no, I KNOW, I don't have that in me, and certainly not at the age of 17!! Enjoy your WELL DESERVED time to yourself!!!! Lay down on the couch and stare at the ceiling for an hour....and relish not having to get up to get somebody something, or find something for someone! P90X+ dvds are worth every penny, truly. Them's are some golden workouts. I'll be pulling them out myself again, after I finish this round of STS.

Brenda - More variations of push ups?! I, too, thought I'd seen them all. Have you ever seen someone do a *back of the hand, one arm push up*? Please don't tell me Shaun has us doing those!! I'll throw the remote at him LOL!!! (And then I'll make my Strength & Core class do them next week ;)). In the Insanity nutrition guide they state that you will need more calories in the second month. I guess you've just proved them right! Are the M2 workouts just like the M1 workouts, only longer? Or has he modified the intensity a bit to account for the longer sessions (I have a feeling that I know the answer....). Oh my goodness! How's your rug burn? At least you could see the humour in the situation!! And laughing is a great cardiovascular exercise :D.

Jennifer - Oh my goodness, LOOK at those numbers!!!!!!! You've made huge improvements!! Happy Dance!! How does one create workouts? Why, you watch a zillion videos and take a multitude of classes, and then use what you liked :D. Okay, there's more to it than that, but definitely having a huge video library from top notch instructors and trainers at my fingertips helps a lot. I get a lot of compliments on my classes and my teaching, and it really should be given back to Cathe, Tony, Amy Bento, and Chalene Johnson. They inspire me every day. How did DD's first day of school go? What grade? You work out at 4:30am? What time do you go to bed?

Dawn - Do you find the entire Insanity program is tough on the hip flexors? I sure do. Poor things. They really don't know what hit them. Man, if I had a desert island series to pick, it would be a TOUGH TOUGH choice! Intensity Series is so much fun, and works you so hard. But the Body Blast Series has a huge place in my heart. Those workouts and the music in them are a bull's eye in the fun-factor department, for me. I really am not able to decide!

Have a great night ya'll!! Am I the only one still doing M1 workouts? What happened to our new poster, who lives in France?

Cheers!
Sandra

Well, as they say...the best laid plans......
I woke up this morning and felt so LOST! I wandered aimlessly around the house looking at my many lists of things to do and did NONE of them!

I did have an excellent PT session and will graduate next week! :D I've made significant strength improvements and was complimented on being such an *obedient* patient! LOL! She is putting me on the treadmill Wednesday to check my running gait and make sure I'm not running incorrectly or in a way to cause more imbalance.
She does want me to give plyometrics a few more days before I start (especially since I told her how many of you have posted about hip flexor usage...my nemesis!) soooo I guess it will be next week before I can start. :( Y'all are going to be done before I begin!

I am really inspired by reading all your reports! Y'all are going to tear up Shock Cardio when it comes out!

And thank you for all the kind words and compliments. Sometimes I think being so young (and sometimes dumb! ;)) made it easier to survive the past 21 years! But, let me tell you, as the kids turned 17~ I *got* why my mom was so incredibly freaked out by me getting married at that age!

Another long run tomorrow and a 5k race scheduled for Saturday! Running with a bunch of friends so it should be a blast. I'm not competitive, just doing it to give myself a target to keep me motivated.

I'll keep checking in and SOMEDAY! start posting INSANITY results!

Have a wonderful evening!

Becky
