Good afternoon my Insane Friends!!
I feel fabulous today. It's been a great day. It helps when you start the day off right....going off the deep end! I did Cardio Power & Resistance, and STS Disc 22: Shoulders. My core is actually feeling domsy this afternoon, and I'm not sure if it's from CPR, or the Strength & Core class I taught this morning. Hm. Probably the SC class. Or a result of the double whammy of doing both. I know my hip flexors and core are going to be tired tomorrow, and of course, it's PCC day! At least it's not PC and CA day! That would be bad.
I did much better with CPR today than I've ever done. I'm in the middle of the 3rd week, and starting to find it challenging to Press Play on the workouts. I've learned what to dread.....This is the point in every rotation where I start to have trouble. The novelty excitement has worn off, and I'm still rather far from the end. So, if I want to keep myself motivated, I'm going to have to set mini-goals each day, and each workout. Tomorrow with PCC, my goal will be to improve my ski-abs perfomance. I will attempt to get through the first 2 circuits of the ski-abs without a break. No promises on the 3rd circuit, though!! That is...if I can even do the 3rd circuit of ski abs!!!
Becky - Wow, you've raised 5 kids!! That's a huge act of selflessness. I don't think, no, I KNOW, I don't have that in me, and certainly not at the age of 17!! Enjoy your WELL DESERVED time to yourself!!!! Lay down on the couch and stare at the ceiling for an hour....and relish not having to get up to get somebody something, or find something for someone! P90X+ dvds are worth every penny, truly. Them's are some golden workouts. I'll be pulling them out myself again, after I finish this round of STS.
Brenda - More variations of push ups?!
I, too, thought I'd seen them all. Have you ever seen someone do a *back of the hand, one arm push up*? Please don't tell me Shaun has us doing those!! I'll throw the remote at him LOL!!! (And then I'll make my Strength & Core class do them next week
). In the Insanity nutrition guide they state that you will need more calories in the second month. I guess you've just proved them right! Are the M2 workouts just like the M1 workouts, only longer? Or has he modified the intensity a bit to account for the longer sessions (I have a feeling that I know the answer....). Oh my goodness! How's your rug burn? At least you could see the humour in the situation!! And laughing is a great cardiovascular exercise
.
Jennifer - Oh my goodness, LOOK at those numbers!!!!!!! You've made huge improvements!! Happy Dance!! How does one create workouts? Why, you watch a zillion videos and take a multitude of classes, and then use what you liked
. Okay, there's more to it than that, but definitely having a huge video library from top notch instructors and trainers at my fingertips helps a lot. I get a lot of compliments on my classes and my teaching, and it really should be given back to Cathe, Tony, Amy Bento, and Chalene Johnson. They inspire me every day. How did DD's first day of school go? What grade? You work out at 4:30am? What time do you go to bed?
Dawn - Do you find the entire Insanity program is tough on the hip flexors? I sure do. Poor things. They really don't know what hit them. Man, if I had a desert island series to pick, it would be a TOUGH TOUGH choice! Intensity Series is so much fun, and works you so hard. But the Body Blast Series has a huge place in my heart. Those workouts and the music in them are a bull's eye in the fun-factor department, for me. I really am not able to decide!
Have a great night ya'll!! Am I the only one still doing M1 workouts? What happened to our new poster, who lives in France?
Cheers!
Sandra
